- American Airlines Flight 49 CDG to DFW Boeing 772 video was taken from seat 2A in First Class. The morning started in Paris CDG with heavy rain and thunderstorms, luckily the flight was on-time to Dallas DFW!
Pay special attention to the wing flex as we climb out at an extraordinarily steep angle and turn up your speakers as the Trent engine serenades you at FULL POWER.
By far the most intense take off I've ever experienced!!!
Engines so powerful, they create their own weather.
Lol
😂
RellyOhBoy haha intense!
RellyOhBoy they break the sound barrier sometimes
117 thousand horsepower
God, I love flying! It never ceases to amaze me that the science of airflow over a pair of wings allows the massive weight of an aircraft to leave the ground, yet we do it thousands of times every day!!!! As a physics major in college, I was always in awe of the multi-story aircraft at the gateside terminals at TIA. I could not fully comprehend how they could get these massive machines off the ground, but yet the did. I love to stand on the roof of that airport and watch the flights come and go. It is always a special moment for me.
Exactly. It amazes me every time
I feel you brother. This is exactly why I became a mechanical engineer. I just had to know what makes these huge beasts fly, and when you understand how, it just keeps amazing you.
The key is to come to the realization how dense Earth's atmosphere actually is. How much pressure it is. We're naturally adapted to it, but it's quite the thick gas soup, so to speak.
Wind tunnel studies with cars can probably help. Getting an idea of how much resistance is presented there.
But also pondering the fact that some military planes fly so fast that the air flow heats up the plane surface to problematic temperatures, where you would assume air flow cools.
Yes, it boggles my mind every time I fly. It’s so amazing!
Keep strong bro 💪💪

I wonder why this sounds a bit weird

@@Dowlphin It's meant as thrust from a jet engine dumb ass, get your mind out of the gutter...
The moment the engine starts the roar for the runway, is the moment people that hate flying go "Fuck, there's no turning back now"
Well…………not just yet, as there are always rejected takeoffs for emergency reasons.
lol so true!😄
Just love the full throttle feel and acceleration when taking off, best part of the flight!
I agree dud
F planes
I had the pleasure of flying a British Airways 777 out of Seattle to London in March, 2015. We weren't even halfway down the runway when our wheels were off the ground. When they throttle this sucker up, you are up and off the ground in half the time it takes other airliners to get there. This is one powerful beast!
Well, you're right, this is literally a sucker.
Yeah.It travelled down the runway pretty fast.
Oh that's because of the huge wing and powerful engines to get it it up to flying speed fast
@@blastermaster2383 my friend fly's for American and is a 777 pilot..he told me between 165 to 175 mph is when they start coming up..climbs out at 200knots and gaining speed fast ..it's a bad sob
james woody nothing is better than a 757
sounds like the fan on my laptop.
I wish it was my computer it would sound cool
i will think about that
:P
***** I wouldn't want a plane to be as silent as my damn good amd graphics card, it would ruin the experience, it would be like driving an electric car on a race track.
It's time for people to let aside the fanboysm and appreciate the stuff for what it is rather than who made it.
***** "flight attendants, prepare for takeoff"
+michael del zitti Not only your :D
1:22 I love it. Goosebumps.
I love when they turn onto the active and just gun them engines.
Same!
1:22 the only thing which I like when flying. Full power on the engines at the start of the runway.
same
I also like hard breakings
@@naturesaver599 A sound of relief :)
My mother would do the Lone Ranger theme (William Tell Overture) during takeoff.
That sudden engine noise change would be scary if u didn't know
Agreed. I've noticed that on a flight or two and been like "are we gonna die?....never mind, just adjusting the engines lol"
Emily Levy just feathering out the throttle
I know right! Thought we'd just encountered an engine failure
big worm Turbofans don’t ‘feather’. It’s just the climb performance adjusting the TOGA rate.
Failure to pull back will result in an immediate over speed. Gotta keep her under 250 knots while still under 10k feet. Can't run the risk of shattering windows on buildings/houses and super duper FAA fines. I too thought it was scary thinking the same thing lol
"What are you doing with your phone on?"
"6.1 million people want to know what these engines sound like."
Gotta love all the power. Look at the wing flex upward from the force of the wind against the underside of the wing.
Not the wind...what you are seeing is the lift being generated by the airfoil.
I meant fast moving air. Actually you have the air moving much faster over the wing creating lower pressure above it, which in turn allows the air striking under the wing at the same time to be able to push the wing upward toward the lower pressure area. So the airflow striking the underside creating higher pressure is pushing upwards. Higher pressure below the wing, and lower above, allows the wing to push upward. You can see this effect if you watch planes coming in for a landing with a good nose up pitch, the wings are loaded from all the fast moving air striking the underside pushing them up, but of course this cannot occur without the lower pressure area above the wing. You cannot have one without the other. They work together.
electronicsNmore Yes you can. A completely flat object has no airfoil, but can still flex when the aoa is high. The air striking the underside has little effect on the amount of lift generated, it is the airfoil that does most of that. Airfoils are based on Bernoulli's principle If you want to look it up
What I meant, is in order for the wing to move upwards, you need high pressure below, and low above. You cannot have one without the other UNLESS the wing is completely flat(which they are not).
Ah okay, I thought you meant the wing had to have a high angle of attack for an airfoil to work at all. What you say now makes sense.
It’s not the fear of flying that gets me it’s the adrenaline, For me try adrenaline comes as soon as I’ve passed through security. I love it

