Why are they acting like Esme had a horrible childhood? Are they forgetting she was adopted by a wealthy family, had a nanny she was close to, went to bording school? Heather & Ryan didn't raise her. Cry me a river! I'll never sympathize with Esme.
I know the writers are trying to create drama, but Esme has really overstayed her welcome in Trina and Spencer's story, imo. It's been over a year and a half, and she's still getting in their way. I'm starting to get bored of it.

Like Trina said, just because she lost her memory doesn't mean she's automatically a good person now. She may not be faking but her true nature is showing through while Laura looks like an idiot falling all over herself to accommodate her. I really like the coupling of Trina and Spencer, so I'm really not here for Trina being put as 2nd fiddle everytime Esme uses her son to keep Laura, Spencer and Kevin in their place.
@Naria Menard I totally agree with your statement about Spencer and Trina.Their chemistry was so visible and undeniable from the verbal flirting to the penetrating stares,and finally that embrace which should have ended in a kiss.The Trina and Spencer scene at the elevator reminded me of JaSam, the smoldering looks and the perfect way Trina fits in Spencer's arms.

I said this a long time ago. If them being together would have caused her to come out of hiding. Maybe them being together will trigger her memories. She (Esmè)NEEDS to see them kiss! People that suffer memory loss need to be exposed to triggers after they are capable of handling them. Spencer got about 1 week left with me to get some BDE & set boundaries with Esme. There was no reason for her to be questioning what, where, with whom Spencer is with. I see how she left that door open like she was beckoning a dog to come inside. That girl hasn't changed one bit. She's only gotten more psychotic & manipulative. Same thing happened in the Jason Quartermaine and Keisha Ward storyline but only in reverse where Jason had no memory of his life with the Quartermaines and his relationship with Keisha. He really treated her horribly after his accident. This was just to get him together with boring ass Robin and then getting involved with Sonny and the mob. Right now the writers are making a fool of Trina, in my opinion. I wish these writers follow through on these interracial romances because I've yet to see one follow through on GH. The only one that I can think of is Jessica(B) and Duncan (W) on As the world turns "I'm aging myself "it was bold of move to have them have a full blown relationship and even getting married on TV even back in the late 80's early 90's it was a problem because they received blow backs because of the race issue. They even addressed the issue with one of the main characters who didn't like the fact that they were a couple. The person loved them individually but as couple she had a problem, using the same playbook as Well what about the kids they will have in the future? She did come around and they had a child however only to have the love of his life come "back from the dead" only to have them break up and he go back to her. I know it's soaps and popular couple break up all the time but it's particularly hard to see the character of the black one being pushed aside.
My family and I had absolutely loved them! I never knew how it ended I think I had stopped watching by then. Another interracial couple that seemed to do pretty well at first was Tom (W) and Symone (B) Hardy when they first arrived at GH. Unfortunately, the more popular he became as a character the more problems they began to have until their marriage ended. She left town and he ended up with Felicia. Now, The Young and The Restless seems to know how to do it right. They had a very successful couple in Lily (B) and Cane (W) who not only were married for many years but had twins and now or the last I saw she was with Billy and they seemed happy together last I saw. Even though OLTL didn't show it on the actual show Nora (W) Hanen Gannon Buchanan had been married to a Hank Gannon (B) and they had actually had a daughter together, Rachel. Nora's son with Bo Buchanan, Matthew had a baby with Destiny a black girl. They were in high school and after some trials and tribulations ended up together. Unfortunately, there are not too many success stories. Molly and TJ are only as successful as they are because they rarely showed them in a mainline story and now that they are cooking one up for them I am getting afraid. I hope they don't end up breaking this couple up. Fortunately, I see a long run for Spencer and Trina or at least until one of them decides to leave for good which I hope is no time soon. 🙂

As a mom I can kind of understand Laura's endless guilt leftover from not being able to raise Nicholas. It's like this ever present trauma motivates her into making decisions that stem from that motherly guilt. As a character it makes sense...it is her motivation....for always forgiving Nicholas, trying to guide him away from the Cassadine darkness by extending the motherly forgiveness. But I'm going to need her to snap out of it so she can see Esme is using that against her. Between Ryan and Heather's psycho pathology being passed down to Esme, she is also a natural manipulator. She knows how to use someone's emotional scars against them. From now on I'm going to call her Dark Sithme cause I agree with Trina...this version of Esme has the capability to be infinitely worse. I doubt that she's ever going to be a Britch....more like a Nelle 3.0 Hell she is going to be worse than Heather herself and that's saying sumin.

