Greetings from Malaysia. Just rebuilding my 1984 W460 300GD interior. It was originally destined for UK - but apparently spent 1984-2013 in Japan. Then 2013 onwards in Malaysia and now with me in 2024. Thus no rust (!). New (1993 vintage) OM603 engine and associated new autobox being installed this month. Thank you for your inspiring vidoes!

Taking apart a vehicle and reconditioning the parts is less than half the work of a restoration. There is much more work putting it back together. Many videos and television shows don’t show this. Some people think you can put everything back together in a couple days. It doesn’t work that way. Thank you again for sharing your journey with us. This has been entertaining and I look forward to watching the next video.

Hi from UK. Just watched all of you G Wagon episodes. Loved it particularly as I too am restoring my own 1982 300GD. Last week I removed all of the axles and suspension from the chassis. Keep up the excellent work guys. 👍

An incredible amount of work, but it's all paying off and coming together. Looking forward to the next episode!

Your making great progress. Taking on such a project will help you learn the car inside out! For future repairs it's going to be really helpful. Be sure to keep the bottom trim piece clean from mud in the future. That was the first place my G started rusting.

I would definitely drop the nuts and washers into the most inaccessible spots. Nice work.

Ich finde, dass der G im Original ohne Kotflügelverbreiterung am besten aussieht.

did you reuse the exterior trim of the old car or get new ones. (at 4.30), if old, how did you clean them, fix them. if new, where did you order them?

Good performance guys! I'm a bit scared of the wiring because I also have custom cables added by the previous owner to the wiring harness -.-
