As far as I am concerned, once we promoted Arteta from head coach to manager IN THE MIDDLE OF A TRANSFER WINDOW (just two days after we signed Willian, to be precise 🙃) I understood that Kia (who also had and probably still has Edu's ears at his disposal) is 100% the way Simon Jordan described him in this video.
Promoting your head coach as manager means the now manager has the final say over transfers over the sporting director and the technical director.
Promoting Arteta as manager has been the most important move the Kroenke's have done since 2018.

Steve Walsh and the DOF/Manager confusion has messed it all up.
Yep Steve Walsh is the villain. 3 number 10s 1 was a romantic old boy (who to be fair did ok and was likely bought home so he could retire and become a EFC striker coach) 2 a Dutch guy who'd stormed the CL with Ajax (and the only 1 of the 3 koeman wanted) but as is typical of Dutch players the last 20 years, flopped in the EPL and then a Icelandic captain who's name shall never be uttered again. (who had moments of brilliance but not often enough for the money) and the biggest failure was selling Lukaku (though Koeman did convince him to stay the first summer he was boss and that was his best turn as manager of us) and never replacing him (and no Richarlison doesn't count as he was a left winger when we signed him a couple of years later)
Koeman could of been ok if he didn't have a maniac DOF believing his own hype. That's definitely the era where we should have all realised we were on a dangerous roller coaster and should not be blind sided by a billionaire owner. Which most of us were.

Kia is more slippery than an eel. He played into Evertonian hubris by offering them Ancellotti. Every fan at every other club raised eyebrows when that deal was done. He brought in Rodriguez ffs, who had time to make a cup of tea on the pitch for the amount of running he did. And Ancellotti was gone the moment ANY top club came calling. It just happened to be RM. So he can spare us his sanctimonious BS. It was a terrible fit for the club and he knew it. But he got his fee and that’s what mattered.
is that really his fault though? he can't force clubs to take his players or managers, all he can do is recommend them. Surely its up to the club to do their due diligence. Otherwise any snake oil salesman can pull their pants down.

Ralph hasenhuttl would be a very good fit for Everton imo he did it at leipzig did it at Southampton for a few seasons with very little money and he plays a decent brand of football which is what Everton fans want to see they need an identity and I think Ralph would give them that.
