Hey nice to see you back frank
I won't get one of those the price alone puts me off there is too.many input that I won't use I prefer something plain and simple I'll keep with my yamaha rs202d amp
I have an arylic B50... that is the 'smaller' version of this amp. Its similar in size but it has a few less features such as not being able to stream directly from various streaming services but it does have most of the same inputs (including phono). I got it for $139 US (+ shipping) and so far I am pretty happy with it. I am using it on my secondary system so the sound it produces is good considered the speakers are older. So in my opinion no to the H50 and yes to the B50... for a third of the money, my expectations are managed a bit better.
Hope you and yours have a great weekend Frank
Awesome review Frank! Wow $399 that's a lot. That's what my Marantz NA6005 Network Player cost me and I love it. Anyways Rock On!
Looks like a solid item. And useful. Interesting…
Thanks for debunking the chi-fi myth! great video as usual, Frank! 🙂
What do you think about the sad news of Robbie Robertson passing probably one of most famous Canadian musicians among many
Robbie was able a great producer. Neil Diamond made a lot of him producing his Beautiful Noise album.
He died around or the same day as Jerry Garcia.
Robbie helped me get into pink floyd with the album Songs of the Native American.
Tripping hard on shrooms with that album is otherworldly!
Nice review Frank and I was hoping that this dinky little box was going to be the real deal....but at $399 I would expect the sound to be good quality - not for me im afraid !! keep on spinnin!!
Never saw a turntable called a "vinyl player" before. The times they are a-changin'.
Yeah, they're calling VCR's VHS players also
Blame the millennials 😂
I call My car, " A fossil fuel transporter". Millennials need to just stop! 😂
Good review on this amp, I agree it's pricey for a Class D unit with underwhelming sound quality.
Frank-fi!!!!!!!!
Great review, it would be much better though at half that price. We have been spoiled by other Chinese companies products such as Fosi’s V3 amp for $99 which sounds great. I would just add a budget streamer like a Wiim mini to that or a Project phono box and get a better sound quality plus save some money.
I have been really impressed with some of Fosi's stuff.
Not the right class D for me.
But I would think it would provide decent enough sound with a pair of well matched bookshelf speakers.
Maybe I'm just missing it, but I don't really get what they are trying to do with this. If it was cheaper it would be neat as a Swiss army knife class D amp, but for less than $400 you can buy a pretty decent class A/B AV receiver that does everything this does, and much more, and probably sounds better while pushing more wattage, while only taking up a bit more space.
50w per channel is anemic. My bookshelf speakers are rated to handle 100w rms. For $399, I expect more wattage, but that's just me.
Without tone controls, it doesn't matter how many other bells and whistles this amp has. It ain't for me.
Neat idea with all the functionality but not the price.
Yeah... the price is getting up there.
FYI: The title has a typo! It says “Acrylic.”
Thank you for letting me know. Damn auto correct.
Hi, We are a UK company with a very effective record-cleaning brush. Please can you consider accepting a sample for review?
Hi. Please send an email to channel33rpm at gmail. Thank you.
I wouldn't trust anything Made in China - even in the unlikliness that it's good. My main record player is a 50-year old English-made stereogram.