The 777 has that distinctive whine to the engine
+Lee Taylor ikr
+Lee Taylor This one does because it's RR powered.
+Lee Taylor Those engines on any other plane would sound just the same. Other planes sound just the same when their engines spool up.
I live near Orlando interntaional airport almost underneath a flight path (its a little west and east lol) and that whine gets to me every time I hear it I love it 😍😂
RR engines in particular have that whining sound.
DAMN!! I was in my studying chair watching this clip. I thought I was in the plane, almost slept away.
Love how the pilots increased engine power. Amazing sound of the turbofan blades slicing the air like massive blenders. Best video i have ever seen in aviation. Boeing 777's are one of my favourite planes.
So awesome ! I've been flying to different cities and the same ones for 35 years.. I STILL look out the window at every take off and landing in awe.
2:40 I’d freak out if I heard that 💀
@@Sean13311 It's also so they can climb more economically, without wasting fuel. That, and it reduces noise over populated areas slightly.
Great footage! Thanks for taking us along.
This is absolutely beautiful. It actually got a little emotional when you got above the clouds! Thanks for uploading this video.
whoa that was so intense I almost fell outta my chair lol
Lol its a rutined takeoff
Ok cool
did you shart
Oh baby......that grunt when they reduced power on the Trents was AWESOME! There is no better sound in the world than a turbofan engine singing in all its glory!
Awesome footage, felt like I was there as well. Great sound of the engine, great ground view, and flying through the clouds.👍✌
That's one of my favorite things about flying, breaking through the clouds during takeoff or landing! Greatness!
When you hear this it’s the best feeling
Yessss fAxxxxx
sounds eye wateringly beautiful on amped 598. thanks for taking the vid and putting it up.
One of my favorite sensations, takeoffs and landings are so cool.
Watched this video over 20 times probably! This Trent 800 take off is all worth it. Makes them my favourite engines of all time. Long live the Trents!
+CenturyHornet-TorontoPearsonAviation Boo, go GE-90!
Nope, never. They can't even give off a growl like this.
+CenturyHornet-TorontoPearsonAviation Say what you want, but for a kitchen appliance company I'd say the GE-90 is one of the best in the world. It's engine form is so circular and nice... with a smooth sound.
You told us to turn up the volume....so I did...
I will now send you my medical charges for perforated eardrums...

Love the sound! Thanks for sharing. Cheers from Hamburg
Oh man those engines😍
That moments are one part why I love flying... It's just... Feel the force!
This is proper sick!! Nice one man! LOL the engine sound is killing me though!
I got a shot of the Boeing 777 landing in Antigua
Love the sound of those engines. Awesome!! Thank you.

