Mariah Carey - Heartbreaker / "If You Should Ever Be Lonely" (Junior's Heartbreaker Club Mix
there was also a Holiday version she put out and it has more of a Christmasy sound
Children of the night by Richard marx
Her comfort zone album was the best album of her career after losing the miss america crown in 1984 she truly rose like a pheonix out of the ashes so lucky to grow up with this song
Yes it was!
Gorgeous song! A real classic from Vanessa Williams.
Natural beauty and classic song 👍🏼
Our music back in those days was just so much happier, peaceful, and loving
Colors of the Wind is a good one from her. From the Pocahontas soundtrack.
I met Vanessa in person after she won the Miss America title ; and she went on to a stellar singing and acting career. Beautiful song from a gorgeous woman inside and out! Always enjoy your reactions as well.😊
She WAS and IS THE Miss America!!! Her rendition of "Happy Days Are Here Again" that she did in the 1984 Miss America Pageant (she was Miss New York) is something you need to hear as that was LIVE!!! She proved then that not only was she drop dead gorgeous BUT had the pipes.
This was her biggest hit on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart, going all the way to #1 in 1992 & staying there for 5 consecutive weeks.
Very beautiful song, a classic. My heart just smiles when I'm listening to this song. Very nice request Eric Ross❤❤
Such a classic! Great request earlier with the Temptations!
@@e-ross5893 Thanks
90's r n b was so good
Vanessa Williams fierce Queen actress model singer and natural Beauty
I am always shocked when people tell me that they didn't know she was a singer. They always thought she was an actress. I'm like Vanessa Williams is a triple threat. She Dances, Sings, and Acts. I'm glad that Miss America finally found the courage to apologize to her publicly for how they treated her during and after the Miss America scandal. Success is truly the best revenge. I've been a fan of Ms. Vanessa Williams since day one... Right Stuff!
This is an incredible artist. Her albums are great. Get another side of her with the song, The Comfort Zone. The song is sizzling hot 🔥🔥🔥.
This is why I love your reactions man. You are legit! This was her sound. The music and her voice was full and lush and meant to make you feel it, and you did. Only a person who really appreciates MUSIC gets that. I hope you do react to more of her. Specifically from her "Comfort Zone" album.
Vanessa williams-work to do, just for tonight, running back to you, and still in love
Vanessa Williams to me is legendary! Her life is so inspirational! She got knocked down but she did not stay down! She rose and conquered! I so love this song, one of my top 5 favorites of all times. Color of the Wind is another top 5 favorite of mine! I love Vanessa and her music! Not to mention, she is one of the top 5 beautiful women ever if not the most beautiful woman ever! What makes her more beautiful is how humble, elegant, and gracious she is! 🙏💐❤👏👏👏
Major early 90s hit, tons of radio play.
One of my favorites. Her other song sweetest days and colors of the wind are also beautiful like this one.
“Love Is” by her is a good one too.
great voice and stunningly beautiful.
🎶She’s such a great vocalist!!🎶
She was such a beautiful woman! Was the first African American woman to win miss America but I think was removed because she was in penthouse!
This such a nice song ..brings back memories ❤😏
I think this was on of all things the "Beverly Hills 90210" TV series soundtrack. I'd also recommend listening to Vanessa Williams and Brian McKnight's duet "Love Is" as well.
Yes that's a nice one for him to react to. The years go by too fast. I had her 1st 2 albums and as long ago as that was, I remember how great they were. One thing about Vanessa I never had to fast forward or rewind to a good song. Sides 1 and 2 were all great songs. Idk what was going on with me back then as to why I didn't get her 3rd album
Great Song and absolutely stunning woman!
My favourite Vanessa Williams song ! I’ve loved this song since I was a kid. 👏🏾
Me too. I was like 10. I feel old lol
Oh I remember this song when I was little.
Vanessa is a legend! She's done so much! Singing on the biggest stages, acting in movies and TV (Ugly Betty was one of my favorites), singing with big bands backing her, modeling, and more! My favorite songs of hers are "Colors of the Wind" from "Pocahontas" and one of early hits "The Right Stuff". You should listen to them back to back and compare, but both are awesome! I also, agree that the album "The Comfort Zone" is my favorite and check out her Christmas music too, it's some of her best work!
She is amazing as usual .
She was Miss America . Such a beautiful woman.
Gosh, this song was so huge when it came out.
