This is my fav cover of Give it away! Im very new playing bass, and when I play with my fingers, the sound is very (veeeery) low and soft. Any tip for achieving that awesome tone you have? How do you pluck the strings?

I love all the extra bass work you fit in while not playing the keys like Geddy has to do live. I sounds very right the way you are doing it as bass only.

Tips on learning to play as a beginner?
Start with something easy! I first learned by just playing along with some AC/DC albums. Most songs are like 1 or 2 notes on bass so it was a really simple way for me to train my ear and improve my timing a bit. A bit after that I discovered Rush, which is quite a bit more challenging, but I think the first song I learned was New World Man.
And for crying out loud ; YOU MAKE IT LOOK SO EASY !!!!

I love the Rush! "Quadbass Purple" is so slick, but if a "Colour Wheel" was added I wouldn't protest. 💛 I have an affinity for a certain colour... Much love.
I was actually thinking about implementing a color palate change in QuadBass Lite, based on the amp mode. But it was a little too complicated and time intensive for me to get done in time for a timely release. Maybe in the future though!

You could also speak about the quadbass plugin settings that you used to dial in a tone from the same year / era as the song you cover. For any other ideas, I'll just refer back to Rick Beato's "Stairway To Heaven - In A Parallel Universe with EVH (Featuring Eric Johnson)" video.
