Jack, No Man's Sky was updated with MASSIVE free add-on called "Atlas Rises". It adds 30 hours of story campaign, tons of quests, very in-depth trading and combat, completely remade planet generation, new types of planets, multiplayer, completely overhauled graphics, crashed freighters, and so much more. There's also base building (a lot like Subnautica's building system) and land vehicles.
The game went from "Mostly Negative" to "Mostly Positive" on Steam in less than a week as a result of the new update. It truly changes the entire game! It's so much better now! Please make at least one more episode that tries out the new campaign!

It's so crazy. I've been playing this game on and off since the 2016 release.. to see how far it has come from these beginnings! It's a totally different game now. I'm laughing and dying a little inside simultaneously 🤣.
Its kind of heartbreaking to have seen how my favorite "let's play" creators dropped this title after one video. DEFINITELY understand though.
The worst part is the excitement in your voice here is genuine and your expression, wide eyed and playful with a hunger for exploration. We were all fooled. I felt maybe embarrassed? Alongside you? As a victim of the hype trap as well, I suppose.
But I never stopped playing it. I don't expect to see another video of this game from you, Jack. I think you should try it one more time and maybe revisit the wonder that brought you to it originally.

People could make these gigantic storylines either by themselves or with their friends, and if its an ever ending universe the possibilities for what can be done are endless. choochienah Most critics had a mixed/badish rating because of many little reasons. The buggyness and crashes by side. They are talking about a limitied inventory and a lack of "real" progress.You can no track your way through the galaxy so most planets are a one way trip without any chance to find them again.Also, there is no map and the navigation. Even after playing it for so many hours they did not found any kind of amazing wildlife and the aspect of surviving seems way toooo ez.They played the game for many hours and yet they report only a few amazing encounters along the storyline. This game is more like a relaxing space trip. And that is disappointing in my opinion. They had the chance to set a milestone in gaming history. And they failed