An everyday absolute miracle. Thanks.
Loved it! Thank you!
2:00 almost sounded like a REJECTED Takeoff
love that monster sound of the 777 engines :-D
Awesome vid. Love the feeling of taking off.
really like this guys video recording...his sound is so clear and less shakey
You gotta love a Boeing.
Truee
sure we do ...... !!!!!!!!
Or, in this case Rolls Royce.
If it aint a boeing I aint going😐
GE90 GOOOOOOOOOO
I like flying I just came back from Australia my favourite part is when plane starts taking off.
Great vid! Cool shots!
Great video, one of the best!
does anyone else love the feeling when they are speeding down the runway during takeoff? :)
I love it too 😁
no i shit myself lol
00:45 why is there a random water bottle chilling there
...lol
Chris Brant lmao it’s not a water bottle
Its a border light

Great video and amazing engine sound!
I love flying, it does some serious stuff to my ears during descent and I’m always terrified when I first get on, but I just love it
I can just imagine the inferno of moving blades and burning fuel inside that engine....and the 1000 km/h blast of superheated air roaring out the back....
+milesmouse72 Comments like yours make me think that videos like this one serve to satisfy some sort of airplane engine fetish
airplane engine fetish??? LOLOLOL that's awesome!!! I'll tell my pilot buddies about that....and yes, I may not fetishize engines, but I sure like them. Watch the B36 peacemaker takeoff from the movie SAC from the 60s. Now that is a sound that could make noise and engine fetishists happy..
You made my day bud, thanks!!
I keep coming back for the sound of those RR Trents doing their "slight throttle back"....that glorious sound.......positively "Nerdgasm" inducing...!!! :-)
This is porn for an aviation nerd like me lmao

so intense bro, so intense
Lol
I could almost feel the accelleration. In 1999 I flew Lufthansa 747-400 FRA/IAH with intermediate stop in ATL. Change of crew in ATL, and almost passengers disembarked. For the run down to IAH, I was one of only two in First Class; there were two in Business and about 10 in Coach. Very light fuel and cargo for the short hop. The pilot put the pedal to the metal, and it felt as though we rolled only about 10 feet before shooting into the air. The power and acceleration were breathtaking!
Great video! First class must have been nice!
The power of Rolls Royce Trent engine with amazing thrust

Enormous power !❤️🔥
Me trying to relive the holiday excitement because of Covid
very good, and you had the perfect seat! and lots of condensation too, love it.