I just checked and Jack this is your first reaction to VW. I know this is her signature song and “Colours of the Wind” was huge for her as well but with the utmost respect, I prefer Vanessa’s R&B tunes. “Work To Do”, “Dreamin” and “The Way That You Love” (album version), for starters. ✌🏽
Nice. People usually only think of the hits when thinking about Vanessa Williams. Here are other overlooked tracks from her you may consider reacting to:
The Comfort Zone
Surrender
You Gotta Go
You Can't Run
Just For Tonight
This is my favorite song from Vanessa. She is so inspiring -- the Moral Majority / "Christian" conservatives tried to destroy her and got her Miss America crown snatched away and all she did was respond with a lifetime of class and grace and beauty and wonderful music.
"Where Do We Go From Here" from the movie Eraser and "Dreamin" are also favourites.
This was a great song that also was a hit record a rare combination nowadays
Love this! It played at the end of the film Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.
This is one of my all-time favorite Vanessa Williams songs. You should also check out and do a reaction on the popular NYC-based Neo-Soul duo LION BABE featuring Vanessa William's daughter Jillian Hervey (singer) and Lucas Goodman (producer). "Treat Me Like Fire" and "Jump Hi" are just two of their popular hits.❤
This is her biggest hit and only song that hit #1 on the billboard hot 100 charts you should react to her song the comfort zone which is off the same album as this song the comfort zone (1991)
Thank you Eric Ross for the request!!!
You're welcome brother! Love the channel!
Great request and reaction! Vanessa Williams is a beautiful and wonderful singer! Her vocals are impeccable! Saw her in concert a few years ago and had a front row seat to a beautiful and wonderful performance. She sings with such grace and poise. It was an amazing performance!
This song is very nostalgic for me, I remember my mom playing this song when I was a little kid around the Christmas time
Her talent is astronomical. Her beauty was absolutely unbelievable but those pipes...heavenly!💜🥂
Jon Secada- Just another day!! He was Gloria Etefans back-up singer until he came out with his own music.
Love love love this song!!❤❤❤ Great message….don’t miss what is right in front of you!
you just dont see people embracing natural beauty like this anymore. and of course the song is amazing
YES. Very nice song. Vanessa did great with this song. Love the review also. 🎉❤❤❤
FYI the demo tape for this song was sent to Diana Ross Barbara Striesand & Bette Midler Vanessa team jumped at recording this song they knew it would be a HIT
one of my favorite love songs ever.. ❤️ this was part of the soundtrack The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert starring Hugo Weaving, Guy Pearce..
One of my all time favorites. It got a ton of play back in the 90s, while I was in middle school. I’ve loved it since. And Vanessa Williams is easily one of the most stunning looking women ever. So glad you reacted to this one bro.
This song is played in the closing credits of Priscilla Queen of The Desert.
I love this song so much. Memories of my pedant 14-old days: when I heard the first line “sometimes the snow counts down in June” I said something like, “Yeah, we call that Australia.” 😂 My mom was ready to shake me 😆😆
Yes, this song was on The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the desert Soundtrack
Wow this sounds so beautiful I love it already amazing request ever it's so smooth too love her voice much love 💜💜💜😊
My fave VW song!
This song and visual has always reminded me of a Hallmark card brought to life 🥹 Simply Beautiful.
A true classic. ❤
Never gets old.
Her version of Colors of the Wind is fantastic.
Of course keep on looking into Vanessa Williams, she's got amazing songs.
But may I recommend her stunning daughter Jillian Hervey (her vocals are bright, sultry and have a quality similar to Erykah Badu) & her band Lion Babe?
A lot of their music/videos is criminally underrated, but some good ones to start with are "Impossible", "Jump Hi", "Wonder Woman" and "Western World".
Gorgeous ballad from Vanessa, and more than deserved 5 weeks on the top of Billboard’s Hot 100. It was released on the Pricilla The queen of the desert soundtrack, but it wasn’t recorded for it, but added to it a couple of years after. Still on my playlist nowadays. ❤
Gorgeous song, and she's still gorgeous today 😍 if you wanna see a more sensual side to her I'd recommend "Comfort Zone". One of her best songs. 💖
the beauty in the music video makes me cry
This is off her 1991 comfort zone album
it topped the charts
I remember this song from my childhood 🥲️ I'm not sure if this was on a soundtrack, but I remember hearing it in a commercial.. VERY VERY beautiful💖
Dang - - he got Shooked !
