The Perfect RACING SIM Setup for Car Enthusiasts!! | Full Build & Review

- LET'S RACE! in today's video, we're teaming up with Moza Racing and GT Omega to build a FULL Racing Sim Setup! Complete with a modular cockpit, direct drive wheelbase, racing seat, and more! The perfect sim rig for car enthusiasts? I think so! Now, where's those instructions?
As a car enthusiast and lover of racing games, I've been wanting to build a PROPER Sim Rig for a few years now. You know, the type that FEELS like the real deal in games like F1 (Formula 1), Forza Motorsport, Assetto Corsa, etc. I built my first beginner/budget sim Rig in 2020 and the addiction hasn't stopped. So today, we're taking things to the next level with a NEW sim racing cockpit and all NEW gear. With the help of Jimmy, we assemble the GT Omega Prime Lite Cockpit, RS12 Seat, and Prime Monitor Stand. From there, we install a FULL Moza Racing Sim Setup with the R12 Direct Drive Wheelbase, CRP Pedals, HGP Shifter, ES Wheel, and the KS GT Wheel.
Since switching to gaming on my new Sim racing PC build, that opened up a TON of options for some of the best sim racing gear in the market. Just like cars, if you choose the right platform, the mods can be endless! Moza Racing is a relatively new brand to the scene, but they're going toe to toe with competitors like Fanatec. GT Omega on the other hand has been around since 2009, producing some of the best modular cockpits out there.
My goal here was to see how good a proper Sim racing setup felt as someone who modifies cars to taste. Is it close to the real thing? Is it that much better than a budget setup? Well that, and to try and be in the next "Gran Turismo" movie, but that's besides the point :) After the install and the initial break-in, I give you my final thoughts and review of the Moza Racing gear and GT Omega cockpit. Hopefully, this video can help you out or gives some guidance on your own sim build. If you have any questions on the setup, I'm happy to answer them in the comments below!

This setup is a dream! For anybody wondering, this setup would retail for just under 3k NOT including PC and screen.
hey man do you have like a list of the entire setup?
@@bruhbruh-fn4pjthis guy should in the description
@@bruhbruh-fn4pjnever mind he doesn’t I just bought one tho got a Logitech g923 with the stick shift ordered the play seat evolution with the gear shift Mount add on and I wanna say I’m at about 900 with no console and tv included but I got the g923 on Black Friday and just order the evolution cockpit so I’ll lyk if the set ups any good
@@bruhbruh-fn4pjand actually I’m only like 700$ deep not to bad
I wouldn’t call it a dream setup. I’d more call it a starter set up. I have a 10k setup and I’d say I’m just stating to get my dream setup
Absolutely AMAZING !!! The structure and components seem very high end. Congrats and ENJOY !!!
Agreed! Was definitely blown away by the quality
Such an insanely awesome setup- I vote you keep it in the garage- adds to the vibes when you’ve got real cars around you 👌
It’s going to be a brisk setup in the winter lmao
@@ALLDAYANTHONY not if Mr. Heater has anything to say about it!
What a setup!! Great video as always 👍
Glad you like it!
Wow awesome man, literally just got the PC for my sim rig yesterday. Gotta love the timing.
Congrats man! Hope you love it!
Convenience and safety all in one wow!!!!!
Awesome setup!
Thanks Jeff! Now I just need to mod a drink holder on here
Would you recommend going into a PC build first right away or starting the PS5 GT7 build first?
Also what type of PC build do you have? Pre built setup or did you build your own setup? Thanks man.
I am a road course driver and would love a setup for winter months in the Midwest during the off season
Brooo🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 you are living my dream jaja!
Congrats❤️🥰
Haha thanks man! I’m just a big kid
Save and get this setup it's amazing and so so worth it I have the exact same Moza components he bought but in a different cockpit it is so worth the money
Woah your rig is near me identical to mine the only difference is I have a Next Level Racing cockpit instead of a GT Omega cockpit everything else is identical and it's insanely good so so good congrats man and welcome to the club
Awesome set up bro!!!
Appreciate it!
Totally unrelated to the video I know, but I gotta say you got some seriously nice cars. 🤩
I’m more-so interested in your RSX with what I see are new Konig Neoforms. I just upgraded to a set of Neoforms for my Infiniti G37x Coupe last December, the car looks absolutely perfect with them on. I’m curious though, how or where did you get those Konig spoke stripes? I’ve been wanted to put some on my wheels as well…
Ill vouch for gtomega. My 1st order with them was nearly 10 years ago and i still go back to them for things. I only have the "classic" wheel stand (was the only stand they offered back when i ordered it, so it was their 1st actual wheel stand) which over time ive added their rear seat frame to, and i have a simmagic alpha mini mounted to it, pushin the full 10nm of torque, and its solid.