Truth is if she were white they wouldn't need a slow burn. They tried this sh*t on tv show Sleepy Hollow and crashed and burned in the season 3 finale. They used the two popular leads played by Tom Mison as Captain, Ichabod Crane, and Lt. Abbie Mills played by actress Nicole Beharie. Former fans of the show know them as Ichabbie. The writers of Sleepy Hollow took this same route, drawing in fans as they continued to hype up Ichabbie; by season three they were referring to them as a slow burn, but the truth was that Ichabbie had more than enough to have been a couple by season 3. Yet the writers felt the need to have written Tom Mison's character as having disappeared for nine months, causing an estrangement between himself and his partner he clearly loved but never stated out loud. As season 3 wore on the gorgeous,Lt. Mills now turned FBI agent was still single(and had been single since season one, but she had an entanglement with some guy at Quantico, which of course we never saw, but became familiar with once said person rolled into town in season 3 and became her new boss, Mr.Daniel Reynolds played by actor Lance Gross) The show decided to bring on another white character (female) to be what the writers referred to as a kindred spirit for Ichabod (that was a wtf) Didn't make since and definitely wasn't needed. To make a long story short, Ichabbie became nothing more than a dangling of the carrot; to reap the complete benefits of what Ichabbie drew in ratings wise, but the fan base which had already grown suspicious back in season 2 were even moreso the closer the show got to wrapping up it's third season. By then we see for the first time, Abbie have her first onscreen kiss, but it was with her FBI boss; pissing off the fandom. It was starting to become clear that the promise of Ichabbie had zero chance of coming to fruition, and boy were they/we were right. In a move that shocked the majority of fandom Abbie Mills was killed off in the season 3 finale. Fans were enraged and took to social media immediately calling for cancellation of the show. It went from #Ichabbie to #Cancel Sleepy Hollow in a matter of seconds. No one had ever seen a fan base react so swift. As it turned out, and what many had suspected early on back in season 2 was racism playing out both in front and behind the scenes; not to mention the 3 other black characters, 2 of which were gone before the end of season one and the other by mid season of the second season raised suspicions, as well as sidelining secondary black and poc characters such as Jenny Mills played by Lyndie Greenwood(who by the way, is biracial) Even the Abbie Mills character whose story was pivotal to the show was starting to get pushed to the side as the show seemed to focus more on the typical white male hero, his life's story and love interests. Just an all around slap in the fans faces as they all but made Nicole Beharie's character a mere footnote, and reducing her to her being nothing more than another black person/woman to help further along a white man. But fans got the last laugh and threw a social media party after season 4 crashed and burned due to dumpster fire ratings. That's right they not only got dragged the night of the season 3 finale, but it continued if and when the show got a season 4. Served the show right. They f*cked with the wrong fan base. They thought the white male lead could carry on the show, but failed to take note that what was the show, what drew in the fan base was their lightning in a bottle two leads. If GH isn't careful they'll be in the dumpster right along with them if they continue on with this same game💯

I don't know if I'm just being a pessimist, but something just didn't feel right with the way that Spencer was comparing Trina and Esme. I guess it was supposed to be romantic, but it came across to me like he was saying that Trina gives him what he wanted, but couldn't get from Esme. And why the ever-loving hell couldn't Spencer just tell Esme to mind her business when she came looking for him? There was no need to make an excuse for why Trina was still there, like it was Esme's house she was still loitering at. And, he could've waited until Trina's elevator doors closed before he started closing his own door. I was excited about the promo for the nurses ball, but idk something ain't moving right. It feels like Tabyana and Nicholas are hard-carrying this pairing with their chemistry because the writing ain't up to snuff right now with this musty-ass storyline.

I understand the need for conflict. But there must be a way for the writers to show it without sacrificing the strengths of some the characters like Spencer and Trina

I don't understand why it's been over a month now and the audience hasn't seen Sprina even talk about the kiss and what it meant or any other PDA, even just with each other. The whatever hug weeks after the kiss was meh at best, them not saying or doing anything when left alone at Sonny's after Joss and Cam left and even yesterday with no pda before or after Esme's interruption. I'm sorry but to go from everything building up to the kiss....then nothing but a few words and glances ...no discussion about their feelings AT ALL because they've only been talking about his family crap mostly or her family crap barely....to what? Waiting until the Nurse's Ball to them àpparently doing the deed? As much as I liked the clip and NACTABY's interview with TVLine, that's not going to cut it. To have them just leaving the parking lot via the Kiss and immediately graduating to the highway via sex is insulting of the pairing and their fans. That's not romance, that's like promising a full course luxury dinner but taking an extremely unnecessary scenic route to... Burger King. I'm sorry but I feel this couple has been through too much and gone through so much for one another to be given a quickie like treatment instead of truly writing them the true romance story they deserve. Waiting for May sweeps is ridiculous if they're still getting this kind of writing, their relationship never explored and enjoyed, just throwing out great breadcrumbs meant to placate the audience for the ratings and move plot...Esme and the baby everyone refuses to get a DNA test for, the Ice Princess thing which is directly tied to Victor, etc. Can't we get angst and love and adventure from what's created by Sprina instead of the outside influences, which mostly stem from Spencer's side of the fence?

