    Is this new format interesting at all ?

    • @cbschrader

      It is interesting to me. Serious question - why are there some people out there that are going so slow? Do they just pay to go around the track just to say they did it or something? Or are they testing stuff on the cars they are driving? I've never been on a track and I always wonder why there are people flying like you and then others that seem to be casually going around the track. Thanks.

      Everybody can if they pay(about 10€ a lap,maybe it's more now)no matter how fast or slow they drive. That's why you have situations like that. people with children,etc. Think of all people in all kinds of situations that want to experience the Ring.They have trackdays for all kinds of classes like all tracks and then you don't have those situations but that is expensive. @@cbschrader

      Yes,it gives a much better impression of the speed like this. Dashcams,etc often miss that.

      Nice cam and nice driving!, but it would be more interesting if you included transitions between different cameras and not the same one all the time. It's just a suggestion.

      It's really cool! Cranked it up to 4K and full screen on the XDR - was almost like being behind the wheel. 😎
      I do like some of the mini-windows in your previous videos, but this almost encompasses all of them (feet missing, but maybe not 100% important).
      Having driven there in my 595 Comp, but not yet in it's GR Yaris replacement, I'm guessing I'd be happy to drive your time * 3. Or 4. 😅
      What cam did you use?

    Wow! How is the oil consumption at these high revs all the time?

    • @GreatMotors

      Perfect. I change the oil every year but never noticed it going down on the dip stick.

      Nop. Stock intake. I think it's just the empty interior in the back. You hear a lot of air rushing through the exhaust😊

    Some of the curbing on the new parts of the track look quit extreme, if you hit one of them going wide I do not think the car will be coming back in one peace?

    • @GreatMotors
      @GreatMotors  Před 2 měsíci

      This is still last year. The Nordschleife has very high kerbs overall. I strongly recommend knowing the track and the different areas before going for a kerb.
      The "problem" for the 2024 version of the track is that one of the kerbs that was easy to take, at the top of the foxhole, was renovated. The new kerb is like 2x as tall and can easily badly damage a car if taken at speed. Think damaged oil pans or blocks, broken or bent wheels, damaged shock or suspension arms, etc

      The black wagon was on the wrong side, on the left and was indicating left. He should have moved to the right and indicated right like everyone else. Creating confusion like this causes accidents.

    • @GreatMotors
      @GreatMotors  Před 7 měsíci +8

      If you go somewhere the minimum is to read the rules. It is clear as water. Stay RIGHT.
      I had to overtake on the right and violate the rules myself. Were there an accident it would have been my fault. People like this should just stay home.
      It's not about calming down, it's about being aware where you are, and to follow the rules. People like this will also overtake under yellows or god knows what.

    1:40 Everyone has to learn. Are you like this with learner drivers on the public road? Your Latin temperament doesn't help anyone.

    • @GreatMotors
      @GreatMotors  Před 7 měsíci +5

      Learner drivers hopefully don't drive on a closed circuit where significant speed differences between themselves and other cars are to be expected. Furthermore, learner drivers drive with an instructor. Likewise they do an exam, and are mandated to follow the rules of the road. I am sure this person 1) was not driving with an instructor, 2) did not take the time to read the rules of the event they were partaking on. My temperament is a sign of frustration, deal with it.