Sometimes with extremely large peaks ill get a slight hint of "wobble" or flex in it, but its nothing major at all and its a rare exception, such as massive crashes on beamng. General racing though its rock solid. Mind you, this isnt an 8020 aluminum profile, just their 1st iteration of their foldable wheel stand from a decade ago, something definitely not meant for direct drives. So i would say thats pretty damn impressive all things considered.
I will say, before upgrading to my alpha mini, i did purchase their upgraded support bars for the wheel stand ahead of time, so i cant speak of how it would hold up without them, but its very impressive none the less. I honestly thought i was gonna have to run no more then 50-60% tops power on the simagic until i got an 8020 rig, but it just really goes to show the build quality of their shit.
Awesome rig would love to get something like this one day!
I hope you do! It’s a blast
Can you tilt the wheel base back at an angle slightly like in a real car or does it just straight out
First one here let’s go! Love your videos man! Excited to see how this one turns out 🤙🏽
Hope you love it! Thanks for coming to watch
Add a stream deck to your setup. It’s the best additional I did to my setup besides typical sim gear.
That would look dope! Also make things much easier to navigate too!
Love the vids. I have a 90s Honda civic engine gold and chrome along with chrome 5sp transmission. I wish I could send a pic on here
Dope idea
Thanks for watching dude!
Just found you through Mozas youtube channel and now I'm subbed and gonna stick around!
Thanks man!!
Really cool Race-Sim!
Thanks man
You can do a lot next because race sim setups are updated alot
Really wanna know what they say about if you can hang from it because I don’t know 😂. Awesome setup though man. Might copy it for my first setup 😎
Looks like jimmys doing all the work , building it
Sick
Thanks dude, appreciate you watching
Always happy to build some sim rigs😎👍🏽
Thanks for the help fam
Nice 👍🏽
Thanks man!
I just got into sim racing too, it’s so addicting
Yes it is!
Literally the exact same thing I already have. Small issue tho, the GTOmega rig is completely out of stock in the U.S. would you happen to know anything similar to the GTOmega prime lite? Or should I just wait?
Advanced sim racing has some rigs in the us which ive heard a lot about as well as trak racer they have the tr80 lite and sim lab has the gt1 evo2.
You should get a car engine case for PC and mount on setup.
where can i buy this?
Wtf bro I’m looking to getting into sim racing and was looking for videos on CZcams and I didn’t notice you uploaded this, the timing is crazy
Awesome!! Hope you liked it!
Nice Rig but you got to add Triples for immersion
Hope to see a video on the games you play with the Hondas !!!!
That’s usually all I play with haha
have you played the new forza motorsport? i am looking into buying it. it seems great except for the leveling system to get upgrades.
I haven’t yet, but I’m sure I’ll give it a shot on this setup. And yes, the leveling system does look a bit annoying
Hey Anthony, what does a setup like this cost in the real world? No need to include the PC. Always look forward to your content!
Thanks Jason! Honestly, it depends on how crazy you want to get. It's not a particularly cheap hobby, so I would budget to spend over 1k with some add-ons. Moza has some bundles starting at 400. GT Omega has a few cockpits around 500. But once you have the gear, it pays for itself in fun factor. There's cheaper options out there, but the experience may be underwhelming. Hope that helps
why a 55" vs something smaller? I'm new to the game so not sure if 55" gives the best realistic view
The wifey already gave me the go ahead to put this next to the s2000 in the garage!
Yesssss!!! Order it before she changes her mind
I want one but want the V3 motion as well that's 3k alone 😂
As someone who has never done sim racing, But watched it for years! I wanna start getting into purchasing my racing sim setup. Would you recommend this cockpit/accessories are worth it
100%. This whole setup has been phenomenal
Can I use on my ps5?
I'm sim racing player since I was 11 years old and couldn't get my dream setup yet, such an expensive hobby 😂
I'm running t300rs GT and simjack pedals with a next level cockpit. I'm having fun tho
That’s a totally fine setup. This is just taking something like that to the next level lol
Would be cool to see you drive on our servers with this setup 👀
Give me the server info!
waiting for those perfect wrist to feel the pain with that wheel angle
dang money makes things look fun
Please brother ...give me the link to buy these set up
It's a nice mid range set but you blew it with the monitor. Should have went with a triple monitor set and a bazel free kit. The immersion would be so much better. You also need to adjust your field of view and hide the in-game steering wheel
Why monitor? Go VR!?
@@goodcitizenryan1589 There are reasons for both. many people don't feel comfortable with VR. I use VR when I drive open wheelers and triples when I drive tin tops.
How would you mount a handbrake with the moza shifter taking up all the space?
The handbrake would just be mounted to the same bar the shifter sits on
@@ALLDAYANTHONY just on the bar? You don’t need an extra plate like the shifter?
