The conditions in this race were the most brutal ever. Snowing at the top, treacherous off camber muds and roots...then wicked boggey mud through that forest section. Titans fell.

This was more interesting than a dry track to me.
This is from trainingday and it was nearly dry. The muddy wet race on sunday was something totally different - including snow comeing from the side!
Insane conditions. Sunday race will be crazy.

So AccuWeather says that it's 4ºC day 70% rainy for Sunday in the Saalbach area with the precipitation being sleet (almost-liquid snow) or even snow. Can the DH Worlds be cancelled? If so, can they be rescheduled for Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday?
if weather was a real factor for race day, they'd use seeding day results as final resutls. i think it's happened in the past. sad if it does happen.

it's for safety...
they whistle when bikes reach a certain point, to let the next Marshall up the course know it's safe for next rider

TBH it’s hardly a world champs this year with many countries missing. More in the vain of the US ‘world champs’ lol.
All of them have very crappy biomechanic techniques these past years even Gwin, they're all relying on their bikes ”secret adjustments" to ride fast, i think there's gonna be a lot of injuries on this race.
