Sacrificing your own clubs success, just so a random group of people don't banter you too hard. It's silly to write, but that's what it comes down to. Ange is right back this man all the way.

Last night proved why Tottenham Hotspur will forever and always be the world's biggest banter club.
The fans made an absolute mockery of our club last night and it will never be forgotten.
I always want my team to win no matter the situation. I couldn't care less about Arsenal they are of no interest to me.
Tottenham Hotspur's journey is far more important than what Arsenal may or may not achieve.

Barnaby, I am just very shocked/upset about the support that our lads weren't able to receive at our HOME ground.
The atmosphere in the stadium was shocking, our stadium is famous for the crowd energy being able to lift the players...the complete opposite happened...the lack of energy zapped the life out of the squad. I thought we were playing at the ETIHAD..
To hear "oh when the spurs" after we went 2:0 down was painful...how can Ange NOT be pissed about that?
I hope there will be no repercussions from this.........karma is a bitch.

Thanks Barnaby, I kind of went to town on Sonny Talks spurs video. The peanut gallery incensed me and I called them out. I was quite harsh and it devolved into Australian verses English entitlement. I will apologise to Sonny in the future! But you are right about the competitive nature of Aussies lol we will bet on two cockroaches running up a wall. If only to be first to get to the spider in the top corner. But all Spurs fans will have to adjust as Ange has indicated, so does he. He wont stop, he wont deflect ,he will march to a trophy even if he has to drag the stadium there. I think I just called him the "footballinator." 😁 But seriously your calm dissection of the reality, shows that we all need to pull together we all want that shiny metal cup! SO lets put this season to bed by winning the last match. Next season is only a few months away!

I definitely think that big Ange is talking about all of us as supporters. A winning mentality is something you don’t turn off. You don’t ask your players to turn it off, you don’t ask your coaches to turn it off and as an organization you don’t turn off a winning mentality… Not if you want to be a winning organization. Our approach should be that we want to win every time we play. Period. This is one of those times when we have to man up. We have NOT been good enough historically, and we want to change that. Maybe that means we have to put up with a little bit of ridicule. But you take it on the chin like a man, and you, stand your ground. Who cares what Arsenal supporters say! They had a good season. That doesn’t have to diminish our love for our club. If we are going to hold coaches and players to the standard of a winning mentality all the time, we have to reflect that as supporters. That means we back our manager, and we back his mentality to change the organization top to bottom. He is here and chooses to remain here because he wants to be the man who helps deliver, a title to Tottenham. Imagine that, somebody who chooses to be here because he sees the potential and wants us to succeed. We can all get behind that type of vision and that type of person who wants to deliver that vision into reality.

Football like life has changed immeasurably over the last 30 plus years. Old rivalries have shrunk visibly. I’ve supported THFC since 1968 and notice like many that very few players in any clubs first team are even English, Scottish, Welsh or Irish. If we arrange our few football brain cells in a row & understand the modern reality of the PL we’ll realise that AP is right in that THFC
winning is all that matters. In the greater scheme of things Arsenal no longer matter in any way shape or form. We should bring this thought into the future

I'm with Ange, last night the most important thing for me was beating MC I didn't give Arsenal a thought until after the match, I was watching on TV and was shocked at the lack of vocal support from the home fans who didn't really make any appreciable noise until after City went 2-0 up, to want your club to lose to spite your local rivals is a loser mentality. I hope the football we played last night was a little teaser for the new season with tactical tweaks that helped us to test City to the full. I've heard one person today bragging that Spurs spoiled Arsenal's season, er no, MC may have spoiled Arsenal's season by beating us, and remember there's still a full fixture list on Sunday in which West Ham and/or Everton could have a big say in the destination of the PL trophy, so I'm not making any rash predictions as on Saturday evening I'd prefer a slice of schadenfreude to humble pie.
Ange should be backed to the hilt by the club and fans, we have improved, and with prudent recruitment and player sales we can be a lot better next season. COYS!!!

