Dads who says no dog are usually those who once had their heart broken by a beloved dog passing away.
Am a dad, I came here to say this. The emotional weight of knowing sometime in the next 12 years you'll have to go through loosing your best friend once again is a lot.
My baby is at the end, she is 16 and skinny..I know when she passes I will be heartbroken, hell just thinking about it kills me.
I lost my very best friend 7 months ago and my heart is broken but I'm sure we'll meet again because we loved each other. God Bless Henry. 💔💕💕💕😙
My Dad and I had a Siamese cat ...Spooky. That cat loved him and when he passed my dad cried. I never ever saw him cry ever except when that cat passed.

This was my husband with our Golden. My hubby even got an RV so he could vacation with us and not be left behind. It was hard for all of us when he passed away. But my husband definitely took it very hard. RIP, Copper. 🐕💔
My Dad loved dogs and always spoilt them. It was so hard seeing the grief and pain in his eyes whenever they died. They are all reunited now, and one day I hope to be with them all again and sharing all that love. RIP Dad, Whisky, Shep, Brandy, Tinker, Spot, Tara, Bruno and Chappie xxx

My grandfather didn't want a dog. My grandmother surprised him with a dog. Since then he has always had a dog. He pass away last summer and his pup lives with my aunt and her dog.
I was in the same boat about not wanting a dog, simply because it’s a huge commitment. One year later, I couldn’t imagine mine and my family’s life without him
Funny how that happens. I honestly think I’d die a slow death if anything happened to my dog.

Dogs are heaven on earth. And goldens are just loads of love. So great to see a beautiful dog being loved.
My mother was the same way until we got our first golden retriever. That was 26 years ago and she'll probably keep having them for the rest of her life. She even cooks for our dog now!

I lost a 4 year old Cocker Spaniel at age 4 for Nugget, and it ripped my heart out. That was some trying times after cancer got my Mom. I promised myself- No more Dogs til I own my own house. Now, I have a 7 year old Golden Retriever and 7 year old Great Pyrenees Boxer Mix. They are spoiled but they give back a Tremendous amount of Love. I would not want to live without them.
Lets just talk about how gorgeous this golden retriever is!! Watching this video and friendship is more soothing than any medication on a difficult day. Trust me, I know.
It makes me so happy to see how much love Sterling gets all the time. He deserves every bit of it. He is such a wonderful boy.

My dad was exactly the same - didn’t want one and of course as soon as he met Ollie our golden retriever he fell in love and ended up bonding with him more than my mum - sadly dad passed away in hospital 2 years later and never got a chance to say goodbye to Ollie but I hope they will meet again one day - Ollie is now 14 and can’t believe he’s lived this long - dogs really are the best ❤

Every time I see his face, I gotta sit down - Sterling takes my breath away! I'll bet it only took dad 3.2 minutes to fall in love with him. Goldie's have perpetually smiling faces, gentle personalities, they're always doing something funny and their chocolate pudding eyes can make anyone melt. Doesn't it seem like the family member that doesn't want a dog, falls in love first?!?!?? :o)
Every Dad is Same once they say no and later they fell in love more than us.

My dad actually didn't like dogs because he saw his brother get bitten by one as a kid. Now my sister got a dog and seeing my dad with her is just the cutest thing. The dog adores him and can't contain herself when she sees him, and she starts crying when he leaves.

Golden Retrievers know how to steal your heart. They are very clever psychologists.
We had a cat for a week and could have kept it. The cat did any mischief you could think of, jumped out of a window on the roof and wanted to play "scratch and bite" all day long. We were glad when the cat was out of our flat again.

They say Golden retrievers don't have owners, they have staff.
I should know we had them for 21 years.
@@TheWuschelMUC what did u end up doing with the cat? Probably should have expected or at least read up on what owning a cat could be like? Animals end up all the time in shelters for this very reason of someone wanting a "pet" without knowing what that pet would be like or not wanting to take the time or training that goes into one.....very sad actually