@@kantopiasworld8427 thank you and I'm really hoping that someone in the writers room reads the room with social media in general regarding the lackluster, clumsy and weird writing for Sprina. We're invested in them and that's why we're concerned. They've been set apart as a supercouple and as far as angst, they've had it and continuing to have it in embarrassing large heaps. As far as romance, especially since the kiss.... it's been pretty anemic. And having them do the do the night of the nurse's ball does not cover over a few meaningful conversations that should have already happened by now, a date or two and some pda. Pda doesn't have to be extensive but something, hugs, handholds, kisses-yrs, plural and again, they don't have to be massive but like a peck on the cheek or forehead or heck, even kissing her hand. The romance of it all. I would rather they get a hotel room the night of the nurse's ball and instead just be up all night, laughing with each other, talking to each other, about anything but their families period, holding each other and kissing each other. That would be more appropriate to me and then during May Sweeps.... maybe circle back to them going the distance because emotional intimacy will have been built.

As I have always said, Laura is the same as Nikolas concerning Spencer, she says she is upset with her son but Nikolas learned all he knows and does from her, only she tries to camouflage her misdeeds, acting like a loving grandmother while not really caring at all about Spencer or Charlotte , what "grandma", other than Heather, would bring a known felon into her home, let her call the shots, and put her wants ahead of anyone else's, Esme is scheming and running the "mayor's mansion" now with Laura's blessings, she has no intention of going anywhere, why should she ????

He really treated her horribly after his accident. This was just to get him together with boring ass Robin and then getting involved with Sonny and the mob. Right now the writers are making a fool of Trina, in my opinion. I wish these writers follow through on these interracial romances because I've yet to see one follow through on GH. The only one that I can think of is Jessica(B) and Duncan (W) on As the world turns "I'm aging myself "it was bold of move to have them have a full blown relationship and even getting married on TV even back in the late 80's early 90's it was a problem because they received blow backs because of the race issue. They even addressed the issue with one of the main characters who didn't like the fact that they were a couple. The person loved them individually but as couple she had a problem, using the same playbook as Well what about the kids they will have in the future? She did come around and they had a child however only to have the love of his life come "back from the dead" only to have them break up and he go back to her. I know it's soaps and popular couple break up all the time but it's particularly hard to see the character of the black one being pushed aside.

My family and I had absolutely loved them! I never knew how it ended I think I had stopped watching by then. Another interracial couple that seemed to do pretty well at first was Tom (W) and Symone (B) Hardy when they first arrived at GH. Unfortunately, the more popular he became as a character the more problems they began to have until their marriage ended. She left town and he ended up with Felicia. Now, The Young and The Restless seems to know how to do it right. They had a very successful couple in Lily (B) and Cane (W) who not only were married for many years but had twins and now or the last I saw she was with Billy and they seemed happy together last I saw. Even though OLTL didn't show it on the actual show Nora (W) Hanen Gannon Buchanan had been married to a Hank Gannon (B) and they had actually had a daughter together, Rachel. Nora's son with Bo Buchanan, Matthew had a baby with Destiny a black girl. They were in high school and after some trials and tribulations ended up together. Unfortunately, there are not too many success stories. Molly and TJ are only as successful as they are because they rarely showed them in a mainline story and now that they are cooking one up for them I am getting afraid. I hope they don't end up breaking this couple up. Fortunately, I see a long run for Spencer and Trina or at least until one of them decides to leave for good which I hope is no time soon. 🙂

As a mom I can kind of understand Laura's endless guilt leftover from not being able to raise Nicholas. It's like this ever present trauma motivates her into making decisions that stem from that motherly guilt. As a character it makes sense...it is her motivation....for always forgiving Nicholas, trying to guide him away from the Cassadine darkness by extending the motherly forgiveness. But I'm going to need her to snap out of it so she can see Esme is using that against her.
Between Ryan and Heather's psycho pathology being passed down to Esme, she is also a natural manipulator. She knows how to use someone's emotional scars against them. From now on I'm going to call her Dark Sithme cause I agree with Trina...this version of Esme has the capability to be infinitely worse. I doubt that she's ever going to be a Britch....more like a Nelle 3.0

