- The Habitat :
This depends on the type of frog that you own. There are three basic types of habitats that you’ll encounter: arboreal, terrestrial, and aquatic.
Tree-dwelling species will need an arboreal enclosure. These tanks are much taller than they are wide, allowing you to put vines, branches, and other decorations inside for your frog to climb on. They also do better in terrariums than aquariums (all this means is you want a tank with vents at the bottom).
Larger frogs or toads or any species that doesn’t jump that high might prefer a terrestrial cage. These look like basic aquariums, and they’re wider than they are tall. You can use a terrarium or aquarium for land-based frogs, but be sure to put a lid on the top so they don’t hop right out.
Aquatic species live in the water. You’ll need an actual aquarium for these, as they will be full of water. The size of the tank will depend on how many frogs and what species you’re keeping.

Glad to see I'm not the only one stealing lids from the kitchen to be used in random DIY projects. Superb, as always.
Thank you so much,LOL,Sometimes,Some trash is available ♥️
Man this is so beautiful. U literally feel for the frog, where it belongs to the natural habitat.
Thank you so much!!
@@ferretwonderland use real rock it look so natural with out cant imagine cant figure that out
Frogs are so chill they just sit there
They often spend a lot of their time sitting or floating in water, especially in a well-maintained and comfortable environment.
I can't help but whenever i think of a scaper who uses rocks will have a stack pile of rocks to store while choosing only the pieces they need each time they scape and for you. Just a bottle or two of foam to do the same thing. Hahaha. Still your work is inspiring and your gift to cut foam into rocks is marvel much by me. Respect.👍
This is so soothing and inspiring!!! I'd love to start this hobby someday!!!
Thank you.Look forward to seeing yours.
Love every minute of it. So so beautiful and relaxing.
Absolutely beautiful! It looks so tranquil!

The rocks you carved look incredibly realistic.
Thank you very much for your kind words! I take great care in my work to ensure that my rock carvings are as realistic as possible. It means a lot to me to hear that my efforts are appreciated.

Great feature to house frogs and fish
Thats the most creative aquarium you Made for them thanks for making them feel like in their own house
Your video production is equally as magnificent as your paludarium!!

Hola. Tus videos son increibles, realmente admiro tu trabajo y es un placer observar cada ecosistema que realizas. Saludos!!
Thank you so much!!gracias
I just LOVE frogs. All of it damn it.
Your videos are so BEAUTIFUL. 🥰
You inspire me so much and now I just have to do this kind of setting for my eight african dwarf frogs.
Even though they stay under water, something like this would make the whole scene even more interesting and far more realistic.
It's wonderful that they have inspired you to create a captivating setup for your eight African dwarf frogs. Adding a realistic and interesting environment can greatly enhance their well-being and provide a visually appealing setting for you to enjoy.
I hope your aquarium project turns out to be as beautiful and engaging as you envision!
It literally looks so amazing !
Thanks 😊
I love these videos, they’re so relaxing!
Thank you for loving it 😊
Nice paludarium
Thank you!
I absolutely love this and everything in your channel! Great inspiration set upsn
Thank you so much!!
Very Very Beautiful
Thank you so much! I'm glad you think so.
A step by step explanation of how and why you're building would be really useful for us beginners
Thank you for your message.I am so glad to see it.
While this is a great build and that would be helpful to some. There are many creators like Dr. plants who do those explanations. Its okay for a few of these artists to just display their creative process without having to take the steps of informing us about every step. I get it, its great to know. But these creators aren't all required to fill the niche of tutors.
Try terrarium designs channel too if you want some instruction. There are a few really great instruction channels.
The frogs must be so happy! 🐸
That's very kind of you!
It's so amazing . I will appreciate you hard work .... this was awesome. The frog was lucky to have a such home
Thank you so much 😊 It’s nice of you.
Welcome EXCITED FOR THE NEXT VIDEO....
This just soothed my very soul!!!!!!!
Thank you so much!! I am so glad to see your message.
This is amazing! However, I wonder what soil/substrate you are using for the plans? How are they surviving? The overall impact is one of awe and wonder. Well done indeed!
I think that the plants used are epiphytes, hence no need for soil or substrate :)
@@okurrt5836 correct, those plants dont need soil.
He usually fits some moss or even microfiber cloth in the crevices to wick moisture and give his plants room to anchor their roots.
Some plants are epiphytes, and some plants needs soil, which is Peat soil. sorry,I forgot to record.
sometimes I use microfiber cloth in the crevices to wick moisture
they are all correct.
That frog is in actual frog heaven. Endless food and water supply, zero predators and no neighbours
Hope the frog enjoys it.
When you sprayed the expanding foam it was quite scary I find that stuff so creepy lol but wow it was so amazing when you cut into it and made it look like slate rock. Thank you for sharing these videos they’re amazing. I hope I come back as a frog living in your care in my next life
why? there is nothing weird about expanding foam
@@Evaisa it just freaks me out I don’t like the way it moves and grows it’s creepy and weird to me
once again your creativity and your imagination is very good. love to see more videos from you and your tiny friends 👍👏🏼
Thank you my friend,I am so happy to see your message 😊
You’re extremely talented! 👍🏽
Thank you so much.
Absolutely love this build! You're a master. Can I ask what kind of moss you used?
Absolutely lovely what did there.
Thanks.
You have a gift .. this is amazing ❤️
Thanks.
Another scene great love it ❤️... 🙏🏽stay healthy bruh... 👍
Thank you 😊
Great as always.
Thank you as always.
So wonderful art
Thank you,It’s nice of you.
I need to try this method next time I need to do a waterfall! Or just maybe when I get the Starry Night Reed frogs I want!
OMG, It's cute.Where do you get them?
@@ferretwonderland I plan on ordering them from Josh's Frogs! I've heard great things about their animals and the products I've tried from them have been amazing so far!
Impressive! Better than most zoo enclosures 👍

Beautiful 🤗👍👍👍👍❤👍👍
Thank you.

