Jons Resurrection and the confirmation of his identity would be a very cool redemption for lady Stonehearts arch .... learning that Ned never cheated on her could redeem her character and she could rest in peace at last
What she needs for that is to find out that at least one of her children are alive.
I think that Arya and her wolf's wolf pack will defeat the Brothers after learning that Sansa is alive, and make peace with her mother before killing her.

+Ahntara123 Kings Blood is necessary for environmental impacts. But the subject of a resurrection doesn't necessarily need to have King's Blood.
+Ahntara123 Fulfillment of Azor Ahai prophecy!
Hi dear.Azor Ahai and Jon snow connection is completely different from beric resurrection. To undersyand more abt the connection you need to know the history of Azor Ahai.Azor existed thousands of years back and played a crucial role in saving the world. Now if you need to exactly know why jon snow and azor are being talked in the same breadth you need to get spoiled somewhat which I think should not be a problem if u have seen the show.Let me know!
I get that there is a connection and I also think that Jon is Azor Ahai, or part of him (possibly one of the 3). What I'm not clear on is why people say king's blood is needed when there are have been multiple resurrections without it. Just seems to me that the people who say this are reaching and making assumptions.

Yea, about that
What if Jon isn't resurrected and the story just focuses on the crippled tree boy?
+raging flame I did. Because of the visions. It made it look like he was some prophecied kid or something. Since he is just a kid, he won't really have any political influence. He won't be a warrior. Why would he seek out a god-like figure beyond the wall? I think he will be the big hero of this story tbh. I think bran wasn't in season 5 because his destiny would be a far greater one, to great to reveal it just yet. I think he will be the one to defeat the White walkers, by utilizing his powers. When Jon snow stated that even after having joined forces with the Wildlings, chance of victory would not be certain. After the huge massacre, you can imagine that this chance significantly decreased. That's where bran comes in. I think.
+The Last Methbender And i think Hodor will rule Westeros.
I think Hodor is actually a Clegane but was abused at a young age by the two brothers. Hence the speech impediment and moments of distress.
Also explains his large size, the brothers never mention him because they assume he died during a beating.

XE Obzeh [Aspect Co] Yeah it's hard since you already basically watched everything. But in book 2 it really is getting different.
XE Obzeh [Aspect Co] same here. i pretty much read all of book 1 and it is tiresome, since the first season kept very close to the first book
I really want Jon will be the Azor Ahai of GOT , but damn .. i have see so much theory about that , if is not true i well be very sad :(. GIVE ME BACK JON FKING SNOW PLS RR .
As De Pique Indeed. This video and other people connecting the dots have filled me with hope of seeing Jon Snow return.... if he doesn't it'll be a huge let down, and confuse me because the dots have already been connected in a logical way.
As De Pique I will be very happy if all those theories are not true because then i won't know what is coming for me and its even more entertaining.
Krydda If you didn't watch this video you wouldn't have known about the theory and would've been surprised if it turns out to be the case. LOL. :P
Teal'c Nah, i've read from this theory on reddit after the last book was released 2012. its just annoying that the mainstream now floods the internet with tinfoil theories with no backup and think that GRRM books are so predictable.
Krydda Uhh,.."with no back up".... LOL, whats your definition of back up?. .....I'd say the "back up" this youtube vid has is quotes from the books and show which points the story in this direction.
And no, I've never gotten the impression from anyone that thinks GRRM's stories are predictable. No one is simply saying he will rise from the dead... they are pointing out context clues to show you one possible direction this story might be heading towards.
They asked a question, did background research and constructed a hypothesis from the information gathered. ..... All they're saying is he still is a candidate for Azor ahai based on current information.
Honestly in retrospect, it shouldve been 1. John is resurrected by the lord of light because he the real Azor Ahai, and thats because 2. He is the only person left in Westeros who a. Has a legitimate claim to the throne and b. Would actually be accepted as king by the North, re-uniting the 7 kingdoms and thus being able to field a united Westerosi Army against the Night King. That would've made the most sense. So much wasted potential.
Yes but what about the westerlands
@@codman123 Sansa's marriage with Tyrion? The Westerlands and Dorne won't bend the knee but can't fight neither.
