    Just for anyone seeing this video.. The Throttle linkage is on the left side (when looking at the motor from the front). The choke linkage is on the right. The vane that was removed is not the governor, the vane is for the "auto choke".

    That is interesting that one engine still uses a vane style governor and the other has an internal . Good job cleaning the carb and getting it going once again.

      Thank you Duke. Just to let you know, after comments from you and Missouri Oldtimer, I am going to fix the Cub Cadet and just keep the Husqvarna for a parts machine for now. Maybe I will come across another V-Twin engine to put into that one.

      It is worth maintaining your mower, but determining the problem first is always helpful.

    Thanks for sharing George. This should help people with this model of Husqvarna and engine. A lot of work just to remove the Carb. Tell kevin to listen to and do what the doctors tell him to do this comes from someone who Had his Aortic valve and more replaced in 2009!! God Bless.

      It's not THAT difficult to remove the carb.
      The average mechanic can do it but being mentally prepared to remove so many bits is the shocker.
      Good thing is that the majority of the pieces can be left off to test out the new carb.
      Once it is confirmed to be good, getting it all back together is simply a matter of doing simple assembly.

      I finally found out how to identify the registration plate and have now ordered the proper carburetor model.

    Great fix. That engine is really badly water damaged and the carb looks very difficult to get to and pull apart

    My problem right now and I've replaced the intermediate brake / clutch switch, seat safty switch when I release the parking brake it shuts down !

      Bypass the seat switch completely and check your clutch switch wiring.

    Hey man I know this is late. Do you know what carb would work as a replacement? I have the vein style carb and can’t find the replacement

      Any carburetor will work, but you'll have to swap the linkages over from your original vane style governor. I haven't found one that is a direct bolt on with the correct linkage. Sorry.

      You'll need to reference the model number for your engine found on the valve cover, if it is a Vtwin engine.     I have a 24v48 and it never ran right from day one. All the engine wants to do is search all the time, and I could never figure it out.

    I have a dif. model. YTA22V46 single carb. I see no work on these and my carb is a single. Things are diff.

    It's not a vain governor. It's an auto choke. If you don't know what you are doing don't try to tell people the wrong information.

      @@TheShadeTreeFixitMan I do know what I'm talking about That's the problem is you still don't know the difference The governor is connected to the bottom of the block right underneath the carburetor not to the choke lever That vein opens up and shuts the choke off when the engine starts It doesn't control the governor That's old style thinking they used to cover the governor years ago not anymore

      Engine model # is deeply stamped into metal valve cover. Older B&S, number is stamped on side of metal shrould...lightly stamped, clean area gently and use chalk t highlight number. Sticker with number on plastic shroud is an emissions number...worthless for obtaining parts.
