  • In this video I am cleaning out a carburetor from a 24HP Briggs and Stratton V-Twin Lawnmower engine. Carburetor was causing a surge in the engine. I show the linkages, removal of the carburetor and how to disassemble and clean the carburetor.

    Excellent production - straightforward presentation. Tips re: locktited bolts - invaluable imho also the use of 4mm socket if torque spanner n/a. Thanks so much

    Helpful for sure.the white float bowl piece refuses to come out of my float bowl.Also what does the solenoid in the float bowl do?

      I think it cuts the fuel on and off... I've heard it called an anti-backfire solenoid as well...
      Try soaking the carburetor in some cleaner. That float bowl should come off without a lot of effort.
