      Hola Milton, pues depente de lo que quieras.. quieres nuevo original o nuevo after market? O usado? Yo me fui por el camino de partes usadas pues es mas barato.. consegui alguien que vendia el turbo, manifold, pipas de agua y aceitey otras cosas que compre aparte en Linea y con eso la arme. Si conoces algun lugar que venda partes usadas puedes intentarle por ahi.. de un 2LT que vienen turbo de fabrica y eso le queda como
      Anillo al dedo.

    I have the 2.8 NA on my Hiace and am seriously thinking about turbo-ing it. Question: how much improvement do you see when keeping the boost to below 10psi ( i believe you said you set yours to 7)? The main reason I want to do it is to be able to climb hills better.Right now, I top out between 25 to 30mph on really steep hills at altitude

    • @cortransport
      @cortransport  Před rokem

      Hey Roy, thank you for stopping by. As for improvement; the turbo definitely helps the engine in performance.. i want to say a good 10-20% improvement at low boost. I never Dino mine before or after so I don’t have exact numbers.. however you can feel the improvement. Maybe you can tell us more when you climb those hills. Take care.

    Maybe some upgraded injectors, computer and tune. This has been two years. Hope it worked out for you

      So I found out These particular diésel engines don’t need upgrades injectors etc.. as it’s a mechanical engine. Turbo did help a lot tho! Thanks for stopping by.

    Hola compañero! Tengo un 2L en mi Toyota Hiace, básicamente un motor muy similar a 3L. Mi consulta es con respecto a la bomba diesel, ¿Tuviste que hacer algun ajuste en ella?

    • @cortransport
      @cortransport  Před 10 měsíci +1

      Hola qué tal,
      Fíjate que en cuanto ala bomba de diésel no le toque nada.. ya inject suficiente diésel para lo que la presión del turbo c20(original del 2l). Pero en algún caso que tengas que hacerlo es de moverle ala aguja de la bomba y listo.

    • @cortransport
      @cortransport  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi,
      No i didnt adjust the fuel pump. The original settings is enough fuel for a small turbo. More fuel means more heat more problems. I advice to keep factory settings.

    HI There, I was just wondering if you were able to succesfully put a turbo in your 3L engine? and i would like to know how it perfromed?, and is the additional cost of the turbo really worth it? thanks in advance ! God bless!

    • @cortransport
      @cortransport  Před 3 lety +4

      Hi,
      I did installed the turbo. It was journey but got it done. Check out other videos.
      Worth it? Every penny. As far as performance. Not much from what is expected. After all you can only use about 7-10 pounds of boost. So dont really get a whole lot of performance. My fuel milage did better; about a couple of miles more per gallon. Overboosting only damages engine.
      Over all i would do it again on another vehicle. Try to use used parts so it doesnt cost much. Its what i did. Happy boosting!

    • @oo7jbond
      @oo7jbond Před 3 lety

      @@cortransport Thank you for replying right away, appreciate it, i havbe a follow up question,
      You said not a lot of gain in terms of performance, how much better in terms of acceleration does it gain, and when you account for the cost of the turbo setup amounting roughly at least 1000-1500 US dollars, and when it needs replacing maybe you have to spend at least 1000 for the new parts, which by the way in my country, (Philippines) you can buy a 2nd hand engine 1kz 3.0 about a little over 2000 US , so do you still recommend the turbo upgrade, or just use the stock design because of small improvement?. thank you for your answer in advance God bless!

    • @cortransport
      @cortransport  Před 3 lety +1

      @@oo7jbond there is better acceleration performance but not a whole lot. I am gonna do a dyno on it soon to see how much extra power i am getting. Will let you know.
      If you can get a turbo engine i would do that instead of what i did. Those turbo engines come factory tuned. Its alot better than slapping a turbo ourselves.

      ale helguero hola,
      Pues fijate que no ay asi enlaces con partes individuales.. solo te venden todo el kit. Y si no podes econtrar partes usadas en tu pais si ay de estodos modelos. Las partes del 2LTE(2L turbo) le quedan al 3L. Y asi te sale mucho mas barato.
      Necesitarias:
      -Turbo CT20 con empaques y linea de aceite con el regreso al motor y lines de antifreeze. Porque lleva agua y aceite este turbo.
      -2Lte exahust manifold con empaque
      -CT20 turbo down pipe(el tubo que conecta del turbo al escape)
      -Escape(podes soldar el downpipe al escape existente, pero elimina el muffler.
      -fittings para conectar las lineas de aceite y el regreso al motor y para el antifreeze(agua).
      -pipa de 2 pulgadas para el aire que el turbo empuja asia adentro del motor(yo pipa de escape use).
      -tambien necesitas coples de hule para coneccions de aire.. de entrada al turbo y salida al motor.
      Todas estas partes las puedes encontrar donde venda partes para estos toyotas. En tu pais abundan. Suerte.. si necesitas ayuda me avisas.. lo importante es empezar 😅.

      Did you have to modify or do any adjustments to the stock pump..???

    • @cortransport
      @cortransport  Před 3 lety +1

      @@tanco2158 no modifications needed other than what needs to be done to get a turbo installed. As for the fuel pump; it already injects enough fuel.. all it needs is more air. Some people do set the pump for more fuel because of high turbo psi’s but if you are doing stock turbo set up you don’t need to mess with anything else.
