I wanted to share this with you. I’m a certified welder with 33 years experience. I did a lot of fab work. One thing we used for rust control was a product from Interstate Products. It was called One Step Rust Killer. We used it on a lot of different projects and it works well.
Love snow camo. Really like this fact you didn't use the stencils for the camo. The Raptor texture looks cool as hell. Green camo was nice, snow made it better. Come on 150K subs!

That is really slick! It looks like Russian military or something. With all the work you have put into this little truck I think you should get the seats reupholstered and maybe tint the windows.

Very nice! Great bang for the buck (money and time). Time spent on prep is essential. Too many people rush the prep and are unhappy a year or two later when rust bubbles underneath or the polyurethane is flaking.
I have a 1996 4WD Hijet that should be shipping from Japan soon... hopefully this week. It's getting a rolled medium gray Monstaliner "paint" job, inside and out. The seats and dash come out of the Hijet fairly easily. The bed liner should help dampen sound in the cab. I'd have never considered rolling on any automotive finish but the results are surprisingly good with no overspray and much less masking. I'm going for a heavy texture in the bed and a lighter texture elsewhere. Unlike Raptor, there is no chopped rubber in Monstaliner so the finish is entirely a function of the application technique. Use a heavily textured roller to roll the second coat after it starts to cure and thicken and it'll make a heavier texture. Change rollers often to avoid pieces chunking off into the Monstaliner. The Hijet is also getting a 2" coil over lift with heavy progressive springs and trimmed lower doors to fit 25" Tusk Terrabite DOT rated all terrain tires without rubbing.
Of all the car guys I watch, you post quality videos! It’s not all talk or boom here’s the finished product. You also educate and show hands on work witch I appreciate!

If you wave a torch over those plastic door mirror covers you could clean those up and bring some life back into them pretty easy, just a thought. Love the build!

Hey Austin great job on the paint. Thats my favorite camo colors. I wanted to get a tocoma and have a wrap put on it in those colors. Thats what you should do to the red taco paint it red and black. Thanks man for your great videos keep up the great work. David.
From a utilitarian aspect I would bed line the inside of the cab up to windshield level. Wouldn't worry about show quality but sure saves the wear and tear as well as rusting. Saw one Kei truck that had bed lined the inside outside and underneath. Wasn't a great look but not bad and it sure lessened the worries of a branch scratching the paint!
