    I’m staff adjuster with big R I love your videos. Thank you for help me learn. This video was wild it should be denied. If so I have a hard time explaining how to deny things to my insurance company. What should I say if I was in this position? Thanks

      Thanks for watching. I appreciate it.
      The easiest way to put it into your report, to state long-term damage, not related to a recent event. This is a good way to blanket deny this claim. The carrier knows this language in their policy, and typically this type of damage is not covered. We are not allowed as independence to give coverage decisions, only recommendations, or observations.

    So, was the roof just unrepaired for a year and they just had it repaired before you walked it? So, it's unroofed for a year and they don't expect damage? Wow.

    • @danieltheadjuster
      @danieltheadjuster  Před 8 měsíci

      Yes, unrepaired for a long time, until just recently repaired

  • @JRCoronado24

    So did you deny this claim daniel.? Didnt you estimate for those missing shingles at least?

    • @danieltheadjuster
      @danieltheadjuster  Před rokem

      I am documenting the claim for neglect and long-term damage. The carrier will probably not pay for anything on the interior. The claim was not opened for wind damage, it was opened for water damage. So I am not including the wind damage on the estimate. Basically, no estimate, just documentation. Most insurance carriers will deny this interior damage.

  • @botteddy5387
    @botteddy5387 Před rokem

    Would there be subrogation for the roofers who did the "repairs" since they messed up the shingles and that's where the leaks came from?

    • @danieltheadjuster
      @danieltheadjuster  Před rokem

      No, not at this time. I believe this might just be the insured's fault for not fixing the leak/wind damage when it first occurred. The damaged shingles from the repair, are just from hiring a poor quality roofer. The shingles were stuck down, and water was coming from the unrepaired roof damage before the roofer did the repair. The neighbor confirmed that the roof had not been repaired for some time.

    Why did you sketch it if you knew you would already not write an estimate? For me, i only will sketch if im writing an estimate. Thanks!!

    • @danieltheadjuster
      @danieltheadjuster  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Most carriers requires a sketch and documentation of where the damage was found. For future plans.

    • @danieltheadjuster
      @danieltheadjuster  Před 11 měsíci +1

      I use Dell Laptops. I find them very rugged, and I don’t have any software issues. I will not buy anything else. Typically I buy something that has an i7 processor or better.
      Xactimate it’s a very demanding program. Try to buy a good computer, around $1500. It will be well worth it.
      Are use a hub, and hook up a large monitor and separate mouse and keyboard.
      When a catastrophe occurs, and I have to go, I just unplug everything and go. It works out really nice.

    Hoping this isnt my insurance company paying for this. Inwould have denied the claim. Both fridge leaks tell me they shut power on and off and defrost drained into the floor. Just to me seems like neglect. Perhaps the damage happened before the roof repair and they walked away instead of doing wate mitigation?

    • @danieltheadjuster

      @@danieltheadjusterI appreciated all the labeling you did on the roof. I am not an adjuster yet. I am considering it. Very helpful video. Will you still be compensated for the adjustment or does insurance only pay if they pay?

    • @danieltheadjuster
      @danieltheadjuster  Před rokem

      @@keith2498 yes, I will get paid the minimum charge for the claim. It works out to be about $220-250 per claim, after the firm takes their 40%. Not too bad.

    • @danieltheadjuster
      @danieltheadjuster  Před rokem

      @@keith2498 it depends on the value of the claim. Higher the value of the estimate, the higher that I make. They realize it takes longer to write a big estimate. So they pay more.
