    It would take me an hour to document all my struggles with this - Loved it first summer - honeymoon era. Trencher took a day to put in. Layed out with a T and 3 on each side.
    Water pressure in 75 with 6GPM. 2nd summer sorta ok, still happy to have in ground. Last summer, had to pull up head after head to get them to go. This summer, it just ain't working. No there is no leak. Have changed every head, found Orbit's work better and I believe more durable.
    I changed - all heads multiple times, new timer, TWO new FCKIT's (great name for their Faucet Connection, should be the name of the whole kit)), in and out and in with pressure reducerS (plural), hook hose directly to it bypassing timer., dug 2 2' holes in my lawn, replace end drain. Finally got out the sprinklers mid August and got my lawn green again. Yeah it was green around the heads where the water gurgled. I've bought (and returned) heads, including non rotators, at least a dozen of them. Where do I count the ways?
    THIS SYSTEM WILL NOT SUPPORT 6 HEADS!!!
    I was ready to buy an Orbit kit and start over, and destroy my lawn - again. But even if I did - I would NOT try to run more than 4 heads.
    To try to conclude, I finally stated digging, and found the T - (just about a 12" X 4' hole) and split them and extended them.
    Now separate lines with THREE heads pop fine. My yard is only ~60' X 20'. I will get an Orbit Dual Zone timer like I have in my front yard, and run them at different times. And tonight is is going to rain now that I FINALLY figured it out,,, wonderful. Happy summer and nice having a desert with 6 lush green spots about 2' in diameter.
    "Customer service" is appalling, all those things I tried, except using Orbit heads, were at their direction - but they NEVER admitted it wouldn't run 6 heads, even today for my at least 10th-12th phone call to them.
    I think it MAY run 4, but if you believe their advertising and put in 6 (3X3 on a T), prepare for the honeymoon to be over not that far down the road. You should see the parts laid out on my patio, but why bother? Suffice it to say I have at least $150 in Home Depot returns to do.
    This is deceptive advertising, and all the great reviews you read MUST be in the Honeymoon phase.
    I could type for another hour, but why bother. Rainbird owes me. I gotta get back out there and fill in the holes before it rains, but I'm scared to re-bury it for fear something else will happen.
    They need to re-name the kit with their Faucet Kit code. FCKIT

    I may have missed it, but can you connect multiple heads together, so you attach the hose to one and have multiple heads watering?

    • @CrazyRick250
      @CrazyRick250  Před rokem

      You Likely could if you have enough water pressure and are willing to do some modification. The setup uses ordinary flex poly pipe anyway.

    Thank you for the information on a really goofy product. Just put a maxi paw on a spike type of Hose sprinkler. You have to move the hose around anyway. You might as well just take the maxi-paw on the spike around also. Then you only have to buy one Spike and one maxi-paw. Kind of a cool idea but not really

      Actually what you want is called the Maxi bird. The Maxi bird is the actual impact sprinkler inside the case of the maxi-paw. You can buy it separate.

    Do you get water inside either the sprinkler tube or the hose tube? I just set one up and both have quite a bit of water in them after about ten minutes. Hose is brand new as is the lg3he

    • @CrazyRick250
      @CrazyRick250  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes running the Sprinkler you will get water in both which makes it a great breading ground for earwigs in the summer.

    I recently set up my rainbird. The problem that im running into is the hose tube and sprinkler build up water over 30 min time. The water drains very slowly. Did I set it up wrong?

    What if I didn't use the cover to the hose and and just left the hose connected and slightly buried?

    • @CrazyRick250
      @CrazyRick250  Před 2 lety

      Well if it doesn't freeze then you should be fine. You just don't want water in the system when it gets below freezing.
