- The project I started months ago is finally finished and the Back Porch looks lovely! I am so pleased that is is finally done! Then there is the spinning! I oiled my Drum Carder and made some rolags in preparation for a bit of spinning next week.You want to watch next week as I announce the Fifth Birthday Giveaway!
But first, a little road trip with Anna to see the annual spectacle that is the Halls of Heddon Dahlia and Chrysanthemum show gardens.

This is my favorite channel. You do so many different crafts, I knit, crochet, quilt (very simple nothing like yours) embroidery, and counted cross stitch. I love watching you do your quilts and the spinning. The back porch is beautiful, would love to see complete tour of your house. It is so unique and homey. Thanks so much for all your videos.

Just found your channel recently. Wish I could find a friend like you in real life. I really enjoy your sewing/quilting, plants, cats, decorating, I too am a Granny to a 3 year old. Unfortunately we are very far away from Brynn. We have moved frequently for Hubby's work. So with his long hours I am alone. So hard at 63, thank you for your channel...
Congratulations on the redo of your sun porch and five year anniversary. It’s wonderful to fix up a useless space into a place you want to be. I know when I do that I wonder why it took so long.
I’ve been subscribed about five years. I wish I could claim to be so from the beginning, but no. I remember about 1,500 subs at the time. I know I started watching you because my mother had died in 2017 and left some unfinished quilts that I was researching on CZcams how to finish and you popped up. So you were a great comfort to me.
As for curtains, I made some pojagi curtains with 6” batik blocks that I learned from you. I love how they are finished on both sides.

wow Kate this was a good one. you inspired me. We moved to 11 acres in the woods of Nova Scotia Canada I will have a big garden and it is on a small lake just to add great joy to the whole thing. Thankyou for the years of tranquility you have added to my previously traumatic life. I have made the quilts you walked us through and baked along with you. Now I will live in the out of doors in the way you do; with long walks in the wooded trails and peaceful sits on my quiet deck. Thankyou so much for giving me a dream to strive for.

Love your entryway transformation! It's perfect!! I remember when I found your channel 5 years ago. I would go round work telling everyone I was watching this lovely woman from Northumberland who reminded me of my mom. "Their personalities are different, but like my mom, Kate does everything!" When I saw the bed off the porch it made me think of my great-grandmothers house, she had a small sun porch off the kitchen she used as her sewing room and it had a built in seat that me and my cousins would use to read and take naps on. Made me smile when you said you took a nap there. 😊

I think I'd much rather been hanging curtains than what I've been doing. I've been mowing the lawn yippee, NOT! In years past I loved mowing lawns, after delivering news papers for my older brother, mowing lawns was my first real job. In 2010 my body decided it was done living due to an over abundance of stress. I took a 52 day medically induced nap in the hospital and woke up paralyzed from the neck down. Since learning to use my arms and legs again, they just don't quite act right, or should I say they don't act as they did before my forced nap. Anyhow, I needed to give my legs a rest from mowing by watching your video. Thanks for putting it up just in time to give me a much needed rest before I go back out and finish mowing!!
