Visited my local Goodwill yesterday .I found an original Tasha Tudor pencil drawing.i paid $10.00 and I looked it up and valued around $8,000.00.

This is very strange. I'm here completely randomly from the CZcams algorithm, and I thought it would be fun to search for the artist of the drawing you found at 2:40. The web search helped figure out the spelling: it's Mollie Poupeney. I was amazed to see it pop up that she was from the small town in the San Francisco Bay Area where I grew up! The Moraga/Orinda area. And, in fact, I just came back to the video to see that print is called "Orinda Summer" -- WOW what a coincidence! I hope you ended up getting it (I'll find out as I finish this video), although not sure of the value. Looks like the Orinda Historical Society has some of her art pieces.

I'm not sure if you are aware, you probably are .but I just found out that my frist uv light is a 395nm i upgraded to a uv 365nm and found some of my clear glass glows that did not glow with the 395nm. I was dumbfounded and pleasantly surprised. Thank you for sharing.

when my boys were growing up, I went to lawn sales and rumage sails and bought different plates. That way my dinnerware was pretty but if one broke, it didn't spoil a set.

I am actually surprised how high some prices are at Goodwill. That cool long oval dish (mid-century ceramic) seems pricey, considering it was donated to Goodwill.

Not at a "Goodwill", but it used to be. I bought a print for five dollars (actual $2.50, because 50%off everything day...). I knew it was an etching, because art background... Looked up the artist. Not terribly old, but all of the pictures I find on this particular piece only show the middle 60% of the entire scene, like the artist or the reprinters only liked that portion. I think I have an original etching. Kind of like having a real Norman Rockwell.
Plus, I really like the etching!

I am beyond envious of your thrift stores! I used to bring so much back from CA & AZ when I used to visit USA regularly when my dad was still alive. I'd scoop up baskets of costume jewelry & more often than not, find at least one piece worth decent $ amongst the lot. I sooo miss having access to those stores. We do have them here too but we don't have the jumbo size stores you guys have.

Spicey and Cheese on the thrifting hunt again.
I just recently bought home where the previous elderly owner passed away. Her daughter wanted to sell the house with all of the furniture, dishes, bedding, lamps, pictures, basically everything left as her mother left it. So, I have a house chock full of antiques. Am I over the moon? You bet! However, I do find it sad that the deceased woman's daughter didn't want to keep or deal with at all, her mother's beloved items. So, your videos are a big help for me to try and gauge the value of these items. Luckily the Antiques Roadshow is coming to my town and I am hoping to take some of the items to be looked at. I love watching you shop, thank you!
I recently inherited a home filled to the brim - from garage to attic - with tchotchkes. Much of it is not worth anything, unfortunately, but every now and then I come across something interesting. I'm learning a lot from videos like this and keeping a database of names to look for, as well as makers marks. Would love to know what you find in the house & how you determined it was a collectible!
It's nice to see that even though your stores do research before pricing they make it to your shelves. Our store use them at auctions, so we don't stand a chance. And as of lately our shelves aren't even as stocked as yours. I would be broke at your Goodwill. 😆 thanks for sharing.
