I'd love to see it with the jet engine sounds.
Unfortunately the uploaded decided that we'd much rather hear terribly bad music instead.
you will only hear nothing but rumbling sound because of the mic is exposed to the outside and the wind is terrible thus blocking any other sound.
an indoor footage (or better) ground recorded footage is better for engine sound
that's why they put the music instead
FFFFFFFFFFFFFF
Is it not the real sound?
Some plane have cameras installed already that you can view on the IFE (In Flight Entertainment) screen. Cathy Pacific had the external camera on 1 of their 3 planes I flew on. Watching the sun set over the sea as you come to land in Hong Kong was just as amazing as watching a rolling blackout wave across the city!!! Small addition that made the flight so memorable!!!
JAL services out of SFO has on their 747, too.
I forget what airline but I do remember seeing a video where the plane had a camera in the tail.
B747-200? old but gold!
Music 🎶 fits perfectly i love it
Edit (after 1 year) no like 😢
I like It 😊
@@the_3inpro658 , Well that's one vote. Over 1.4 million views. Looks like most people hate this music.
by any chance do you have the video that existed before you added the "music" rather hear the plane sounds. if you can put that up i for one would like to see one.
Such catchy lyrics to that song.
1:05 When I looked at the terminal I was like, "Oh man, those are lots of B-747s."
That was such a smooth landing =D
Rather than me, who else muted and watched this video? 😇
@@leoja4578 The music is good but the repetitious vocals became very annoying, very quickly..
Not me,I like the song as its relevant to something that errmm... flies around the world..They won't get any audio from the camera with wind at 300 MPH or more blowing around the microphone (even if it's in a case),so for me this is better than silence!
I did
I would rather hear the natural engine noise instead of that annoying "music".
Stated a 747-200F then stated a 380???
The original Video was made by Balleka who flew the 747 of MK-Airlines as a pilot. I often loaded up Gliding Videos on his channel. But he crashed in last December with his glider and died.
Carl Vogt is this true, in that he died?
One of the best airplane video's on the web!
Around The World - Daft Punk - Homework - 1997
I love this song ❤
I am by no means an expert in aviation safety. However I am pretty sure the landing gear area is not climate controlled esp when the landing gear is down.
Considering the temperature variation that a landing gear experiences in a given landing and take off, I am surprised that the camera didn't fall from the assembly of some basic plastic ties, either on someone on the ground while the aircraft was flying or even worse, the camera fell on the runway and didn't get stuck under some other jet's landing gear and damaging the aircraft or even worse, a crash.
I am surprised he didn't get arrested for this lack of thoughtfulness.
The camera could have been a built in one to the gear to check if all gear deployed properly.
the guy zip ties the camera to the nose wheel according to the video
Dexter R Ahh didn't see that, kinda skipped over that haha.
Exactly what first came to my mind when I saw those cable-ty thingy's !! Remember how the Air-France Concorde crashed back in 2000 ?!!! It was because of some debris that fell off another airplane.....
This "mechanic" must be fired asap !!!
Awesome video :) love the song
Thanks for posting this video. I work at BWI Airport in Baltimore, MD and watch aircraft takeoff and land all day. This is the first time I've seen it happen from this view. Spectacular!
The best CZcams video by far!!! Thanks, give us more of these!!
I like the part where they say around the world.
Nice video!
But therefore you have to be a pilot right?!
sadly yes...
great vid, but can't you get in trouble for mounting that camera? just wondering
One of the best videos yet!!!
Music ruined the video
jade david judge tom berate
I love the music 🎶
jade david agreed! That stupid, horrible computer voice repetitively saying 'around the world around the world'...WTF.
I watched it on mute. I'd rather of heard the engine sound than that cheap techno cack !
Isn't its dangerous for nose gear
no
For you guys wondering about the "jelly" shake effect like at 2:40 it's because of the rolling shutter effect (google it). The way you can tell it's rolling shutter because the image is actually distorting not just shaking.
Great Video...
So did you need permision for that?? Why did the nose wheel retract on its own way before the mains ?
Thanks
FAA and IATA Approved!
With no added rBST! And caffeine-free, with Nutra-Sweet!
Good hell with the so called music! Ruined a cool vid
+fly “flywayne61” wayne Agreed. The "music" is terrible.
+fly “flywayne61” wayne I wonder whats the song's title is......
+fly “flywayne61” wayne Turn the volume off...solved!
David Horgan mmmmmm that's a hard one, let me think...... something about going straight through a football camp?
Was the camera remotely activated ?
If not what kind of battery did you use ?
Love this video. Do you work for the airline? how did you get access to the people to let you do this?
Cool video. Very annoying music! Would have been a lot better to hear the aircraft engines.
I don't think this is legal..
Fantastic, thanks for filming, editing and posting. JP
@ghlove0317 i think using the alternate extension system which make the nose gear by falling by its own weight there are switches to select only a precise gear (5 switches)
People of the internets... I hope you realised that he put to music in to get rid of the sound of wind which at that height and speed would be pretty F*****g dreadful!
reverse thrust that would have been even worse. A completely mute video? Yeah, no.
Stormycat77 that would ear everyone's ears
1080p Aviation I personally agree, the original audio would be awful, and a completely silent video would drive me crazy.