Truth is if she were white they wouldn't need a slow burn. They tried this sh*t on tv show Sleepy Hollow and crashed and burned in the season 3 finale. They used the two popular leads played by Tom Mison as Captain, Ichabod Crane, and Lt. Abbie Mills played by actress Nicole Beharie. Former fans of the show know them as Ichabbie. The writers of Sleepy Hollow took this same route, drawing in fans as they continued to hype up Ichabbie; by season three they were referring to them as a slow burn, but the truth was that Ichabbie had more than enough to have been a couple by season 3. Yet the writers felt the need to have written Tom Mison's character as having disappeared for nine months, causing an estrangement between himself and his partner he clearly loved but never stated out loud. As season 3 wore on the gorgeous,Lt. Mills now turned FBI agent was still single(and had been single since season one, but she had an entanglement with some guy at Quantico, which of course we never saw, but became familiar with once said person rolled into town in season 3 and became her new boss, Mr.Daniel Reynolds played by actor Lance Gross) The show decided to bring on another white character (female) to be what the writers referred to as a kindred spirit for Ichabod (that was a wtf) Didn't make since and definitely wasn't needed.
To make a long story short, Ichabbie became nothing more than a dangling of the carrot; to reap the complete benefits of what Ichabbie drew in ratings wise, but the fan base which had already grown suspicious back in season 2 were even moreso the closer the show got to wrapping up it's third season. By then we see for the first time, Abbie have her first onscreen kiss, but it was with her FBI boss; pissing off the fandom. It was starting to become clear that the promise of Ichabbie had zero chance of coming to fruition, and boy were they/we were right. In a move that shocked the majority of fandom Abbie Mills was killed off in the season 3 finale. Fans were enraged and took to social media immediately calling for cancellation of the show. It went from #Ichabbie to #Cancel Sleepy Hollow in a matter of seconds. No one had ever seen a fan base react so swift. As it turned out, and what many had suspected early on back in season 2 was racism playing out both in front and behind the scenes; not to mention the 3 other black characters, 2 of which were gone before the end of season one and the other by mid season of the second season raised suspicions, as well as sidelining secondary black and poc characters such as Jenny Mills played by Lyndie Greenwood(who by the way, is biracial) Even the Abbie Mills character whose story was pivotal to the show was starting to get pushed to the side as the show seemed to focus more on the typical white male hero, his life's story and love interests. Just an all around slap in the fans faces as they all but made Nicole Beharie's character a mere footnote, and reducing her to her being nothing more than another black person/woman to help further along a white man. But fans got the last laugh and threw a social media party after season 4 crashed and burned due to dumpster fire ratings. That's right they not only got dragged the night of the season 3 finale, but it continued if and when the show got a season 4. Served the show right. They f*cked with the wrong fan base. They thought the white male lead could carry on the show, but failed to take note that what was the show, what drew in the fan base was their lightning in a bottle two leads. If GH isn't careful they'll be in the dumpster right along with them if they continue on with this same game💯

Tom Mison and Nicole Beharie had insane chemistry and the show didn't just squander it, they did squandered it on purpose. That show had a significant following, particularly from melanated women many of whom shipped Ichabbie but were huge fans of Nicole. Let's hope GH doesn't make the same mistake, because if do, social media will explode, they'll get dragged and they'll be another cancellation hashtag 💯

I don't know if I'm just being a pessimist, but something just didn't feel right with the way that Spencer was comparing Trina and Esme. I guess it was supposed to be romantic, but it came across to me like he was saying that Trina gives him what he wanted, but couldn't get from Esme.

I don't understand why it's been over a month now and the audience hasn't seen Sprina even talk about the kiss and what it meant or any other PDA, even just with each other. We're invested in them and that's why we're concerned. They've been set apart as a supercouple and as far as angst, they've had it and continuing to have it in embarrassing large heaps. As far as romance, especially since the kiss.... it's been pretty anemic. And having them do the do the night of the nurse's ball does not cover over a few meaningful conversations that should have already happened by now, a date or two and some pda. Pda doesn't have to be extensive but something, hugs, handholds, kisses-yrs, plural and again, they don't have to be massive but like a peck on the cheek or forehead or heck, even kissing her hand. The romance of it all. I would rather they get a hotel room the night of the nurse's ball and instead just be up all night, laughing with each other, talking to each other, about anything but their families period, holding each other and kissing each other. That would be more appropriate to me and then during May Sweeps.... maybe circle back to them going the distance because emotional intimacy will have been built.
