Love this song but I wish the recording had this much bass in it, you did an amazing job and it really does seem like exactly what geddy would have played
you are amazing man. Doing Geddy credit and making him proud for sure if he ever sees this. love you that you pluck so hard just like him. Absolutely amazing.
Wow! Joe you have demonstrated very well developed technical skills. In other words, you nailed it! Also, I compliment the high resolution of your video.
So is this THIS over-the-top loud because you are a bass player demonstrating the bass lines? Great tone. Fluid chops. Relaxed pocket. But would Ged ever put his bass so loud in the mix that it would destroy all of the other instruments and dynamics? - no. I'm sorry I'm one critic in an avalanche of admirers. If I wanted to learn this song, this is a really great video. But for musical entertainment, I found it quite distracting. I am a Rush fan because of their reverence to dynamics, and their control of very loud and distorted instruments. : shrug :
@@benheninger Hi Ben. Welcome to the party. A year late. You're obviously on the slow side, and heck, if you're as old and grizzled as that profile pic, you have good reason to be so! Just in case, I'm going to type this very slow so you can follow along! Look, I do understand you Lawrence Welk generation don't really get Rush fans... you're not expected to! I have to LOL that somehow a Rush-related video even ended up in your YT suggestions! (btw, 'YT' is short for CZcams, k?). As to the question you posed, all I can say is, I did in fact give props everywhere I found appropriate. I found one issue that was distracting to ME, and I'm very sorry that has so triggered your geriatric ass THAT much. It wasn't that big of a deal... Who knows... you probably just sauntered into some video you wouldn't normally be watching, all tanked up on some warm milk, and here we are. I doubt you have anything relevant to further add to this, but also just in case, I'll come back in a year to check if you responded. Please walk slow and drink lots of water! We want you here on Earth as long as possible! Take care!
Dude. Absolutely spectacular! Right hand technique for days. I love this song and this bass line.
My all-time song by my all-time favorite band. Instantly subscribed. Thank you Joe!

Seriously?
It’s this loud so you can clearly hear the cover track’s contrast from the original.
well...yeah? This is how literally all bass covers on YT work - you raise the bass in the mix so you can distinguish the new bass from the original.
Are all rush fans as annoying as you are?