Vanessa Williams is really underrated. Great voice but she came out during a time with tough vocal competition. Still, beautiful voice and great stage presence. And very classy lol. If you want something with a similar vibe, look into “Again” - Janet Jackson. Think they came out the same year.
This is my songggg and yes that orchestra on the instrument 🎻 beautiful song one of my favorite songs can you react to her other song, “Dreamin”
❤❤❤
She won Miss America in the mid 80s,facts...
I remember I chose this song to perform in one of my classes back in high school...Lord knows how I sounded because I basically spent my time with my face in the lyric sheets to avoid people staring lmao. One of her best IMO. "Save the Best for Last" is the third single from Vanessa's second album, The Comfort Zone (1991); it topped the Hot 100 for five weeks, ASCAP named it Song of the Year, and it was nominated for three Grammys (Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance). Please react to Vanessa Williams & Brian McKnight - "Love Is."
Vanessa Williams is just flawless!
I love this song and music video. She’s such a beautiful person. Maybe you can reacts to colors or the wind or the sweetest days from Vanessa Williams ❤
Wasn't written or produced for a movie, but I'm sure it's been used in a movie or two after thirty-something years. But you're on the right track with the "cinematic" remark. Vanessa L. Williams is an accomplished actor in her own right. She's done movies and television, but she's probably best known as an actor on the show "Ugly Betty," as the main antagonist.
Song wasn’t in a movie but was on her “comfort Zone” album. She’s a stellar actress too. And your vision of her singing ballads in front of huge crowds In beautiful gowns is 100% accurate. She’s a timeless classic Beauty. 😊
Masterpieces by Vanessa Williams:
1. Where do we go from here
2. Sweetest Days
3. Colors of the Wind
4. Oh how the years go by
Vanessa Williams - Love is ft. Brian McKnight
Vanessa Williams - The Sweetest Days
Vanessa Williams - Long way home
Vanessa Williams - Oh How the years go by
Vanessa Williams - Colors of the Wind
Vanessa Williams - Just Friends
Vanessa Williams - Dreamin
Vanessa Williams - Comfort Zone
Vanessa Williams - Where do we go from here
This is a song about Jesus ! Jesus first miracle ! Bible reference! Which is why this song has such spiritual significance- it’s about Jesus turning water into wine (the best for last ) to save us from shame and his promise of the New Covenant and promise of a new day to come upon Jesus’ return! We have been transformed into the New Jews and given the title of his chosen ones !
Nope, not in a movie, but it did top the charts Winter / Spring ‘92.
The adventures of priscilla, queen of the desert soundtrack, Last song of the movie
🤩🤩😍😍🥰🥰🥰🥰
Jack react to another Vanessa Williams song you will probably like even more than this one called.....
Love Is.
💗
This was her biggest hit and a great song . But my favorite from VW was a song called " Comfort Zone ". It has a Jazzy New Jack Swing vibe. here's a link to the video czcams.com/video/NByBW3tId0I/video.html
Please react to Al Jarreau, “wait for Magic”, great instrumentation, with the best legends of musicians. It is a beautiful track, you would love it, do the live performance.
Check out "Running back to you" by Vanessa Williams, it's 🔥
This song was not from a soundtrack. It originally appeared on her “comfort zone” album which came out in the fall of 1991.
The adventures of priscilla, queen of the desert soundtrack
@@joeblakes6442 yes the song was used on that soundtrack but it originally was not intended for a movie. It did not appear on the soundtrack until 1994, 3 years later after the song came out.
@@cathedral94 Still on a soundtrack though
@@joeblakes6442 it was never written, recorded or produced for a movie regardless of it appearing on 500+ soundtracks.
@@cathedral94 He asked if he heard it on a movie, Not if it was recorded, produced for a movie. I simply said yes it was on a movie. Wow 500+ soundtracks, Thanks for the info
If you want to do a song by Vanessa from a movie, do "What Will I Tell My Heart" which is a cover of a jazz standard that she recorded for a movie she was in, Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man. It's a terrible movie, but a beautiful song.
Can you react to Mariah Carey - Heartbreaker / "If You Should Ever Be Lonely" (Junior's Heartbreaker Club Mix? It's about 10 minutes long though but super amazing!
Or Val Young’s original version of IYSEBL. ✌🏽
Hello Jack. Please react to the Vanessa Williams song/video "Just For Tonight". Thank You.
☃ 🎄
Hey Jack, Did you ever react Lay with you by El Debarge and Faith Evans?