Barnaby, I totally agree with your comments regarding Ange being Australian and the passion to win. Me being Australian, we have always been the underdog in a lot of sports, but with that brings a massive drive to win! Yes we may not understand the rivalry in North London but we definitely understand the rivalry in Cricket with the Ashes, and you have seen our drive to win over the decades and we have been successful in that space before. All in all, Ange wants to change the mentality at Spurs and I for one, loved how he reacted yesterday. In the end, we’re going to be a much better and stronger team going forward with Ange.

It was mentioned earlier this year how much Ange was transforming Tottenham in to a club that top players from around the world would now be attracted to joining. Well, after the last few days, you can kiss that goodbye! This summer window, Ange's job to convince players why they should sign for Spurs over any other EPL club has become 1000 times more difficult than it was just 7 days ago.
Who the hell would want to play for a club who's fan base thinks its fine to CHEER FOR THE OPPOSITION AT THEIR OWN HOME GROUND, all in the name of some petty, small-minded, spitefulness for their local rivals?
The majority of Spurs fans have made it very clear this week. They are more afraid of of being teased down at the pub on the weekend by some random loser in a Gunners shirt, than have their team qualify for Champions League football. Nobody with any level of self respect is interested in joining that tribe.
This summer window, if I'm a high-level player who wants to play in the EPL, with priorities of winning trophies over a paycheck, Spurs are now back at the bottom of my list. And they will remain there for the next decade or more. This astonishing, disgusting outpouring of blatant disloyalty from the fan base - and from the smallest of vloggers to high-profile pillocks like Jamie O'Hara - won't be forgotten any time soon. Ange knows this, and its no doubt a big reason why he's so angry and disillusioned right now.
So, well done Spurs fans, you've just guaranteed yourself no silverware for another two decades. You get what you deserve.

To put what Ange said in perspective. "Both Inside and Outside" he was referring to the fans that purposely didn't back the players at the game. He also mentioned "Inside" referring to Club Staff who were openly backing Spurs to lose. That should piss any Manager off that wants his players to win. Imagine what that does to the players. Where was the 12th Man at the game? They are not Robots. If you don't think it affects players, just go and have a look at Sonny missing an absolute sitter. As you know he always nails those shots because he 100% plays for the shirt. Spurs has a Loser Mentality within the Club. Certainly isn't Ange and it isn't the Players. This is a real wake up call.

My takeaway from that game was relief that it was over, and pride in how the team were finally clicking. They played well. I understand Ange's frustration with fans who wanted Spurs to lose to Man City, but he needs to understand that we have been starved of trophies since ENIC took over Spurs. We have only won one League Cup since 2001. Every year, Levy has been making promises to build a strong team that can compete for the league title. Our best player, Harry Kane, left the club because Levy didn't sign quality players to play alongside him. We, the fans, remain loyal to our beloved club. Managers may come and go; there's no loyalty, that's the norm. Who knows, one day Ange may manage our fiercest rival, Arsenal. Stop making unnecessary comments about us, the loyal fans, Ange. Do your job, we will give you the time you need, and we hope you do well and give us the success we've been craving for.
The truth of the matter is that we are not winning any trophies under the management of ENIC & Levy. We will always be good at managing our finances, but the footballing side will be unsuccessful. We will continue hiring great managers, and they will come and they will go. The fans will always remain loyal no matter what happens. We love our club a lot.

Why is everyone so vocal after the fact - like they were fully unaware there was a conflicting feeling. However, watch the game in stadium with the usual support. Every Spurs fan wanted to beat Arsenal - I didn’t see Ange getting so incensed by being 0-3 with the full backing of the fans. Frankly, The fans hardly make a difference against these top teams. Look at the Covid years. Kuli or son missing their chances was to do with the fans? This is Man City guys - top side. Spurs fans never had a problem getting a point at City. No feeling that it would help Arsenal win the league. Did Spurs fans have a better mentality then? Were the foundations better then and the changed Tuesday night? Spurs support home and away has been incredible for decades, despite the clubs overall failure. It’s not made a jot of difference. It was an exceptional game - let’s move on, take what ange is saying- but let’s not pretend Spurs fans with full support has won league titles and cups year in year out