Another few minutes...... I had ALMOST learned the lyrics to the background song, then then stupid video finished!!!! Grrrrr..........
@twoaxis The gear has a speed extension limit of 270 knots, not lowered til on Final Approach.
Loved the music
1:05 air france a 380?
Yes, they own A380:s
Pop0n01 where is it?
At 1:06 to the left of the main landing gear, in about the middle of the turn ;)
i found a 747 lying around.. unfortunately can't find a cam :C
I got $20 to chip in for fuel...
Great! But how do you get your camera back?
@b58f18
yeah, youre prolly right, the speed limit for nose gear deployment is 270kn,
nontheless its very hard to estimate heights, even more if it is done with a camera...
for guessing height correctly you need a lot of practice, im noticing that everytime i fly...
AROUND THE WORLD
_(plugs nose and sings)_ "Around the world, a-round the wor-ruld! Around the world, a-round the wor-ruld! Around the world, a-round the wor-ruld! Around the world, a-round the wor-ruld! @@SenorSpode Around the world X 1000
Another great aviation video spoiled by terrible music. Gosh, this song is annoying!
For real around the world around the world that got annoying
Yeah, I mean the sound of wind at 200kts is so much more pleasing.
In this case... yes
Murilo Gazoli lol
Murilo Gazoli you people are rude geez so what if he likes to put it in yutub
how did you get those shot at the begining ? did the nose gear deployed while the main gear is retracted ?
Thats an interesting point of view, u can see how the flaps extend, they are bigger than i thought, awesome vid.
CRAP MUSIC
Turn the stupid music off
-music-
Whoever published the music was certainly creative...
One of the greatest video of all time I never seen one like it it's base on the setting if the first landing gear shows up before the rear.... Diff airline diff. Setting.. Keep it up thanks
goodgod thats the most irritating song ever recorded.
You've obviously never heard of Justin Beiber xD
Evan Simon Sha-ZING!
Evan Simon
xD
WORST. MUSIC. EVER.
Did you just put town the nose gear during flight?
muy pero muy buen video.. te felicito
does the faa allow that i think mounting requires faa certification
Great Footage! For all who ask themselves how this song is called. It's 'Around the world' by Daft Punk
The music is great, I love Daft Punk. Awesome footage as well!
love this song and Swiss 747!
Aamzing!!! The queen of sky
@bennzy48 Are you talking about landing this acft on the nose gear only ?????????
Some do! I was on Cathay Pacific last year and they had a camera under the plane and you could watch the footage from the t.v. on the seat in front of you. It was so awesome :)
awesome vid and sound track but how did you get away with that?
Great video. Well done and if you can find any other jets just sitting around, do video's of them too please.
what was the maximum altitude you were cruising? was the consumption noticably higher?
great work
Those jt9d's look awesome
Brilliant! And I actually enjoyed the music. Cheers.
.....Is the accompanying music to this video called "Around the World" by any chance??
That's just crazy!! Best landing view I've ever seen :P Something it's impossible to witness first hand :D
What airport did the plane take off from?
in 747's (probably other types as well) you can extend landing gear manually, separately (say there is a problem with the hydraulics or electric system that drive them) so you can basically extend only the nose gear first, and the rest of the landing gear will extend when you set the lever to the "extend" position
Yes,and also it is superb seeing the plane landing.
great video. but, does airlines or the transportation safety board allow mounting of foreign objects to a commercial aircraft???
Awesome video like the A380
Great landing, Right on the center line.
Great video. Don't GoPro make a B747 nose wheel camera mount !!??
How could anyone dis-like this?
Awesome video! Why was the nose gear down in-flight though?
Awsome video dude.
How do you just "opened" the nose gear at 2:30?
Have you bin the PIC or FO of this Plane?
Awesome video
How long before landing or at what altitude landing gears both nose and belly are lowered? This one had nose gear down long before others.
+Qantas747400 Regular Of infinite flight thank you for the info 👍✌️
@hoku51
but at 2:25 it was for sure not in final approach, so i guess the drag is noticable is a loss of speed at the same throttle configuration
Great video!
Cool video, I'd be curious to know which airports this recorded 747 took off from and landed in.
That was an awsome landing
woow...very interesting.thanks for the grate work.
What a view..! Wonderful.. Liked..!
Excelente video. Parabéns!!! Congratulations!!!
the battery lasted a full flight?
great video
How long does your camera go for?
neat video perspective
Awesome, I love this video :o) .. and am a fan of Daft Punk too ;o), so good choice !
where did yall land at? and take off from?
Cool to see the camera survived the pressure and temperature differences :D
this is the coolest video on youtube - around the world, around the world...
Where about in SA you from??
@ pilotman322 The Boeing 747 is designed to be able to land using the front gear only. I assume that individual switches are available for each gear the but 747 also has a manual pump for activating the front gear in case of failure, located somewhere near the staircase on the -200 I believe.
That was freaking awesome!!!
A number of airliners today - the A380 for one, offer tail cameras. Mounted in the vertical stabilizer, facing forward. But these are used primarily as ground navigational aids for pilots, and for passenger amusement.
Wow this is amazing!!!
