    Your videos are a lifesaver. I’ve swapped several transmissions in a 2004 Toyota Sienna but never have I attempted a complete rebuild. Currently I am working to fix my father-in-laws 2017 Grand Caravan which was slipping uphill and stalling at a stop. Definitely getting a new TCC valve as well as clutch packs, some replacement bushings and of course all new seals and gaskets. Thank you!

    So not only does Gary upload great instructionals but he doesn't even monetize them. Although I wouldn't mind watching a few ads to support the channel.

    Hi Gary, I changed the solenoid pack cause it was not shifting the computer said it was in limp mode stuck in third gear. The first time it said it had to much pressure for two long, does that mean i need to change the pressure sensor.

    What would you recommend to use as a trans parts cleaner? Possibly mineral spirits? Also, 2011 62te w/125,000 mi. Never slipped, everything looks great-frictions, steels etc. limp home when shifting from 1st to 2nd? Fluid dark red but not burnt.Even the lands on the old style drum show no wear! Low clutch piston bonded seal was torn. Also need to change overdrive clutch hub bearing. What would you do on this transmission? New torque? frictions? Replace all bonded pistons? Banner kit or just overhaul kit?

    • @GaryFerraro
      @GaryFerraro  Před 4 lety +1

      I always go with a Banner kit with pistons. Converter and update the low drum, and electronics too. Mineral spirits is good for cleaning. Rebuilt converter too

    Mr. Ferraro, Despite having a perfectly good 62te in my van, I am really enjoying your rebuild content. Quick question, given I am already pulling the engine, would replacing the torque converter with a mopar rebuilt unit, along with a fluids and filter change, be good preventative maintenance for a 200 thousand mile 62te? Aside from an occasional hard 2-3 shift, the transmission works perfectly. I have no proof that the transmission fluid was ever changed, however do believe that a majority of miles were highway. Thanks for the awesome content!
