  • In this video I build a diy rotation unit for my Ortur Laser Master 3. The laser rotation unit is 3D printed. The unit is controlled by Lightburn. This is used instead of the Y-axis. The rotation unit is a wonderful extension of a desktop laser. It can be used to engrave glasses, Christmas balls, flower pots and much more. Building a rotation unit yourself is a cheap alternative to purchased units.
    You can download all parts that are needed. You will get all .stl files, parts list and assembly drawings of each assembly.

    I bought the plans and made the main rotary part. It works well. I made it 44.7mm shorter so it fits on the bed of and ender 3. I wish the screws on the rollers were recessed so the screw head did not stick out.
    I also printed bands for the rollers made from TPU.

    Nice work. May I suggest that you will build basic mechanical components like 3D printed: Servo Valves, Pneumatic Cylinders, ordinary On-Off Valves, Thanks.

      I have also had this thought before. In my job I have to deal with valves and cylinders every day.

    Hey, vielen Dank, echt klasse! Bin bei dem Thema ein echter Anfänger. Wie hast du die Zahnriemen verbunden? Sind die einfach geklebt? Und welche größe Schrauben und Muttern muss ich besorgen? Finde das nicht auf der Parts-Liste.

      nur weiß ich die Länge jetzt nicht da ich gerade auf Urlaub bin und meinen Computer nicht dabei habe. Bezüglich der Schrauben müsste ich mir auch das 3D Modell ansehen. Ich werde in ein paar Tagen die Dinge checken und dir schreiben.

      I think so. If you have the possibility to connect a rotation unit, it should work.
