    I was very surprised you didn’t blow off the wiper hood cowl of them leaves before you opened up the exhaust manifold. I would have been worried about stuff falling in lol. Great video and thanks for all your knowledge. You and DT Ron RIP have taught me a lot about working on my 6.0. Appreciate it

      I probably thought about blowing it off after I had stuff apart and opted not to by then. Thanks for watching and following

      Dnt get a 6.0 if ur on a bugdet bro i have a 04 6.0 and there so fun to drive but 7.3s r so reliable they dnt have enough power to screw up. the trans mission is a diff story. If i had to do it over i would of bought a 6.0 fpr like 7500 and put 12 in it and bullet proof it off the bat at reliable desiel shop

    Hello guys. I have a 2007 Ford F350 6.0. when I move up the mountain, antifreeze leaves through the expansion tank. I did a test for exhaust gases in antifreeze, the test showed that everything is fine, the liquid has not changed color. The engine oil is also good without foam, the level has not increased to the correct color. The smoke from the exhaust pipe is not white. I installed a new thermostat, but the antifreeze still leaves when the car goes uphill. Please tell me what this could be and how to fix it. I am in Idaho and I don't speak English very well and if you can answer please write me an SMS. Thank you very much.

    Great video! I have 2004 F350 Dually with 37k original miles on it. The drive train is 100% stock. No tuner was ever installed on it. I have no error codes or start up issues but driving highway speeds my ECT is 190 and my EOT is 230. I’m not looking for the cheap way, but the best way to get the oil temperature down. Can you advise me on what action to take with this situation? Thanks!

      I really really like the bullet proof diesel remote cooler. I like the idea of eliminating a internal cooler that can and will get clogged or contaminate your oil if it ruptured. If I were you I would do the bullet proof diesel cooler and go on and do their 100mm water pump and the 6.0 to 7.3 fan clutch adapter.

    whats the point of the oil cooler again? I completely forgot.

    • @AutomedicGarage
      @AutomedicGarage  Před 7 dny

      @@CA.papaBear cools the oil. It’s actually a heat sink but it brings the oil temps down.

    Great work! Does that factory oil filter have to be installed on the oil cooler plate? Or can it not be added on? I know you said it was useless now since it has a spin on oil filter

    • @AutomedicGarage
      @AutomedicGarage  Před rokem

      With that particular one yes, they make several different plates. The main reason the oil filter housing is still used is due to the fuel filter housing being integrated into it. Thanks for watching.

    What's the cost of having something like this done? Parts and labor.

    Why does he still need the sinter diesel coolant filter installed for?

    • @AutomedicGarage
      @AutomedicGarage  Před 2 lety +2

      The blocks are still known to possibly have sediment from casting in them left behind, it was on prior to the BPD external cooler install so I didn’t see a need to remove it. Doesn’t hurt to keep the coolant clean.

    • @AutomedicGarage
      @AutomedicGarage  Před rokem +3

      It’s amazing, Gary’s oil temps stay nice and cool regardless of ambient temp or working the truck. I love it cause of the cool temps and the fact that there’s no oil cooler inside the engine anymore to leak, rupture or stop up.

    Nice install video, having oil temp issues and thinking about going this route, as I’ve already stuck one cooler in. Do you think this is a permanent oil temp fix?

    • @AutomedicGarage
      @AutomedicGarage  Před 2 lety +6

      Gary’s oil temp is 10 degrees cooler driving with this setup. I’m very happy with it plus never have to worry about coolant in oil or oil in coolant ever.

    Im curious to find out how much the labor costs were for this install.

    • @AutomedicGarage
      @AutomedicGarage  Před 2 lety

      For a regular 6.0 oil cooler change out with flushing I charge $600 plus parts. For the BPD install it’s a little more labor intensive including evacuating the AC system and removing the condenser so I charge $1000 in labor.