I'm a 777 pilot. Those are GE90s.They have composite blades. Takeoff power is calculated by weight and runway length. Depending on witch model, GE90s have between 90,000 and 112,000 lbs of thrust. Much more than needed even at MTOW in bad conditions. Remember just one of these engines can fly the plane at altitude. No pilot will waste fuel on takeoff unnecessarily. Also the less throttle used on takeoff reduces the risk of FOD intake. I watched 777 test pilots do a 60 degree climb out with full fuel load at 60 percent throttle on a 180 kn rotate. That's all engines just like back when I would do 90 degree climbs off the deck in an F-18.. Those were the days
Roll Royce Trent 800 sir, at the time of this video AA didn't carry any 777's with the GE90..
Witch model??!! Another genius passes the USA pilot application paper. It's like everything on the flight was OK until things went wrong. Sloppy shit. Sloppy brain. Lazy detail. Lazy standard.
I suspect Michael Holley is a 777 pilot on Flight Sim with that information...
In a way you are correct. T/O thrust is calculated by weight and rwy length, but also conditions. the rain, and wet rwy played a role. Who knows there could have been a wind shear on T/O so they used full thrust to overcome that.
also, pilots by airline standard and pretty much aviation standard take off at about 80% N1. it's not about wasting fuel. (you calculate all that during the brief and add the extra fuel to make up for it) its about preserving and protecting the engine. If you use max thrust every take off you would reduce the life expectancy of the engine as well as the reliability of the engine in air. Using reduced thrust (80%) for take off and at about 1500ft reduce even further to climb thrust (60%) the plane has more than enough power to propel itself into the air with slow acceleration.
I think N1 will be much higher than 60% and 80% for climb and takeoff, even in de-rated performance conditions, remember thrust is not linear to the N1 setting.
Great video!
Great vid! As if I was actually in the seat watching this.
This is my favorite plane!! Freakin love everything about it!!!
yeah me to i also love there stealth ability where they disappear off the fucking radar! isnt it great?
It is a remarkable plane.
Jolly Jammer*their ...But I love your comment it's hilarious! I do really hope they find it though... Everyone in the world is anxious to hear what happened to it, and rightfully so!
***** Yes indeed!!
yeah me too.... i really hope they find it...
I could listen to that for 13 hours while supping on a cold one.
AMAZING TAKEOFF | Best engine sound ever heard on the Boeing 777.
Excellent videos. Subbed :)
Looked like a very normal take-off to me...
Because it was
Love the power at 1:20
Very distinctive the sound of those Trent RR engines, just the feeling of raw power.
This is the best takeoff video yet
I don't care what anybody says Rolls Royce Jet Engines always produce the greatest sounds and prefer them to General Electric.
If U use additional speakers, RR Trent Engines are way louder than GE engines.
If you use phone or laptop speaker, GE win it.
Electric? Wtf?
@@ramirocasco5167 GE is a company
I actually find it cool how much people know about planes haha
+Allison Neuman - Most try to sound a lot more knowledgeable tan they really are. It's a bit like those airport observation decks, before they were all closed. You could always spot at least a couple of them talking loudly, "explaining" stuff that was mostly just just plain wrong. They seemed to have all moved to CZcams.
+corisco tupi Yeah and I bet you're a captain with a major airline. Don't even answer, I won't believe a word you say.
kissklassics No, not a captain with a major airline, I don't enjoy bus-driving for others - I fly for my own amusement, have been doing so for over 30 years, probably before you started breathing, LOL.
just throwing it out there but piloting a $375,000,000 flying house with hundreds of lives in your hands is not comparable to driving a bus or even the act of moving people from point A to B...sorry old man
I never tire of that sound and the rush!!!
very beneficial during COVID lockdown. When I put on my headphones with full volume, it feels really like amn inflight experience. Enjoyed during lockdown tooo!!!!!
Video still going strong 💪. This my favorite!!!
Music for my ears
Thanks to show this video
Listen to the humming of that engine! The amount of work it's doing is amazing!
I've always wanted to sit in the front of the plane to see the turning engine blades.
i did once on an a319 lol
AVERAGE DOG I actually did sit in the front of a plane one time, but I couldn't see the engine because it was night time.
FastCarsNoRules220 ahhh so fustrwting
I meant the front row seats inside of the plane, not sitting outside in front of the engine :P
***** what?
1:18 your welcome!
It's just a perfectly normal take off! Very nice video I must say.
Beautiful Take Off! Nice Catch Btw!
*hyperventilating**
you good bro?
0:00 That engine sound is bone-chilling. . . At first, I thought it was a tornado siren.
To me it sounds like a jedi starfighter
Amazing !! :) I subbed my friend !
Still amazes me to this day how these huge aircraft get off the ground and fly in such a graceful manner. Aviation is a wonderful thing.
Sounds like the compressor on a 20 year old A/C unit as it does it's thing on a 90°F day. More used to turbofans that do the whistle thing, and not as loud.
agree. You stole my words.I was going to comment the same.
Yea, take off is my absolute favorite part when riding a plane :D
Love these is it just me but I love the window seat and front row view when landing, I have loads of these videos
Love the 777-300ER. It takes me around to the other side of the world. Ultra-long haul over one of the Polar Great Circle routes.... but worth it to get to the Asian tropics. Thank you Boeing. Thank you also Airbus A-320 for shorter flights.
I can't believe how powerful and reliable jet engines are.
THAT SURE WAS INTENSE :-)
and climbing FAST!!
***** Yeah, that was so crazy, I have not seen anything like that. The airplane got so much air!!
LOVE this sound !!
Gotta love that sound as the jet lifts off!
wow I got the same anxiety I get when I'm really flying
I love long take offs. It feels amazing. If it's too short it's anticlimactic 😂. Some planes are on the ground for 5 seconds then take off.
But if it's a short runway you feel the excitement of whether it'll takeoff with less runway or takeoff with all of the runway
Fantastic................thanks for sharing.
FANTASTICO !! A lot of engines condens and a lot off power man wowww lovely sount