@@venuskllix1066 yes but what will happen about dany and tyrions marriage with sansa was forced and sansa might make tyrion look bad
I would really be interested in a video explaining the significance of Jon, Bran, and Arya being worgs, since it seems to be so rare a thing to be. But two siblings and a cousin? Yeah. Great videos so far--thanks for that!
+ChinaMo Cheers! Yeah it'd be cool to do a video on warging some time...
+Alt Shift X Good job man, Good job, great videos, all the time!!!
GRRM is actually on record as saying ALL the Stark children are/were wargs so very rare indeed.
+SportsSpeak73 that would make sense. Rickon's warging is never noted because he was so young that his warging was more symbiotic and Shaggydog just acted impulsively like a 6 year old.
yeah, Rickon's is implied in the sense that his wolf routinely mirrors Rickons mood, but its never stated that he has "wolf dreams".
I got a crackpot theory.
What if "A song of ice and fire" is an actual song, written by Rhaegar to Lyanna expressing his love for her and their child she carries. If this document where ever discovered, it could be one link to revealing R+L=J.

Matt Something I like this theory.
Matt Something CZcams comment theories are usually really dumb, but I like this one.
Matt Something Stay off the crack Matt.
Nice copy and paste from reddit...
1:43 "Bran is forgotten, beyond the Wall, becoming a psychic tree boy or something."
Nailed it.
Do you think that being ressurected in the books could turn Jons hair white, like it happened with Catelyn? It would fit, if he embraces also his Targaryen heritage afterwards.
But eye color remains the same 🤔
plot twist: Jon wargs into Hodor at the last moment and conquers the south with Bran and that tree fella
So Jon's last word in the book is Ghost, and he's definitely going to warg into Ghost upon death.
Jon's last word in the show is Olly. Jon wargs into Olly confirmed?
Could you make a video and explore the possibility of an Ice Dragon beyond the wall. As you said Mellisandra said that her magic was stronger at the wall and it is known that dragons amplify magical powers so could an ice dragon be beyond the wall? Possibly with the white walkers.
suemeejim715 The wall is next to the shivering sea, this is where In the latest book of A world of song of ice the ice dragons are stated to have lived around. good point though.
In "The Ice Dragon", GRRM states that ice dragons are larger and more powerful than fire breathing dragons. Whatever they touch instantly freezes and never thaws.
I like the idea of ice dragons lining up, and the air freezes around them, forming into a 700 ft tall Wall of ice.
GRRM already said that there is magic keeping the wall standing. Either way, it's going to come down in book 6.
What better way to bring it down then by watching ice dragons burst out from inside.
Radiotomb True, but I thought that books setting was different not in the ASOIAF world.
OMG what if... The wall was this huge back and torsal of a huge ice dragon ;o
And suddenly it awakens and he stands up from his sleep, destroying the wall (because he's the wall) and *crazy thoughts*
suemeejim715 A theory I like suggests there's an Ice dragon trapped in the wall. It IS the magic keeping it standing and it is the reason it seems as though it breathes and lives (the wall). As stated by Jon or Sam can't remember who. It would explain a lot. And seeing as these magical horns control dragons and the Horn of Johramun (however it's spelled) is said to bring down the wall. May be what wakes the dragon from its slumber and brings the wall down. Also the fact that Melissanda's magic is stranger at the wall may hint that there is a dragon in the wall, as dragons amplify magic exponentially. :) but It's only a theory.

in an interview George said : "there people have already guessed the secret that i'm gonna reveal in books 6 and book 2 is just out"
Now tell me he's not talking about R+L=J
Saudi gucci what does he mean by "book 2 is just out"? Book 2 has been out for many years.
Teal'c He never said when this interview was conducted ;-)
Teal'c The interview was likely just after Book 2 was released.
lukazade101 Say Whaa!!..., They must be psychic to be able to predict whats in book 6 with only book 2 being out at the time.
Teal'c R+L=J is in its basis pretty much completely based on hints from the first book.
Awesome breakdown of the theory! I'd like to add that....
Shireen's dreams of being "eaten by a dragon" support the theory of her being sacrificed to bring Jon back (which would also be a helluva better reason than the TV show gave).
Also, I don't know if you mentioned this, but "wake dragons from stone"= "wake Targaryens from the greyscale carrier"?
