Y con ese carburador es confiable para salir al friwey o aser un biaje de unas dos oras pregunto por que yo tengo una teokita asi y el carburador vijo ese que tien como un sonbrero nomas ya no quiere arranca bien pero unas 5 millas enpiesa a tenblar demasiado y asta apagarse ya le canbie la ponpa de gas le canvie bujias cables de bujias filtro de aire sensor o2 bueno ya le e canbiado asta los parabrisas y nomas no quire y e pensado ponerle su carburador asi como ese pero no estoy seguro si bale la pena el gasto pues no se si es confiable para viajes de unas dos oras
Hola Durán, pues a mi me salió bien. Trate de ajustar el que tiene. Tal vez necesita más combustible, también revisé los cables de la bobina, oh coil le dicen. Suerte

It was just a little bit of fast speed fun then slow down.. the slower the better on gas.

Where did u buy your hilux from?
The 2 hoses to the left of the pressure sensor go to a box underneath the car underneath the spare tire jack compartment. What goes on in that box as it relates to p0440? Is the pressure sensor switch normally open and closes when sufficient vacuum doesn't exist due to leaks?

@@cortransport Aquí hay muchas toyotas, de hecho más baratas en algunos casos que allá en USA, la Hilux que quiero comprar es una del año 2000 y está aquí en 8000 USD, en buenas condiciones, solo que he tenido el dilema del turbo y no sé si sea bueno o qué, la utilizaré para trabajo y monteo.

Hey “.” No i didn’t tuned.. there is no much to tune.. maybe fuel pump however it already inyectes enough fuel for a low boost turbo.

Great 👍🏻 haven’t had any issues. I heard stories of engine failures after adding turbos; I guess it isn’t true for all Toyota engines 😅.

Que tal Fernando; Fíjate que hay anda la animalito todavía, el clutch cambie recientemente. De motor todo bien. No me a fallado. Con el turbo hay más desgaste según pero asta ahorita nada fuera de lo normal.
Best Hilux engine ever built even though it's slow and a bit noisy but it is 100 percent reliable than this Vigo and Revo model Hilux engine. The new Hilux are garbage with tons of problems.
My friend. After "examining" your video. You were at 90 mph when your RPM is at 1,900. You didn't even go past 2,000 RPM (as seen in your own video). You probably did went past 90 mph but I highly doubt you went past 90 mph by much as you didn't even reached 2,000 RPM (as seen in your own video).
not if you have a mechido engine friend, the Volkswagen constellation the 30 330 bitruck does 101mph at 2200 RPM
@@VitorTrucks you cannot really verify the 101 MPH speed though. Unless you use your GPS. In this day and age everybody have GPS on their phones...
Not sure what the speed was. However that is the top speed for a stock freightliner century with a fairly modified 3406 Cat engine. For faster speeds same engine with lower diffs will do it.
@@cortransport why not use a GPS to find out the top speed??? Rather than just "guessing" and "assuming"...
Top speed is what it shows on video. Don’t need to guess or assume.

I have the 2.8 NA on my Hiace and am seriously thinking about turbo-ing it. Question: how much improvement do you see when keeping the boost to below 10psi ( i believe you said you set yours to 7)? The main reason I want to do it is to be able to climb hills better.Right now, I top out between 25 to 30mph on really steep hills at altitude
Hey Roy, thank you for stopping by. As for improvement; the turbo definitely helps the engine in performance.. i want to say a good 10-20% improvement at low boost. I never Dino mine before or after so I don’t have exact numbers.. however you can feel the improvement. Maybe you can tell us more when you climb those hills. Take care.

Hi branden, Ebay is your best partner for older vehicles. Also your local auto part store will have the more common parts.. spark plugs things like that. Great buy those pick ups. I sold my pup to my nephew.. he is loving it.

My friend built one, standard engine 3L with large turbo (gtx35) and big intercooler, running 40psi boost, it was very fast, but you had to watch the egt guage very closely as it was ok when accelerating egt at 450., but when cruising on the freeway the guage would shoot up fast past 500 degrees celsius, had to run 4th gear to keep egt down. In 5th it went up too fast under cruising. Too much fuel for cruise driving when off boost. The engine already had 300,000km when boosted and lasted till 500,000 with the big turbo. It was still not blown up, but was due for rebuild, so he sold the vehicle and got a landcruiser
@@cortransport i dont think the pressure itself plays much of a part overall, gotta remember the explosion when te fuel ignites is far higher pressure than anything forced induction can provide, its just heat and timing management really that plays the biggest part
Yeah the heat plays the main role. I drive the hilux under 75mph because after 75 the temp goes up.. and it was after I turbo it and only set at 7psi 😅.

i used a smoke machine to find leaks on my 2002 replaced lines my gas tank a new charcoal can in the back by the tank vent and purge solenoid even the gas cap still had a light pop the p0440 code im gonna order a new tank pressure sensor see it that does the trick 🤞
That pressure sensor should do the trick.

If those engines get upgraded all around; trucks can go as fast as cars. Top out where your wallet tops out. The fastest I’ve seen on the internet had a jet engine on the back lol.

You are wrong sir. In the video he was going at least 90 mph which is 145 kph NOT 130 kph. He was still accelerating a bit even after he hit 90 mph because I can see his tachometer was still increasing a little bit even after his speedometer hit 90 mph. So he was going at least 90 mph or even bit more.

Nice LN107 ....clean outside and inside....here its not easy to find anymore...here is much LN106 compare to 107....with 3L engine,nothing to say,undestructable.......
What’s the difference between the ln and 106? It’s getting harder to find them indeed. When I travel to Central America these trucks are not so common as they used to be. These trucks are turning into gold 😬.
@@cortransport LN106 here use solid axle at the front,while LN107 use lower arm + drive shaft at the front....or IFS system...so which suspension system your LN107 used at the front,other than that,i think they share the same cabin and chasis....

Was he going down a hill or on flat road??? If he wasn't pulling the trailer. Most likely he would had went even faster. The 18 wheeler trailer itself weighs like 10,000 lb (empty) I think.

Hey! Great video! I have a strange question, on my 1994 LN107 2.8D Hilux, I dont have a check engine light (No check engine light illuminates when I turn the key to ingnition). I have had the dash out and put bulbs in all the slots, but still nothing. I think in the video I can see that you do not have a check engine light before start up either, is this normal? Do our models just not have a tradition check engine light? Thank you very much!!
These are some worrier trucks; we don’t need check engine lights 😅. These trucks are more mechanical than electric that’s why we don’t have a check engine light. No sensors to check before starting it.
