- After the sloppy mud fest of World Championships in Leogang, it was a refreshing (and frightening) site to see the fastest mountain bike racers on the planet smashing their bikes on the hard-packed DH track of Maribor, Slovenia. This is the first World Cup Downhill of the 2020 season after massive delays due to COVID19. This a double-header race weekend with two different qualifying and race sessions. The tracks will be mostly the same but with a few different sections. #MTB #downhill #VitalRAW

I'm not qualified to answer that question. Everyone was fast enough to make me quit mountain biking so...
Am I the only one that looks at this video and the track looks "red" instead of "black"? Like the average slope and all that looks rideable. I'd go down slowly like I always do but I feel this is the only World Cup track in like a decade I could actually complete without walking.

@@garage3022 Like Fort William, it has the flat out speed but it's not _that_ steep compared to other tracks. Then it has the crazy roots / holes that can catch you out like Val Di Sole. (and obviously mountain bike race tracks can't make a baby so it was just a joke **shrugs**)

Whoever recorded the video between 1:05 and 1:21... You are a beast!!! That's one of the best showcasing's of "realist" World Cup speeds I have ever seen! The shutter speed is perfect so the motion blur is great... The "standing further back, and zooming in" thing worked perfect when your leading the rider and the tree's and poles are shooting by in milliseconds it makes you realize what kind of speed these guy's and gal's are carrying down this trail! BRAVO! Excellent job!

Looks like Danny Hart has a point to prove to his soon to be former employers. In fact I'd say most riders will see they have a point to prove due to last week. Looking forward to seeing them all absolutely pinned this weekend.

the guy coming down at 5:50 ...was he running 29" rear and 27.5" front?
nah 29 front and back
@@Worry888 must have a much larger rear tyre on then...at a glance, the front wheel looks tiny in comparison!
also, if they were looking for stability, that wouldn't make sense either as you'd probably want a larger front tyre than the rear.
UNLESS he was running 27.5+ on the rear and had it running low pressure or something