:)
All the greatest heroes have to die in some way in order to become the best version of themselves: Gandalf, Harry Potter, Aslan, Jesus, Odin, Osiris, the Greek heroes having to pass through the underworld. I think Jon will become the most important character following this rite of passage or "katabasis".
2015: "The next book is gonna be a helluva read"
2022: ....please... it's been 11 years...
Actually, in both books and show there is another potential alternative to the use of king's blood to resurrect Jon: Melisandre herself. If you believe the theory that Bloodraven + Shiera Seastar = Melony/Melisandre, then Mel DEFINITELY has kingsblood. Moreover, that would also tie into the "bleeding star" portion of the Azor Ahai prophecy, especially if her surname is Seastar like her mother. Melisandre is the Red Star.
Also, do you think "Jon" is even his real birth name? GRRM has said that "Jon" is the name Ned gave him. I heard a cool theory on Radio Westeros that his real name is Aemon Targaryen.
What
nick koch
Yes?
Sofia Alarcon Wow, that's actually interesting. Who could tell Jon his real name though? And is Jon like an acronym for his real name? So much cliffhangers, a man needs S06 and/or The Winds of Winter!
***** There's no direct evidence for what Jon's real name is, but we can speculate on it based on what could possibly be literary references and symbolism here and there. I would go into it here, but I don't think I could explain it half as well as Radio Westeros did. So I recommend you go to their site and check out their episode on Jon Snow, as well as their other episodes, because they are awesome.
As for why Ned chose the name "Jon", it's likely that he named him after Jon Arryn. It could have symbolic meaning to him. This is from Reddit:
"Ned's relationship to Arryn parallels the relationship he feels with Snow. Jon Arryn raised Ned like a son even though he was not. Furthermore, when the king (Aerys) called for Ned's head, Lord Arryn raised his banners in rebellion and defied the king to save him. No doubt Ned is defying Robert by hiding the Targaryen's claim to the throne."
Sofia Alarcon Thanks! I'll check them out (:

You were on the money with this one dude
Not only was he right about the stuff that has already happened, but I also think he is right about other parts of the video that haven't even happened yet on the show.
For example, just like he said in this video, I have always been convinced that at the end, Jon is going to plunge his sword into Melisandre and it will create Lightbringer. After all, she already confirmed in her last scene that she "has to die in this strange place" or something like that when she spoke with Varys. My guess is she knows that she must sacrifice herself to him. Not to mention, when Jon found out about Shireen's death, he told Mel to leave and if he sees her again then he will kill her. That seems to be foreshadowing...
Any one here coming back after today's "Home" episode.... Alt Shift X... you rock

I think you would've been a nice replacement for Bloodraven, Lord Alt Shift X because you freaking CALLED IT!
Wait, has Thoros ever had to "pay" for resurrecting Beric Dondarrion? If I remember correctly, all he's ever done was use the prayer and he's been able to resurrect Dondarrion a bunch of times.
Beric was resurrected immediately after he died though.
***** Maybe Theon should get an appointment with one of these red priests...
paul bulimar Only death can pay for sex?
akrybion Haha. Worth it.
***** I think it did take a lot out of Thoros to do that. In Mel's chapter we see how much of a toll her magic is taking on her but she does her best to hide it.
These videos are amazing. Not only do you succinctly make your points with great visual aids but you back your shit up with citations. Not only that but your ideas about how things can go are just... good. I hope most of these theories come true.
How has nobody pointed out that Melisandre burns Shireen "to clear the snow" - clear the Snow perhaps?
I say R'hllor intended for her to burn Shireen in order for the fire to melt the Snow. leaving Jon Targaryen. I say she doesn't actively resurrect Jon, as we have no indication that Melisandre is aware of the ability to resurrect people. Instead I think they will burn Jon on a funeral pyre, and he will then rise from the flames (akin to Daenerys in S01E10), even to Melisandre surprise. I both hope and predict this.
3 years later, that’s a good theory man. Really really hope that happens
Imagine Jon resurrected with silver Targaryen hair. That would be awesome.
And gaining a pair of red eyes, making him a spit image of BloodRaven!

I like somewhat not knowing what will happen until it happens, but theorizing is so much fun. This is the most intelligent interpretation and educated guess about what will happen that I have listened to so far. Will be interesting to see how it plays out compared to these ideas.
Your videos are hands down the best analysis of ASOIAF/GoT I've ever seen! Keep it up!
