    I search CZcams for this video each time I need to drop the deck. Very good explanation of how to remove. This is a super "how to" video. Much thanks.

    A very handy tip. Place a piece of rigid cardboard or an old piece of carpet under the deck before undoing the linkages. This will help you to slide the deck out much easier without scraping it along the rough concrete. You all saw how hard it was to drag it out right ?

    You did a great job and took your time explaining what you were doing. This made my removal and replacement much much easier on my YTH24V48. Thank you for taking time to make this "how to" video!

    I thank you, Pitt. That driver side bracket broke off the deck about 3 years ago and I welded it back on, and it broke again, so this time I used angle iron and bolted it all together. Then I was left with a pile of pins and nuts and bolts. Your video saved me a lot of head scratching.

    Thank you sooo much. I just bought the 2017 version so I assume it’s the same. It gets delivered tomorrow and I was worried how I would get it into my back yard as I have a gate that is 46” and I planned on cutting the metal post and welding it but now I know and I never even thought about removing the deck. Thank you again you saved me!! This is why it’s important to post things people even if you don’t know if you can do a good job it doesn’t matter this guy did a great job and saved my A$$! From Sacramento California done while in shelter lock down.

    Thanks for the video. Just FYI to anyone driving the tractor after taking it off. I managed to break the galvanized rod that gets disconnected and dangles from the front driving in reverse. It's probably best to remove it too if you plan to drive it around without the deck on. And also remove the back bar which dangles from the back. I've had the thing for 3 days and broke it, I'm sure that's not a record, but probably well above average ;)

    • @DickButtley
      @DickButtley Před 4 lety

      I just replaced the blades on this model yesterday. Hold the blade with a rag and turn the bolt in the center of the blade counter clockwise with a 5/8 socket. I used the rag for the outter 2 blades and for the center one I held it with a pair of vice grips. I found that it was easier holding it with the vice grips. And when you put the new blade on make sure the "grass side down" is facing down and you'll notice on the center of the blade there's a star pattern.. make sure that star lines up with the star on the rod you're attaching the blade back into. It took about 15 with the deck still attached. It would be much easier if the deck was off.