Spot on mate you really understand how the fans feel. If we were already in champions league or going for the title things would be different. Like you said it was a perfect storm. I didn’t celebrate the goals hated it but for sure it would have been horrific if we handed them arseholes the title

Cannot blame any fans for wanting to lose last night. There is no way Spurs could help the Arse holes in winning the league. Besides, its Ange's first season and he needs time

I think the loss puts us in a more realistic place to succeed next season as Europa will give Ange a better test bed for players with less game time but the celebrating in the stadium made it embarrassing to be a Spurs fan.

Ange's first loyalty should be towards the team & their wellbeing. His second should be winning everything so I can get how hearing a load of classless "fans" cheering the opposition & encouraging a loss would get his back up because it's bad for morale & goes against his aspirations.
Sure I got the implications of us losing but making a big celebration of it in the stadium just stank & gave the wrong message.
I also think Levy told him he'd only get the funds he needs if he secures 4th because Levy doesn't care about rivalries just making money & he was alluding to that.

Excuse, excuse, excuse, always to have an alibi to protect the situation which means there is no success. it was an opportunity to get Champions League football which provided Tottenham only moment of real glory in the last 15 years for a club that’s not won the FA Cup for 33 years and not won the league title for over 60 years. The more you say the more it comes across as excuses excuses, conte was spot on. despite the best stadium in the country and enormous fan base spurs win nothing - they idea they did not want Arsenal to have bragging rights is stupid.

    The team were outstanding.
We played our swashbuckling, kamikaze football and did ourselves proud.
The result was what we wanted.
Ange though scored an own goal.
    Bordering on unforgivable.
Calling out the board is one thing; criticising the fans - the real investors, the cultural shareholders, the real employer - is another.
This is a conversation that should have only happened behind closed doors.

Mate, first line of the video you mentioned Arsenal, and live and breathe Tottenham means throwing a game just to stop them from wining? Sportsmanship hello? Ange doesn't understand arch rivalry? He managed Celtic mate, do you know about that club with Rangers? He wants us to move above that, be better than that.
You continued the video to speak if though it was normal to aim for Spurs defeat for Arsenal, I don't see you would move on from the hate in football; yesterday it was the other guy unsubscribing, today is my turn, shame as i also watch a lot of We are Tottenham, now I wish there were less petty villagers on there.
It seems only Chris has the sportsmanship an moral standard representing our club on fan social, no wonder why he is so successful bless him.

No offence but I think you guys think that our rivalry is somehow immeasurable to any other rivalry in the world. That is bollocks. He is Greek fir goodness sake, just look up some of those rivalries. It is so condescending to continue bringing this point up. Don’t blame Ange for our fan base requiring therapy for our fear of being shithoused by WhatsApp groups. Let’s admit it was us fans putting ourselves ahead of the team. Was partying like drunken school kids really necessary in the aftermath? Unfortunately this is what we’ve become. Apologists for celebrating others failures.

Mate out attackers are rea!!y poor and that's being kind. They can't pass, cross, take a player on or score. We still have many players we need to get rid of, our attackers have been poor all season to be honest, we have missed the easiest chances and in in half easy chances we couldn't even hit the target! It's ridiculous how bad we've been and it's not like the chances have not been created!

I am going to push back HARD on those whose Arse-Hatred surpasses their Spurs support. Listen to yourselves - would you PLEASE! You've allowed the lowest of Gooner-lovers to get your goat! The snipes of 'bottlers, empty trophy cabinet, Spursy play' - it's goddamned pathetic. Grow UP! Don't take the bait. Avoid places where they PLACE the bait! To allow yourselves to hate Arsenal more than u love Spurs is where you've landed! How does it look to see those words in print in front of you? How can you continue on with this soul - eating point of view? It leads nowhere and could actually cause Spurs to lose a coach who could finally put them on a winning track. All because of your infantilism and ridiculous adherence to an old testament-type of grudge.
