What really happened on the podcast with Syed Muzamil Hasan Zaidi? - TPE Daily - Shehzad Ghias

  • Last week Syed Muzamil Hasan Zaidi of Thought Behind Things came on The Pakistan Experience ( • Defending PTI, Digital... ) and the podcast has ignited a fiery social media debate.
Reluctantly, I have made this video addressing all the controversies surrounding the podcast. It was unrehearsed and unscripted so I forgot to mention that the screenshot is not from a private group chat, it is from the TBT group.
I hope this puts all the matters and debates to rest and we can all move on.
Did I do a podcast to settle scores?
Did I put off the record things in the podcast?
Did I say post an out-of-context clip?
Here is a TPE daily update addressing all of that.
The Pakistan Experience is an independently produced podcast looking to tell stories about Pakistan through conversations.

I respect that you were here took interest in the topic but trust me with this the real issues with Pakistan these guys are not even close these are just 2 crying little bitches. And real issues with Pakistan are far worse than what you have in Nepal as I have seen and worked with Nepalese the type of upbringing with self-righteousness and selflessness as your base morals no matter the financial situation, understanding the fact that no work is small and hand earned money is way better than asking people for money and hustling people out of their money makes an average Nepali far superior than an average Pakistani. These are morals we need to learn not these rich attention seeking whores crying about their personal problems on podcasts to make money out of it.

brother - i can tell you it is a relief to see youth open to questioning everything - which is awesome. however, I have observed you of being guilty of giving into your ego and being ridiculously mean too with Muzamil and Bilal L. forget about letting criticism effect you, you're only screwed if you let negative criticism stop you from checking your own ego. Absolutely keep doing what you're doing and understand all our egos are protecting our historical baggage. You have the energy of youth which is great. it was exhilarating to watch you help Muzamil realize he was being an a-hole to you. as an older "audience" (52, male, bottom end of the 1 percent elite ) of yours, i am extremely hopeful with the youth of this country. any adult/youth who shies away from accountability to another adult/youth does as much disservice as he does when he is not "receptive" to listening. we should all carry the maturity to assess which statements need to be ignored. apologies for the length. wish you all the best kiddos (subscribed to u and Muzamil and loved Bilal as well)

And I think you took these trolls a bit too seriously, they are fans of a podcast that plays safe with controversial topics and this podcast was justifiably something uncomfortable for such an audience because the original fans of this podcast come here for what we dont find on TBT, Junaid Akram, Mooroo etc.
Don't take such trolls seriously, most of them are probably charged up teenagers misguided by disco molvis like Raja Zia ul Haq etc. I was the same way when I was young, they will learn to be more accepting of other sides with time.

To be honest I think it was a very balanced podcast you conducted with Syed Muzammil. I was a little apprehensive at first given Muzammil's past with Imran Khan fanboyism. However, as the discourse progressed I felt that you asked all the right questions and didn't let up easily while simultaneously being very respectful which is quite impressive to pull off. It also helped me understand the mind of an Imran supporter. Can't say I agree, however it did help develop an understanding. Keep up the good work.

Yar this feels both needless and much-needed at the same time. Needless because anybody who even criticizes you for the wrong stuff is not worth clarifying to, and much-needed because it highlights the toxic nature of the desi community at large, and the visible effect is has on a person. Kinda leaning towards the latter, the more I think about it:)
More importantly, much love, support, e-hugs, and prayers! Takes a big person to address and appreciate the legit criticism. Hope the ones who love outnumber the ones who hate to a point where they become negligible.😘😘😘

I’m relatively new to The Pakistan Experience and truth be told I did watch the said podcast in full after watching the ‘viral clip’. I don’t think there was anything wrong with your line of questioning. Its a little sad to see that the content of the clip was the only takeaway from an overall intellectually stimulating conversation. I’m sure it was more uncomfortable for you both to sit through it than for the audience to listen. More power to you! I hope it brought you some closure and we get to see you both together again with another interesting conversation.

This video would have been great, if only it didn't subtlety threat that you could leak more dirt on Muzamil. Not sure if it's this intentionally, or you're not aware that it's giving that vibe. This is a well meaning feedback that it would have been better if you didn't include that part.

Ive put in a harsh comment after listening to muzamil ke sath podcast episode. Having said what i did i stand my it and also believe that you can continue to grow in doing what you are doing. A bump in your journey, forget about it and move on to cont to create great content.
Internet is so raw that ppl can see right through. Never forget that.

If that out-of-context clip made you bad, muzamil won't be a nationwide meme after that ( that same clip got viral, saw it on hundereds of fb pages and groups) . The main takeaway from the podcast, which i watched it full, was that "Personal group chat message" I feel like things got pretty bad there and there is no denying that you once had a grudge, which you hold for some time for a day to bash him on camera. It was very clear there was no need to manipulate more.
I like it that in this video you were accepting most of the things which clearly shows you messed it up in the podcast. But in no ways any abuse or roasting or attacking should be considered as an option. Muzamil himself put a full stop on the fb group so it should and must be wrapped.
Also, ghias bhai please please please not even look at those msgs. Those people are istg lifeless jobless guys got no education or morals or nothing. Apni frustrations nikalte hae you don't even have to like to acknowledge them even. Family ko laye kisi ko bhi laye wo unka amal hae just pass it off. Just focus on constructive criticism that's it minus all this absurd negativity out.

This level of trolling is absolutely disgusting. Stay strong Shehzad, you've given so much amazing, thought provoking content to people like me who are having a really rough time, it enrages me that people would pick on you for such an insignificant reason.

Shehzad its my humble opinion, dont bet an eye on these comments and anonymous accounts. This is the biggest credibility of their fake bullying sort of criticism that they dont have the balls to do all this from theor own private account . Your genuine viewers love you, they wait for great episodes to be uploaded and be the way you are just like you are in every podcast. Dont change your show criteria or dont change your hosting format. We watch ut because you have an insight of everything and you are not afraid to ask stuff that is challenging to answer for the host. Hope to see this channel and you along with this team of Pakistan Experience grow, flourish and set the bar for every other podcasts.
