In this experiment you will see .500 Nitro Express ammo exploding outside the gun barrel. .What Happens? What powerful?
Targets : ballistic hand, apple, watermelon, coca cola can and wooden plank.
I used a Gopro Hero 10 camera for slow motion. 240 fps.

awesome video. clearly that brass is strong enough to direct the force forward and keep that bullet moving at a lethal speed. so just one thing id be interested in seeing in these tests is a side by side comparision between what your doing down and a lightly held shell set off by flame and having a hand at each end. everything i have ever seen shows that the case can be just as dangerous as the bullet.

steele casings are said to be stronger than brass, so it makes sense that more energy can accelerate the bullet before bursting the sides. i wonder if the impact energy is equivalent or higher to a 22 lr out of a chamber.
It’s a brass case with Nickle coating. The brass ona round that big has a very thick base. That’s why the case blew out way farther out on the shell than a normal rifle round or pistol round

I am not familiar with that round but I wonder, it appears the casing isn't brass but something stronger which appears to hold together a lot better in comparison to the other calibers you have used. And since it stayed together better, definitely more energy was imparted on the projectile. Absolutely love these tests. Vyborne!

That was very expensive. But once again demonstrating that the brass is usually far more dangerous than the bullet when rounds go pop outside of a gun.

The fact that it wouldn't go through the melon demonstrates how much power is being lost by not having a chamber and barrel. Be interesting if you had positioned stuff right next to the round to demonstrate how much more like a hand-grenade it is than a bullet when you detonate them like that.
I would like to see you firre those cannons at the edge of a blade. Something like a katana or some other types of blades.

The bullet won't do enough damage but might injure someone. It needs to spin to cut through the layer of the person's skin. Otherwise it'll just make a mini hole on the body.
So from this a conclude that watermelons are rated to stop a 500 nitro. I can grow my own ballistic vests!🤦♂🤦♂

Can't be accurate since the cartridge was locked into place. When this does happen, energy transfer is expelled equally to both the casing and projectile. So you lose quite a lot of energy by not stabilizing the casing.
