I haven't played Roblox much, but I remember years ago, the only scam I saw were fake robux generators which made you do some surveys for personal info
i played roblox for like a day. it was a very confusing and boring experience. i’m just too old for this game. if someone _did_ tried to scam me, i didn’t notice since my hearing and eye sight are not as good as they were when i was young and flourishing

That "test my game" hack is actually extremely dangerous. A friend of mine had that happen to them and he had to reinstall his entire PC because all his passwords and stuff got hacked. The rat actually sends your chrome password list and everything to the hacker and he had his crypto password and such locked up in a password manager too which apparently got hacked as well. He had to change passwords EVERYWHERE and his entire pc was compromised. It took him about a week before he was back and actually got his discord account back too.
Always game through a virtual machine.

I'm a lead engineer for a company I own that creates Roblox games, and I get these scams all of the time. Funny thing is that people from my *own* server try to give me these scams, and on top of that they ignore the fact that my bio says *programmer* and *Uni CS Student*.
The fake screenshot shows me pretending to be a... beginner graphic design artist.

Hey PYRO, roblox dev here. Its worse than you think, theres been people who send me fake dms of me saying slurs and what not (obviously its fake), and they then demand I join their discord server to "clear" my name.
Its obviously a scam, but the fact they go to this extent is really dark and disturbing. Honestly, I can easily see this causing PTSD to people who go through it.

Another scam on disc Is when someone messages u saying they got their friends to spam report you on steam and you are gonna get banned, so they recommend you to a steam "mod" on disc and they scam u from there
10:55 yes Discord can do that , a server i was in just for the meme section got nuked and i actually got a warning that i should look out for server i join etc or my account could risk being nuked too
As a scammer its usually for ingame items in game where stuff is tradeable or the big shots aka robux

When Pyro Talked about the scams where the message you it also happened to me, someone came into my dms saying that i was being acused of sending images to children (which i never done). I contacted my friend and he said it was a scam. If you see these types of messages PLEASE IGNOR THEM.
Tbh, people running discord scams are either children or predators; so it might be effective for their degenerate peers, but not for normal people who’re not a 4chan user with a burner Twitter acc…

Best rule of thumb is to instantly block any unknown users or numbers who’re “informing” you of something you have 0 recollection of. Just assume anything is a scam if you’re contacted suddenly; because if it’s not, then you’ll for one - not be questioning it, and two - hear it with context. Scams tend to make you feel guilty or uneasy, because that’s a tactic they use to manipulate people.
Also: if someone is continuously trying to reassure you that they are trying to help you or aren’t a scam, then they definitely are. Real support or real customer service don’t have that paranoia or insistence of scams.
Stay safe, and question this shit.
Them bringing in the "admin" is like when a kid asks about Santa Claus so the Dad half-asses a Santa suit and tries to surprise the kid.

The Roblox hackers aren't good, Roblox staff just doesn't care enough to implement any actual security. It's like saying "It's impressive this guy managed to get through my £30,000 security system!" when in fact, you didn't even arm it and all he did was walk through your open door.

I remember being in this clan named Survival Killer squad good times they had alot of adults and teens something you don't find in Roblox often.
Had an experience where I was in an emotionally vulnerable state and my friend texted me at the perfect time. I explained to them what was going on and their first response was lol and then they asked me to test their game. I almost fell for it untill I realized that this person would never be so insensitive and when the hell did they start developing games? So I started hurling insults at him and then he eventually just kept telling me to end myself. Took him a while to block me lol.

2:08 This exact thing happened to my friend and the dude was messaging me about a game he was making. Unfortunately for the hacker, I do actually game dev as a hobby so here I am, asking this guy questions. I knew he wasn't my friend from the first message because he doesn't open a conversation like that. It helps when you've known the person for so long that the way they say hello can give them away.
I’ve had two scams where someone was like “bro I accidentally reported you on steam and you need to contact this moderator”
Also there’s something weird to me when people talk about roblox being a game only little children play, which isn’t false, it’s just weird to me as someone who’s been playing for 10+ years and is on the slightly older side of the community

There's a scam on Roblox that allows someone to obtain your login information via sending the file for your uploaded clothing textures. They'll offer you Robux to "use it" and ask for the .RBX file or something. It's pretty sneaky, watch out
