Sound suppression chamber does nothing to the fake engine noise. It only stops the turbo whistle you get from having a free flowing filter
Love the car but you're right, it doesn't need a fake exhaust noise.

Nice custom bits. Very informative review. Wokingham Ford (Think Ford) are great. Fitted my Mountune 375 and LSD to my RS.
Lovely looking car, I personally would have gone for the 400 Mountune package, it really does transform the car. Reliability is generally not a problem. I love the colour blue, it makes the car look very cool. Great video.
Nice vid man!! If that rs has a mechanical lsd that will be why it's a bit lively under acceleration in a straight line, as he said its power going from one wheel to the other for grip. That's what I miss in my golf r compared to my old astra vxr that was 330hp, was great fun trying to hang to it in a straight line haha

Honestly I would take this over the RS3, A45 AMG, Golf R and m140i. This is a monster driver's car. Like a modern day legendary Evo
Mamunur Rashid my friends dad has an RS3 with over 600 crank horsepower with just a dyno tune, and downpipe, and he has an RS with a little over 400 crank horsepower. However the feal of the RS taking turns and corners is amazing (he did aftermarket coilovers)
What about the Civic type R?
Spider mite 805 a civic type r would have been great if they hadn’t made it fwd, if you’re planning on leaving it stock, or nearly stock, that’s probably the best car you can get, but the fwd really holds it back.
Yeah the civic type r is definitely certified. I know it's front drive but the car handles like a dream.

I have the mountune forged package which is currently running the 400x map. Going upto the 520 next year once this build has a few miles on it. Love mine now compared to the awful Sabre 450r forged package it did have on it.

I am on my 3rd car in under 12 months, I tend to move on every few months, however this is a keeper for me, love the drive, love the handling and deffo a looker in the Nitrous blue...

I have the mt400 kit on mine. Have it in white. Epic car, you can have more fun in these, than you can in a supercar
mines running the m400x mountune made it a new car now lot of fun
My Evo IX when I owned it, was running 520bhp, if I went very slowly, not above 60 mph in top gear, I could get 18mpg, however when I floored it, 3 mpg was the most I would get, but what a car that was.

The sound suppression chamber doesn’t stop sound from being piped in the speakers.
I'm sure the RS mk3 doesn't pipe sound through the speakers anyway (e.g. sound symposer), I think the ST's had that, but the sound never came through the speakers, it was piped directly into the cabin. I think BMW's pipe the sound through the car's stereo system.
@@Flipflop432 The RS does have sound piped into the speakers, there is a connector in the hatch that you can disconnect to disable.

The fpm375 kit doesn’t come with a suppression chamber, if it’s 380bhp it’s not warranted. Also the scorpion system isn’t ford approved where as the mountune v3 cat back is.
Great review though I have a magnetic grey mk3 rs and love it, they are a drivers car 👌🏻

I’d have the current Focus RS over any of its rivals.The RS3 is a great car but for the money the focus wins everytime.
Rs3 tune really well, basically engine is coasting as it comes out the factory. Guys are making 6-700 bhp on stock engine while stage 1 maps are cracking focus blocks
Aaron R not everyone wants big big power though. Especially if someone’s not used to it, I’d go for an RS. That’s just my opinion

We did a stunt day organised by Ford in these and it was brutally brilliant! Unfortunately, every single one had the engine warning light on. Hopefully they fix this issue.
They wont because the engines are notoriously fragile. Don't know why ford can't design a reliable engine anymore.

I will never sell my e86 M, all these contemporary turbocharged car are muted, the only make exhaust noise, what about the engine sounds of the 90s. Alright I will keep smiling in the slower lane but I am driving my car, it not driving me and I will keep my money in my pocket. Nice review Jamie!

if you buy the 375 from mountune they provide a m-tune handset that voids warranty only ford can load the map to hold warranty.

I'm suprised there is a warrantee on any up grades on an a engine that has earned fame for unreliability! However at least you have the peace of mind.
Minus the certain build dates with the headgasket issue the engines are great. Ford also replaced any of the cars with the wrong headgasket.... You need to stop reading all the bullshit and actually learn something about the car
Ben Oliver it’s hard to learn anything when ford denied there was problems to begin with, then they say the problem was just the round type of gasket used where as others pin the blame on the open deck block design

BOOSTEDDUDE yea man not exactly sure what was happening with the audio same set up but for some reason it suffered with crackle, next review has been recorded and I believe the problem has gone now 🤞🏽

Actually over in the UK and European countries they have more options for the interiors. Try getting the manual bucket seats and that steering wheel over here in the states, you just won’t be able to find the part numbers at any of the parts houses.

My only problem with Focus builds is that everything is a damn bolt on. There's like 3 routes to go (or that everyone goes) with performance parts and once you've seen one build you've seen most of them. I daily a 2017 Focus SE that I'm building, and I have these same tail lights so far (gotta pay if off before I touch the drivetrain) but after looking into the performance parts I was underwhelmed. I'm thinking about going JDM for my next project, or retro Euro.
Of course JDM is the platform that has endless options to play with.
Everything is a bolt on, from a 65 Chevelle, to the Focus RS. There's also software tunes.....
@@dmvfocusrs7591 I should have clarified. I mean I see the same preset visual builds on most RS, if they choose to even do anything. The ones I've seen at my meets were all CJ Pony Part warriors with daddy's money to blow on carbon for their factory stock hot hatch.

Adam Jordan he’s running the FPM375 he’s just got a Scorpion exhaust fitted which quotes around 8bhp gain.. so he’s rounded is power figure to 380bhp.. but hey don’t shoot the messenger 🤷🏽♂️
