The new televote system is so savage yet entertaining to watch! And damn they even show their reactions on the screen! Feel bad for Czechia and Malta.
Czechs were misled. Juries made them think out of nowhere that they had some special song.

Jury voting takes so long compared to public voting yet it's both 50%.
It's because they're counting the televote points while the jury points are awarded.

It's 50/50%amd it's correct this way. Why shoul the televote count more?
We must go to their Facebook or twitter acount and ask them to come back NeXT year. eks. if a jury is 10 people, this 10 people has same Power as 1000 televoters, that is not fair.
It's the same system just different method of announcing the points always 50/50 whichnis fair...there might be disparity but there is bloc voting on all sides of this prism..... Sweden was in the odds because of the people we still got decent points, so it's not like it was hated...... According to the people (public) that were placing the bets siding the betting odds then Sweden was high ranked during the whole 2 weeks+ ..... It fell in the last few days that's all.... I'm happy for Netherlands...wasn't my tipped winner..... But it's nice to be going somewhere different next yr....

Too much discrepancy between jury's votes and televotes in this year.
And neither of their winners is the competition's winner or even first runner-up. Strange.
And Norway and Italy should get some spotlight at the end, not Sweden.
That´s every year. Juries like the well produced neat and tidy, televoters love the crazy and the over the top. That is why we need both.
Both is a great balance... best song won! polls and bettings were in the end correct. The music this time, not the circus, won

@@Klote3241 I loved N. Macedonia. I did not notice the song at all till semi-finals, but once she opened those pipes, it was beautiful. My OH who is forced to watch even semis with me, also thought it amazing performance and actually lovely ballad. We send her votes.

Yes, even with the jury it was highly unfair, esp when we look at SanMarino 10th top place.

Spain was 14 in public votes. It's a shame that because of the juries we ended in the bottom... again. All the years the same with the same countries.

During the live result of the televotes, I was entering the scores on my excel spreedsheet. It was a clear winner AFTER Netherlands score was announced. The combination score for Sweden and North Macedonia was 151 points. Personally preferred 2016-2018 edition.
If you are not that nerdy, you will actually enjoy the process. This is so much better!. Next time ditch your spreadsheets!
Did a simulation of the the other version. The outcome is quite similar to 2016 result. Final 2 will be Netherlands and Norway. Back then was Ukraine and Russia. The suspense for this version is that a new leader will emerge from each of the final 5 announcement. Yes, this year result presentation is unique and its easier for the presenters. I don't enjoy it as much as we can see how the performers reacted upon receiving a very low scores from the tele-votes. It's a clear winner as Netherlands is the one to beat.

Stop saying this oe that country was robbed. 50/50%is a fair system.
Though subjectivity, (and in some cases just supportive of neighbous) will always be present in both televoters or juries, this way we have a balance.
Ye and Netherlands didn’t even get votes from their own Neighbouring country. It just goes to show that Televotes are much stronger than Jury Votes
@@RayPossibleGT we also never got in jury voting votes from our neighbors: Poland 0, Germany 0, only Austria 3 points. I have opposite feeling every yr. Jury voting is much more fair. I don't complain bec Czech rep. got 11th place and for us its amazing. We just grow up and we have to learn..... but I am so sad for other countries, really.

Both the jury and televote sequences were intense! My personal thoughts:
1. Obviously, congratulations to Duncan and 🇳🇱 for the victory after 44 years of waiting for another! This reminds me of the 2016 voting (neither won jury nor televote), but a deserved one nonetheless ❤️
2. Though I'm sad my winner 🇦🇱 didn't place higher, I think it's impressive for a #2 song to get 18th in recent years! I'm sure Albanians are proud of Ktheju tokës (I'm not Albanian btw) 😍
3. I'm glad 🇸🇪 didn't win again, thank you televoters for not overrating them again. No hate to Sweden and John, I just think the song don't deserve that high of a place.
4. Really happy for 🇲🇰 and 🇸🇲 for achieving their best ever results (8th & 20th respectively) this year. Well done underdog countries!
5. Sad for 🇳🇴 who did poorly with the juries... To me that song deserved way higher in jury voting. Glad they end up higher than 🇸🇪 though.
Also on the 🇮🇸 issue, I really think you could've just bleeped the curses. But I get the concerns with YT. Personally I applaud them for being brave about speaking up on a serious conflict which should NOT be ignored. I do think they shouldn't be disqualified next year though. Remember 🇦🇲 2016? Anyway thank you for all the ESC 2019 coverage from the selection season until the winner announcement! I really enjoyed all the livestreams and reaction videos. Hopefully I'll tune in again in the 2020 edition. Have a good rest to all :D

Watching this again after three weeks, Fernando really knows his stuff, doesn't he? The public are indeed harsh.
And Zack, someone will always do the maths and shout it out. In the green room or the press centre. A system which is unspoilable would be better. Perhaps they should only announce the televotes of the countries finishing in the top 10. Then display the full result once the winner is known. There will be plenty of time to do that before the winner's reprise, plus we wouldn't have as many embarrassing low score announcements.
Why isn't anybody counting the given points. I mean, there is only a amount of points to be given, so you already could have know that there were not enough points left for Sweden

Great reaction, although it's not for sure it will ve held jn Amsterdam. Because we also will get Formule1 in May very near to Amsterdam. Not enough room, nkt enough hotels to house all those people from both venues. If Formule1 will be in the same weekend I'm pretty sure they will not go for Amsterdam.
