    I got my all lines adjuster license 3 years ago and never used it. I've kept it up but forgot everything I learned. These videos have helped a lot to refresh my memory. Thank you!

      @@ShineInsurance I have a full time job (been there 30 years) but would love to do it part time. Not sure if that would be an option. Either way, I want to keep up the license and continue to educate myself in the field.

    I Have 2 young adults that others who a different times and situations was involved in a non fault incident both cars been totaled ...they still are awaiting both from these people insurance companies who is prolonging to make sure that their properties and the stress for both has/is still on hold...their properties were used for their main support to be able to get around for work and personal family members..IT doesnt matter, the bottom line, is the delay and knowing the amount of time it takes ,even when you have been on a over 6months backed up trial date or when they agree to a pay for the total cars..they still wont have their or any transportation only a quick pay off not including the representatives who also needs to get paid , pluse for any injuries.
    or rehab

    Is it true that a burglar can sue my renter's insurance, or my landlord's homeowner insurance if he or she is injured? Wouldn't the act of a crime void their right to sue?
    I know a woman who was sued by a burglar who was bit by her dog when he climbed into the window of the home to steal her possessions. She called her insurance agent to file a claim for the broken window, and other damage, this is when she found out the burglar's attorney had contacted them about his medical bills, due to the dog bite.
    The burglar was bit by the dog while inside the home.
    Is this a rare case or not?
    I watch lots of videos of CZcams about people pranking the porch pirates, to get back at the porch pirates. I can understand the frustration behind it, but this opens the homeowners up to a liability suit if the porch pirate is injured, right? This could end up being a legal issue too if the porch pirate is injured by the homeowner's prank. Again, I understand the homeowner's frustration about the theft, but the law doesn't allow for the homeowner's vigilante-driven pranks.
    You said insurance companies have the right to settle on a liability claim.
    Does this encourage lawyers to sue, even if the case is weak or frivolous, because they know the insurance companies will settle after being worn down?

      Missi Reason, very thoughtful comment. You bring up an issue that’s part of the insurance-attorney underworld. Yes, there have been many cases where a burglar has turned around and hired an attorney to sue. Anyone is allowed to sue for basically anything. Where they win or not is a different question but the act of filing a lawsuit can be done under pretty broad reasoning. We don’t know of lawsuits around porch pirates but they’ve probably happened. Many insurance companies will fight especially if a suit is frivolous. But it is true that they settle quite often. What would be awesome is if there were laws defining the penalty to an attorney if a filed claim was deemed frivolous. Something to make attorneys think twice about the merit of their case.

      Caroline c, so sorry to hear that. What’s going on?

  • @familyresolultions1414

    Hello Shine, My question to you is how to locate any claims within the past has been filed for or about someone who maybe also had more filed more than one claims...I believe that this industry needs to have that type of data available with given proof that is involving public information or taking provision on many people who have or is being taking advantage of for any type of insurance claim.............

    Could my landlord claim for my thing that got damage could the insurance pay them for my thing if I didn't have rented insurance

    • @ShineInsurance
      @ShineInsurance  Před 4 lety

      Missy Beltran, renters insurance is the only coverage for your belongings. Your landlord’s policy doesn’t have any coverage for your stuff. That’s one reason a renters policy is super important.

    If we experience a liability claim, will our insurance company “ding” us or drop us? Or increase our monthly payments? Thanks

    • @ShineInsurance
      @ShineInsurance  Před 6 lety +2

      It's very likely that you will see an increase in premium after a liability claim. Some insurance companies may even drop you. The premium increase is because a claim changes your pricing tier and generally takes away the "claims free" discount.
      Getting dropped is super annoying. A company shouldn't do that after one claim but some do. Most companies decide based on what's called a "loss ratio". They compare what you've paid in to what has been paid out on your claims. For example, if you've paid $1000 in premium but they've paid $4000 in claims that would be a 400% loss ratio. Some companies cancel purely based on that. Others combine the loss ratio and amount of claims.
      Hope this helps.

    I have been trusting insurances because my youth friend became a salesman of them, and he is (was) a good man.
    If you make an other video, please speak normally, naturally. i am too damaged ? burnt out by many years abuse from various professional helpers and authorities, including my insurance company.I can't listen and understand fake advertising-style talk.(Aspergers too)
    I see others here seem to get, understand it ok..