I may be completely wrong but in the first season when Bran is in a coma, Isn't he brought back when Ned kills Sansa's Dire wolf? Again I haven't watched the season for a while but i'm sure i remember that happening...
JammieDavz I think I remember something like that happening. When Ned kills sansas direwolf it immediately cuts to Bran waking up.
I Uptown Funked You Up I thought that happened. Could just be pure coincidence that it cuts to him waking up...
asoiaf theorists do not believe in coincidences.
+Virtual|Reality exactly
+JammieDavz | Fifa Skiller It seems simpler to suggest that Bran was just awoken when it died since Bran has a deeper connection to the wolves because of his warging.
Just like the rest of your videos, this one is first class. Can't wait to see what's next!
Alt Shift X (2:43): "Surely you don't have an awesome stand off like this only to not have a payoff later on."
D&D: "If you think this has a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention."
I can only say, CONGRATS, for your work ,time and nice way to explain ! Sweet !
In the show, could it be that the burning of Shireen was actually to clear the way back to Castle Black for Melisandre ?
Also, I think Theon will be the sacrifice to bring Jon back, he has king's blood since Balon is king of the Iron Islands and it could serve as atonement for his betrayal of the Starks.
Giglioti Good point I like it
Giglioti nope theon has bigger fish to fry in iron islands...
logesh palani In the books, I agree but in the show seems unlikely
Giglioti I'm all for the Theon theory. There is no way Shireen is the sacrifice that brings Jon back. I don't see the Lord of Light accepting the blood of an innocent unless they volunteer themselves for that sacrifice. The point is made when Stannis loses everything for doing it.
Giglioti but they are adding the greyjoy uncles next season...
And technically if R+L=J is true, he would have a stronger claim than Dany. As him being born of the first son of a Targaryen ruler his living lineage would have claim before Dany.
Watching this now, this video was golden but almost no one could know ! Very good job :)
Great video. I just paused it at 10:13 to say that I've been watching every, "Jon Snow will return," video I can find, and this one is already the best. I have been thinking that Jon must learn of his parentage before or at the very moment of his resurrection, because having him come back to life as plain old Jon Snow, and allowing *any* time to go by before revealing his parentage, would be devastatingly anticlimactic. He must be Jon Targaryen, at the moment he opens his eyes. Even having him learn who his parents are, later in the same episode in which he's brought back, would be clunky, unbelievable and just kind of stupid lol.
Man I admire how much effort you put into editing your videos, it must be a pain! bravo its appreciated
Even thinking about going out and buying WINDS i get a warm feeling in my belly
Love, love, LOVE your insights. They really wrap these loose threads up nicely and compromise none of the established themes.
Thanks a lot for your vision … it sounds great!
My only problem with Shireen getting burned for Jon's resurrection (and I'm speaking of the books, here, since we've passed this in the show) is that Thoros is able to bring Beric back time and again without a sacrifice.
The last kiss doesn't necessarily work because it brings back only a part of your soul back, we know that being a wight is not the best second life you can have (the Army of The Dead, Beric and Lady Stoneheart are there to proof) so Mel might use something more potent to fully ressurect Jon's body A.K.A King's Blood via Shireen and possibly Theon if Stannis execute him!
@@PedroLucas-mg5je Maybe so, but I've wondered if something might be different with Jon's resurrection since he can warg - if his essence goes into his wolf, and she brings his body back, would his full essence just return?
@@cruddddddddddddddd Maybe his essence would be more wolfish and can have some sort of the sixth sense that the direwolves had, like sensing if a person is trustworthy or not (like how Grey Wind and Lady Felt that the Freys and Joffrey weren't trustworthy) and his post-resurrection appearance could be similar to Ghost, white hair and red eyes!
My Theory for the books, (since show fucked this up.) Stannis defeats the Boltons and claims Winterfell. After he hears of Jon's death he declares him a true Stark (like he had offered Jon before) and has his body brought to Winterfell to lay in the Crypts with the other Starks. Meanwhile he has Theon captured at Winterfell, somehow Lady Stoneheart hears of this and heads to Winterfell to kill him ( she thinks he killed Bran and Rickon) She will be well accepted there due to melisandre, since she rides with the red priest. There Stannis will let her execute Theon since he planned on doing it anyway (Whether she kills Theon or doesn't effect the main theory), and she will discover Jon is dead. In an ironic twist she will give Jon the kiss of life, trading her life for the boy she despised and hated.
