im a metro employee...its pretty simple...people were hitting us with account numbers and pins from accounts that they had gotten a hold of, they get the instant 150 off and then the actual owner of that account gets hit with etf's or other fees from their carrier because of someone porting out their number to get a free iPhone...so everybody that says theyre doing him wrong or they should just do it for him with out vetting anything are the same people that wou;ld say we're wrong for doing it if they were watching a video of somebody screaming at an employee because their number was ported to metro without authorization...its a catch 22...AT THE END OF THE DAY, THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE TO ANYONE...STOP ACTING LIKE ENTITLED CHILDREN lol
I just ported over yesterday to Metro from Cricket Wireless and when I went to swipe my debit card they needed to see my Driver's license. I agree and understand. There not lying, fraud is going around because of people trying to get the free phones, promotions, etc. A person's driver license should be presented at the time of purchase and port over as well as there actual name on there debit/credit card. They just want to keep everyone's Information safe that's all. He was being a whole Karen for no reason.
They must have a fraud issue. Only customers porting can pay with cash due to having established service otherwise they ask for credit/debit incase its fraud. This is known issue for many carriers.