What is the hook in the wall holding the KS up? I need it
I got it from Home Depot. It’s a husky wall hook
I have to ask. How did you modify asseta corsa?? I tried a few months ago and it didn’t go well and I uninstalled the game out of frustration lol
It’s called content manager. It makes a new interface for Assetto that makes it easy to add car mods
@@ALLDAYANTHONY I feel like I tried that and it failed on me. I’ll try again though! Thank you!
I have a Thrustmaster ecosystem - T300RSbase, Sparco P310 wheel, T3PA-pro inverted pedals, TH8A h-shifter, and TSS handbrake/sequential shifter. I love it. And for how little time I get a chance to use it (working night shift, family with 2 kids, 3 corgis, a 3-legged part smiamese cat, and 10 reptiles). Besides, I don't"t feel I would be better just by upgrading my gear, again, unless one of our kids eventually move out so I have more space, and 2, I somehow figure out how to add more hours in a day!
(Oh, and my girlfriend and I have been involved in our local custom car community for 20 years, and I like sim racing because I get a chance to do so much that I can't do in the real world.)
Sounds like a great setup! I feel you, the room is a big issues with full rigs. Enjoy what you have and eventually make the upgrade!
What did that cost dude 😮
I highly recommend putting the screen right up behind the wheelbase, as close to you as possible. It will make a huge difference to how immersive the game feels.
I would if I wasn’t far sighted. Don’t see as well with the screen up close
@@ALLDAYANTHONY fair enough!
How much did it cost you to pay for it
Mount an 83" LG 4K UHD and do a simulated dash
can you say wich tv that is
It’s a TCL Q7!
Do post the link or video of the full pc build
I haven’t made a video on it, but it’s nothing too crazy spec wise
*assembling :D
❤️
Well since I can't get my EM1 running, I might just sell it and get a racing rig setup.
Do it!! Or just build a sim inside the em1 lol
are you going to show you're pc setup? it looks like you're radiator is set at the bottom instead of at the top.
Water cooler is front mounted! Power supply is on the bottom
I want to adult yolo this so bad 😂
Last thing to get is a VR ;)
Agreed!
Next upgrade - swap that racing helmet for a VR headset
That would be cool!
@@ALLDAYANTHONY way better than cool
What is the pc setup like??
Honestly it was built on a lot of spare parts I got second hand lol. Ryzen 7 cpu, gigabyte 2070 super, 64GB of ram, and a 2TB SSD.
@@ALLDAYANTHONY those sound decent to me so your friends gave you good spares lol
No tilt on your wheel at all. Cars dont have the steering wheel 90deg to the floor.. I have a trakracer cockpit with a fanatec DD1 and I chose it so I could easily adjust the wheel and base for some tilt.
also your screen is way too far away for proper POV.
I’ve made more adjustments since the setup. There is a title adjustment on the cockpit stand. My screen is further because I’m far sighted. My eyes don’t work that close up
I checked out the website and can't find any option to just buy the entire set-up you have. You have to get all the bits separately. Pretty annoying. Amazing video though man. Thanks.
That’s the case with any sim setup for the most part. Pretty straight forward, GT omega prime lite, RS12 seat, and a Moza combo of your choosing and you should be good to go
The angle from the steering wheel is very unrealistic.
Are you full time CZcams?
Nope, just film and upload when I can
where is legendary introo????
"the sim vlog you hopefully know and love" didn't have the same ring to it lol
I mean if the racing set up gets to the price of a car, I may as well get car
You’re not wrong!
@@ALLDAYANTHONY thank you, appreciate that
This setup desperately needs cable management 😂
Yes the first thing to do on my list!
"It may, or may not cause a lot of financial problems in your life" 😂😂😂
No problems! Only solutions!
A chinese setup with all that Moza
I'm surprised to hear that it's Chinese too. But that makes it perfect for simracers in Asia because shipping costs are much cheaper than Fanatec.
And when it comes to professional tech, like it or not, they aren't kidding. Not only that, it's Moza and Simagic, both Chinese btw, that are leading the Direct Drive wheel market right now with the overwhelming positive reviews on the Moza R9, R12 and Simagic Alpha Mini respectively. Fanatec has only just caught up with Clubsport DD, announced very recently.
Yepppp… there goes the money for an RSX 😂😂 I hate you bro!
You won’t regret it!!
Very weird he shows his friends faces but never his 🤔
How weird!!!
Tik tok lives??
Most likely IG live if anything haha
good mid-range setup, very far from perfect lol
I would say that 99.9% of car people would be absolutely thrilled with this setup. Myself included.
Absolutely nothing about this rig is special. A standard 8020 rig, low to mid tier Moza parts, meh.
Well what exactly are you comparing it to? A 20k full motion rig?
🔴🏁
🏁
Decent setup, but in no way near "perfect" there's a huge ladder to climb to reach that level! 🫣
Yes a ladder made of pure money lol. It’s a perfect setup for people like me!
@@ALLDAYANTHONY Doesn't have to be expensive, massive used market for SIM gear can pretty much get you everything you'd need!
