TwoWheelObsession I have a used FZ-09 but my bike won’t start in any gear other than nuetral.m, and yes the kick stand is up and the clutch is held in any suggestions?
If you get a puncture off to the side of the tread , it's going down. The ride on stays toward the center of the tire. Found it out by experience. Friggin finishing nail in a basically new rear tire.
Thanks for a great video regarding the use of our Ride-On Motorcycle Tire sealant and Balancer. I just want to point out that you don’t need to ride a bike immediately after installing the product. You can install and reinflate your tires and let the bile sit for months. The first time you use it, it will spread.
Secondly, the motorcycle formula seals most punctures in the crown of a tire that are up to a 1/4” In diameter (1/8” in tube tires). Make sure that the product has been fully spread out and tires are warm before removing the object and riding the bike immediately following the removal of the object. Tire sealing in motorcycles should be for emergencies only and the tire should be repaired or replaced as soon as possible following a puncture.

It really works. I had a big screw in my tire like the kind they use on home foundations. I only noticed that it had a object in the tire as at low speed I heard a click sound. When I had the tires replaced it was not all a mess either. Water rinsed it out. This was on a 2008 FJR as well.
I've been using this for a month now on my 2007 FJR. The biggest change is that I need a bit more force to change direction. If you keep the bike stationary for a few weeks, the first 8 kilometers you'll feel the wobble you felt when you just put it in the tire. I didn't even feel it the ride after I did the heat cycles for the new tires.
I've been using "Slime" brand sealant for almost 20 years for the same reason. An ounce of prevention as they say. Still I carry a plug kit, just in case.

Hello, i have seen all of your mt-09 videos.they helped me a lot and i d like to know if its possible to make a video for cam tensioner adjustment?
In the late 90s at our local cafe. There was like a trade show of something along the same lines. He had a old motorbike tyre set up. Get a crowd round him and off he go. Stabbing the tyre with a bradawl giving the tyre a spin and the puncher would seal. I instantly got him to do mine, valve out one x amount pushed in. Very similar to how you did yours. As the miles racked up never did get a puncher( knowingly). At time for new tyre I repeated his show and lost 1psi from removing the bradawl to it sealing. I have used it numerous times since.warming the bottle a little making it easy to squeeze has always helped. The name escapes me at moment 😱but will edit, next time I go into work shop. I do know it’s not green goo or slime.👍

I can testify to the balancing properties of RideOn. I put the stuff in and it smoothed out my ride better than balancing weights did. As you said, you must inflate the tires and take a ride right away after you put in the goop. I have no air compressor, so I used a bicycle pump -- which worked fine. As to how well RideOn seals punctures, I can't say yet: after two years, I've run over nothing that stuck in my tires. RideOn is worth it, though, just for how evenly it balances the wheels!
Three of us used this in 3 sets of tires from Alaska back to the New England area without balancing the tires due to the self balancing claim. 2/3 sets worked, mine developed really funky wear patterns and needed to be replaced much earlier than expected. This was a set of Continental Trail Attack 3’s. Two of the bikes had this tire and the other had no issues so it may just have been a bad tire. It’s good peice of mind for the puncture resistance although I think it just protects the midsection of the tire. I didn’t have any issues with it removing the tire.
Yes, I went over where it protects. And as I said I’m not using it for balancing.
First of all I just want to say I love your channel. I just bought a 2003 fjr that has a manual cam chain tensioner and the cam chain just has a little more noise than I like. My question is should I replace the tensioner with a stock adjuster or just try and readjust the manual tensioner. I'm asking you because I know you have quite a bit of knowledge on fjr's and you would lead me in the right direction.

I have a 2014 FJR1300A Red. I have added Spirit Blast handlebar guards with led running and turn signals. They are great, haven’t wired them up yet. I am looking for suggestions how to. I see a turn signal plug under the right battery cover. What do you suggest on the left? Each lead is 30” long 4 leads 2 for turn and two for running. Bob
Used that stuff for years in my Victory and it does work! I hit a nail and never lost a psi. I don't use it now with the TPMS in my BMW but it is great stuff!!