You are not as peppy as the other youtube reviewers, or as "exciting", but you are MASTERFUL. Your insights are almost scientific due to the way you present evidence and several levesl above the competition. Wish I had found you a LOT earlier. Thank you for your work.
THANK YOU Alt Shift X!!!!
I just watched s5 ep10 and after much disbelief and a few tears you just gave me hope that GoT's best character isn't dead.
Just a heads up, the description displays in the subscription field, so that's a pretty hardcore spoiler visible without even clicking the video.
love_otter Those aren't requirements, those were just things the original Azor Ahai did to bring about Lightbringer that didn't work. I don't think they're necessities to the prophecy.
I think you're responding to the wrong comment, bro.
When I posted it, I had linked to the right one, then I saw this and my shame came into being.
Shame. *dingding*
Why would you sub and not expect spoilers?
Jon Snow is not coming back. Jon Targaryen tho is probably coming back....or Jon Stark.
+Nikolay Nenov Dobre be moi :D
+Nikolay Nenov i agree i think thats what all the producers mean when they say jon snow isn't coming back
Jon Starkaryen
LOL !!!!
Jon Kardashyen
I really enjoy your videos. They are well put together and thought out really well. Subbed.
Another superb video from altshiftx :)
Actually Ser Pounce is Azor Ahai, but nice try m8
If George R.R. Martin doesn't resurrect Jon Snow in the upcoming books and in turn the show, then he's a complete fool. In my opinion Jon Snow has more of the end game story on his shoulders than anyone else at this point. Everyone including Daenerys, seem to be more worried about ruling the world, birthrights and lust for power while Jon Snow is on the front lines of the War for the Dawn which is the true threat. He's just too important a character to kill off at this point. If George kills off Jon Snow who seems to be the only symbol of selflessness, honor and justice left then whats the point of reading the rest of the story? Imho, Daenerys and Jon Snow are the two pillars holding the story up and if one falls the whole thing crumbles. Show me one character who can replace Jon Snow that anyone would be happy with, I don't think there will be many recommendations if any. The R+L=J theory has to come into play. I think if he learns hes a Targaryen, a legit Targaryen and not a River then he will seek out Daenerys not only because shes his sister but also because hes going to want to get as many people possible ready for the White Walker invasion and he would be in a perfect position to bring the Wildlings to her side. That's a good chunk of people to get the ball rolling towards end game. If Jon Snow is resurrected I hope its done by Thoros of Myr and not Melisandre because she sucks and Thoros seemed like a much cooler character. Maybe Lady Stoneheart sends Thoros after hearing of Jon's death or maybe Melisandre sends for Thoros personally considering he brought Beric back to life 6 times. There's so many possible resurrection scenarios for Snow, but more than likely it will involve a red priest or priestess. Whatever happens Jon Snow has to comeback otherwise the story wont be the same and not in a good way. Sorry for the rant.
ChillinCT Don't worry, he's hinted in interviews that Jon will return.
Jon is danaerys' nephew. rhaegar is her brother and jons dad.
+ChillinCT Don't be disappointed if he doesn't come back in Season 6 though. I'd prefer they bring him back then but he's not been casted. Of course they could be lying. Either way we'll definitely have our lovely Jon back by season 7.
Truly excellent, thanks mate, you do a great job withe your analytic approach to GoT. Keep them coming :)
Love your theories so much man, I'm really hoping this happens in twow.
"Surely you don't have an awesome stand off like this without without payoff later on" 😫
Also, Jon’s wound was smoking when he was stabbed, and Marsh was crying. If Jon is Rheagers son, then it fits. Marsh tears=Salt. Smoke=smoking wound. Kings blood=Jon’s wound.
It was steaming because his blood is hot and the wall is really cold.
@@hoked2194 true, good point, but the overall theme and symbolism still works imo.
I love these. They make so much sense
these theories of yours are pretty damn accurate to what I would expect to come on the next book
Melisandre is such an interesting character
hope youre right, jon is my favourite character
thanks, that will clear the idea, very nice analysis on what would be the life of john snow to upcoming S6 of the GoT
Good research and awesome presentation. love your videos.
