I have been viewing and searching wherever possible, to learn more on how to work and maintain these amazing machines! I have an ‘87 w460 280ge, in the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 which I hope to restore and have as my retirement gift to myself😊!
With that in mind, I have been a devoted follower of brothers Jonas and Lasse Freitag on their “Rhova” Project, as well as Felix Stansen of “Felix_themechanic”. These guys have done some outstanding work!! However, and as much as I hate to say it…both these CZcamsrs fell short! They didn’t see their projects to the end, leaving a whole lot of us in “limbo” and disbelief…. “Project Zombie Hunter” was ok, but a bit lacking in precision and finesse. They all offered good-to-great Body Work skills (and some undercarriage)! but failed to give us “the inner substance” as you have so very clearly, honestly and masterfully done here. Thank you and KUDOS to you!!!👋🏼

what sump are you using and what dipstick and tube ?

The car came with boxes of parts..
It had the original 6 cylinder in before, in the boxes was the original sump, dipstick and oil pump so I swapped them over onto the 606

Sorry I’m thinking of the current 606 build, my customer supplied a 605 fully built for this project

It’s tilted back quite a lot, your limited by the gearbox clearance