Hi guys, I'm using this on my (2017) R1200GSA, with no impact on the TPMS function after six months. Installed before last big trip across central Australia (dirt and paved - 7,500kms), completed with no punctures, but hard to credit this to RideOn. Off-road risk is more tyre [sidewall] tears, which are beyond RideOn capability, whilst it provides more protection against on-road debris.
I've had two on-road punctures in the last five years (100,000kms), prior to RideOn; six months puncture free with RideOn.
Tells me nothing, but it's a bit of added assurance which never hurts.
One claim of this product is that it maintains constant air pressure in your tyres, but of that I am not convinced.

I ride an FZ-6 configured as a lightweight sports-tourer with a comfort seat, handlebar risers taller windshield and canvas bags. I need to replace my tires and I am wanting to get a safe long-lasting tire that is good for the street (I rarely depart from paved surfaces). I want something that is smooth riding and puncture-resistant with the ability to provide good traction on wet or dry surfaces. I'm an older rider living in Oklahoma and travel mostly to the south and west on fairly straight roads and Interstate highways I typically ride exactly on the speed limit unless there is a good reason to speed up or slow down. Consequently, I am not much of a high-speed canyon carver and my tires tend to wear in the center displaying medium-width chicken strips. I do carry a small compressor, CO2 cartridges and plugs but would only use them when roadside services and/or towing aren't available. My insurance and auto-club provide those services for free. I'd like to know what tire you would recommend for me and if you could recommend an after-market TPMS since my bike is not equipped with one. Also, I assume from this video that you would also recommend that I use this sealer.
Shake the bottle first and don't cut the bottle tip off that far down, make sure the tube is pushed onto the bottle and valve stem tightly. Squeeze the bottle and let off like a pump action and firmly tap the bottle bottom (which should be up) several times as your filling. After filling, blow into the valve stem with a little air to clean it out and re-install the core...don't over tighten. Inflate the tire, spray some windex or soapy water solution into and aroung the valve stem to make sure there's no air leaks...blow out the solution, check for correct psi and then put the cap back on. Do both tires and then go for a 5 - 10 mile ride at highway speeds. I had no problem putting it in through right angle valve stems.
I run ride on in both my Harley tires it's awesome now I run ride on for ATVs in my ATV tires also in my zero turn tires.... it's great.
Good tip Bryan. I just got my first nail in the rear tire this week so of course I'm checking your channel for a vid.. and here it is! One question though: do I understand correctly that it remains in a thick, liquid state? If so, does that mean that you get the re-balancing shake every time you ride, as presumably, it would settle to the base of the tire each time you stop?
IT does remain a thick liquid and will last the life of the tire easily. I put this in my tires on my 2017 ZX14 and left the weights on the rim. I never noticed a wobble and still to this day with 3 punctures over the last 3 years with the same tire have not had much of an issue with zero wobble. I did have one nail that was bent that went in and did have the Ride-on ooze out slightly for several weeks but still held tire pressure. I am a believer in this product. I have been told not to repair a hole on a bike and the dealerships won't do it. I would say the money I spent on this stuff is well worth it. I was able to not have to buy a new tire 3 times so you do the math!

I'm just curious since I live in the North and when the bike sits in the Winter months it can get 5 to 10 degrees below ZERO here. I wonder if it changes anything chemically to the product (or freezes) and if when it thaws in the Spring the material still has it's maximum puncture protection or is drastically diminished?

So right now there is a $#$n screw in my brand new Michelin 6 that has maybe 100 miles in it. Should I put this in, roll it around a bit, then take the screw out and let it do it's thing or remove the screw first, then put it in and refill and ride?
Edit: Im reading up on tire gunks for repairing punctures. Will this work at highway speeds. Slime brand has a disclaimer saying only good to 45 MPH. What about this one?

I have no idea if this works after you have a hole, you'll need to ask them. It probably does. It's rated to 185 MPH, no worries.

