  • Are Religion & Science at loggerheads with each other? That depends on what’s your definition of ‘Religion’… The Ancient Indian Civilization had incredible scientific temper and the reason for this has been in its rich Spiritual Roots. In this doc film, we will tell you HOW & WHY Religion & Science were never conflicting in India, unlike in Medieval Europe or elsewhere.

    Sir my journey, Born in Brahmin family had a deep influence by my mother I became hardcore blind believer of Gods and Goddess. In my teenage I took science and influenced by Many Scientist and by GREAT Stephen Hawking I became Atheist and also all my Bengali(nothing to discriminate but Yes they all are Radical communist) teachers who are hardcore communist make me believe that Hindus and their civilization is very inferior and have nothing to be proud of or learn from it 😂. Later again my curious mind didn't get all the answers and then slowly I go to Vedas and From Many Gurus I got all my question solved related to human life and mind. I am a SEEKER now, Always tried to balance Bhakti, Karm, GYAN and Kriya 🙏. Sir I have no words to decorate You and believe that your Hard work to awakening our misguided youth and people will definitely guide them to the better answers 🙏.

      well you have a rich culture where the idea was debated for millenia Thats the only way i can explain it
      It is true that teachers everywhere had a propensity towards communism that they saw as more fair but apart from that i havent seen communists preaching against religion In communist countries in Europe It was just forbiden by laws and eventually left to operate discretly and /or covertly
      Nor have i seen communists preach atheism in my school where communists lost the civil war and their families were persecuted till the 80s It was totally a non issue or maybe it was deliberate and a centralised upper comitee decision to not talk about that as they realised it was unpopular
      Thanks for your commnt I found it very interesting that in India it was taken seriously

    "Religion" is more of a concept of Abrahamic Ideologies.
    While "Science" or "Knowledge" is more of a concept of Dharmic Doctrine, which teaches questioning.
    Now, part of that also means to question your science book, so never stop questioning.
    You are only "Vidya-arthi", if you seek the "Arth" (True Meaning) of the Vidya (Knowledge) you obtain.

    Namaskar.
    1. A good summary. Nicely presented.
    2. A word of caution. When I shared with a few, some of them pointed out that you may be able to do a better job acknowledging the sources (even recent) if you borrow material from them. I understand it is never easy to do that without losing the flow, but something to consider. I asked for specific examples and they provided me a few. I agree with their viewpoint. As to if you accept my suggestion and how you deal with the issue (may be CZcams footnotes in descriptions, etc.) is up to you.
    3. I also saw your video on 'Uttara Kand' of Ramayana. Again, a good job and still I think most (if not all) of the arguments are still on a weaker foundation. However, there are very strong arguments that can be made based on empirical and objectively testable evidence from all 7 Kandas that prove beyond reasonable doubt that Ramayana consists of 7 Kandas.
    Best wishes.

    Great show I enjoyed it.
    Religion = subjective
    Science = objective
    That’s how I see it...
    To merge Physics with Meta-Physics is the goal.
    The Sanskrit language has the syntax for this... They have the words to clearly distinguish the subtle dimensions of physicality. Words to clearly discern the physical from the non-physical. Words to define mind and brain...
    As the mind is not in the brain anymore than the pinky finger...
    It’s an entire body of itself....
    When I reach out and touch the wall, sure it has a chemical composition.
    But it’s MIND....
    Your actually touching your mind... just like the dream projects the chicken and the egg...
    Nothing came 1st or last....
    I see time as an EFFECT not a cause.

    This video does a good job in highlighting the achievements of our culture, and clarifying how 'dharma' is different from the usual understanding by the word 'religion'. As a secular Indian I have always been for preserving and furthering our cultural heritage. I don't understand why secularism is associated with rejection of culture. What I do feed sad about is that our actually amazing achievements in mathematics and science are being overshadowed by pseudo-scientific propaganda for the selfish benefit of a few and painting our culture in a bad light.

      a lot of secular Indians fail to realize this. They are hellbent to destroy religion. The word 'religion' itself is more of a poison to them and they most importantly don't get the difference between religion and dharma. And what pseudo-sciences that are mentioned in Hindu texts what my opinion is are a later addition. At this very point the whole atheist community is going to abuse me or laugh at my thought. But what I feel is we Indians have never been unscientific and the invaders who read our texts misinterpreted and wrongly translated them sometimes unintentionally and most of the times intentionally as Hindu dharma did not meet the criteria that their Abrahamic religion follows and that is what we reading now which takes us very very far away from the truth

    The problem with "religion" is that one can be tricked into believing that 2+3=4 without evidence, but dharma of EVERYTHING will not let you believe that and instead prove that 2+3=5 with EVIDENCE.

    Only if world leaders understand war, which they can learn from Mahabharata, In short if any country wants to invade the other country, then must decide the place and the day to go for war. In that way citizens of both countries would be safe. Hope world leaders take a note from our dharma and use it for good.
    As always I Thank for your efforts for producing such a wonderful documentary.

      Dharma itself means Righteousness. If they do a bad thing it is called Adharma.
