I feel like they should have taped it off so that riders could enter into the inside line where it was much safer...we all like a good show but they shouldn't be putting the riders at risk when there's a clear option for riders safety...

Hello i am not a downhillexpert and, can somebody tell me for what reason there are all this Whistles whistles ? Is it for time orientation for the riders ? A little hint would be great ! Thanks
Whistle means a rider coming through. It's a warning to anyone on the course to get clear. Marshals are usually placed within hearing distance of the previous marshal at various points, including crossings. Source: marshaling road events.

You're missing out, Vital MTB. ZERO footage from Ángel Suárez (#98, elite men), who surprised pretty much EVERYONE today and qualified NINTH. He was the guy that looked good for like 2 years, then signed for Gwin's team (YT, I think) and went to shit rather quickly.
there's only 1 awkward clip of loris too. riders often don't do a lot of runs and they're not always captured on camera. we're only allowed to film practice, not actual qualifiers (UCI rules). lawlor is the best in the game and def knows who angel is.