It's all scratched up and looking to replace. Mine is a 08 in black. Will any model fit the fjr and do you know where I can order one. I'm having a hard time finding one

If you pick up a nail or screw do you extract it from the tire or leave it in?
You take it out ASAP and then immediately ride it to seal.

Just food for thought my man, next time you have new tires put on or have the tires off for whatever reason, you should get some right angle metal valve stems they are awesome for air access or this. Also they don't have to be replaced when getting new tires so the price usually will more than even out. They run about $25.
I don't need them, both these bikes have plenty of space for all my stuff.
Hi, can you remember if the seal for the bottle came off with the cap?? I just bought 2 bottles and they are only 6.75 fl oz and the seal on the bottles are stuck under the cap/nozzle. Thanks

Excellent video, do you think it will be a mess if you ever or when you change your tires? I heard some tire installers will not even touch your bike if it’s got the slime puncture protectant inside.
No, that's an advantage of this over others. It just forms a layer on the center of the tire only and wipes right off of anything
Set the tires apart for a full day, then you can just wipe the goo out. In Europe you can't recycle tires with the goo, it's 2 different recycle tracks.
No need with this, it wipes off. They have videos showing it.
Hi Richard, no you can scrape clean, and even transfer product to new tyres. It's water based and washes clean with water (for recycling). See my earlier reply to MCTeck also.
Slime is a messy product, Ride-on is not.
I wonder if you will have problems finding a shop to replace your tire. I’ve had tire shops refused to touch tires that have had slime or other tire sealant because it makes a mess of the equipment and the shop.
Non issue.
It stays on the tire. All it takes is some soapy water and a scrub brush and it wipes out easily and completely from the tire. Maybe 3 minutes time. I have heard that Slime is a bitch.

It states it is 85-95% effective in tubeless tires & 55-65% effective on tube tires. Also any puncture is up to a 1/4" for tubeless but only an 1/8" for tubes. Food for thought. I highly recommend this product. I have tubeless tires and it has saved me from having to buy a new tire 3 times so far over 3 years on one tire.

If You Have Your Tires changed at a Shop,Tell the Tech 'My Tire has a "sealant in it" . I went to remove a Tire from a rim at work and was Showered with Goo......It happens to Auto Tire shop's too..

I did tell my tyre tech that I had RideOn installed, prior to tyre change. He reported its much better to handle than slime, and happily removed and transferred (most of it) to the new tyres. I had heavy duty application originally installed for off-road trip, so now still expect it is normal to a bit heavier than standard application.
It doesn't really matter if you never get to see the sealant in action.
The only thing that matters is that all the stress of getting a flat tire is gone out the window.

I don't know about how well it balances tires, if at all. I do know that those "balance beads" don't work. I spin balance my tires. It will seal a typical nail/screw/staple puncture. But it has a few drawbacks. Number one, it is super expensive. Number two, it is almost impossible to get all of it out of the bottle and into the tire. There will be about a quarter inch of it left in the top of the bottle that just won't come out. That wouldn't be a really big deal if it weren't so expensive. They need to find a way to let you get every last drop of it into the tire. Number three, and this is probably the biggest problem, is if you have your tires replaced at a shop, most of them won't touch a tire that has this stuff in it. I had a valve stem break off in a wheel with a nearly new tire that I had put Ride-On in, and had a really hard time finding a shop that would even touch it. I finally found one, and they charged me a full hours labor to replace that broken valve stem. It would have been 15 minutes if not for the Ride-On being in there. I now carry a couple bottles of it and a plug kit with me, but won't put it in the tire unless I have to.

I owned/operated a dump truck for years using a sealer/balancer called PneumaSeal. A thixotropic gel the military and the U.S. Postal trucks use. Saved me sooo much down time and money on a commercial truck. I would amaze someone by getting the vise grips and just pull a framing nail out the tire, get back in and drive on. I had to inspect the tires periodically for objects because they would not lose any pressure. The 8x24 in. 95-105 lbs. pressure tires would go a month or months without losing a pound. Those tires took 1 quart per tire. Was $8-9 per quart in the 90's-2000's