I guess, I will be down voted for this, but I am highly skeptical of this build. Large parts of the paludarium consist of exposed construction foam which has a large surface area due all its little bubbles and cannot be cleaned. The plants are set in a way such that I have a hard time to believe that they will thrive. Instead, many of them will simply die. Finally, the water body is way too small for any fish, let alone neon tetra, a swarm fish that needs a large volume for swimming.
The method shown in the video is a common technique used for years by those in the paludarium/terrarium keeping hobby
Some fish would do great in this build, like dither fish. I feel that dwarf rasboras Would do well also. It is true that tetras need more space tho
@@ichrised idk if not giving the fish enough space is part of any ‘technique’ chief
@@fartlek. I'm pretty sure he meant the technique where he used expanding foam to create a natural landscape, which is completely harmless for the fish
@ichrised Yes,you are right.
these are so satisfying to watch!
Thank you so much.
GORGEOUS!
Thank you for loving it.
Amazing ❤
Beautiful video and build! I'm interested to know exactly what expanding foam brand/product you use. I'm interested in building my own paludarium and want to know of a safe product I can use. Thank you!
I get way to jealous watching these
The second instrumental was sick dude 4:15
Exclusive!!! 👍👍👍
Brilliant ♥️
Thanks 😊
this is amazing!
Thank you.
very beautiful
Thank you so much!!!
Interesting choice leaving the foam bare instead of covering it with silicone and some sort of substrate. It has a cool texture how you cut it that I like but I’d be worried it would harbor way too much bacteria and be potentially harmful to any animals
yea it's not a great idea
I love like to give this to my tadpoles when they grow up to a frog.
great job !..
Thanks
I really enjoyed this video, now I got inspiration for my next aquascape :)
Thank you,it's my pleasure.
very sigma
I will try to make that but it looks impossible you have talent😁
MUITO IMPRESSIONANTE GOSTEI MUITO ESPERO UM DIA TER CONDIÇÃO DE FAZER ISSO TBM 🇧🇷✨
obrigado
Espero ver seu aquário um dia
I wish there was a list of everything used to try and make one myself.
Wouldn't that be nice.....and kind?!
i wish i could live here
Beautiful palladium 😳😳😳😳🔥
RUSSIAN LIKE 👍
Thank you so much, and Welcome 😊
Wonderfull 👍
Thank you.
I did a set up like this, it it’s growing mold like crazy and I think I might gut it out after all
Great channel and amazing video. Shared and subscribed to channel.
Thank you so much!
what expanding foam is this? or which one can i safely use?
Please advise, in a setup like this, with a polypropylene housing for a pump/filter, can you also put a small heater (30W - 50W) inside the housing without melting anything? thanks
so beautiful ;)
Thanks 😊
Very nice work 👍❤
Thank you so much for your kind words.
Absolute masterpiece
Thank you so much.
I love it👍
Thanks
Enjoy watching your video, and beautiful setup. May I know what expanding foam you are using ?
It's for aquarium.
Do you use uvb/uva lighting?
Love this build! What kind of foams and silicones are ok to use in paludariums? And if you let the water run over the cut foam will it stay good? (Like no mold or break apart)? I want to build something like this thanks for the video
Most underrated channel ....😎
Thank you so much!!
Man, ive been banging my head as to what to add to my foam after i carve it, do i glue sand, coco, or a mixture of peat an coco ..... none of them seemed natural - after seeing this, im just going to carve it to look like rocks an let the natural look take over. I really like that idea, nice set up - even though we all lile it, i bet the frog loves it! 🤣
Amazing 💙💚🌎
Thank you!
Subscribed. Wish i found this channel earlier. All videos are so relaxing and calming, im almost fall asleep. Keep it up bro!
SO BEAUTIFUL, YOU ARE A GENIUS!!!! BY YOUR EXPERIENCE IS NOT TOXIC SILICONE OR GLUE?? AND HOW LONG DOES IT RESIST?? HAVE YOU CHANGE PLANTS OR THEY CAN GROW FOR A LONG TIME INSIDE THE HABITAT?? THANK YOU.
czcams.com/video/bMOfVlJlVmI/video.html
What a craftsman. The thought of black sealant near glass, gives me nightmares.
I am new to all of this. So, do you have a closed watercycle here? the waterfall feeds the pond where the fish swim, and this water is pumped to the waterfall again? why dont you need a filter in this case?
In builds like this, the plants that take their water from the waterfall act as a natural filter so in most cases adding a filter isn’t really necessary.
But if you add species that strongly contaminate the water (like frogs that poo into the water or fish that pollute a lot), adding an additional filter or doing frequent waterchanges becomes necessary.
I have a similar setup without a filter and so far I haven’t had to do a single waterchange even tough the tank is running for over a year.
@@yourlocaltoad5102 Thank you for your answer. you are professional.
@@ferretwonderland How do the plants grow? Where is the soil? Or is the foam some sort of a special mix or something? My mind is currently blown.
Submersible pump.plants and soil.
@@yourlocaltoad5102 but how is all the plant got the water actually?? is this set up make the water run under the foam too?? because if its straight down i'm not sure that the plant on the far side can get it..
Does the foam hold up well like this? I thought you had to use Drylok?
such a big home for a tiny frog
Thanks.
This is art.
Thank you so much
AWESOME! What type of frog is this?
What kind of foam do you use?
