2012 pennies ,two versions magnetic /non magnetic ,mint rolls in plastic in most cases,paper wrapped if in Ottawa /Winnipeg. Winnipeg mint production of Canada circulated coins.PS keep up the great work.Just sub your channel.

Yep, those are the keys. '22, '23, and '25. The 24 is not a key though you are unlikely to find it roll hunting.
I use to go to old orchard beach every summer throughout the mid 80's to late 90's and could always distinguish the canadians by the speedo's that most of them wore at the beach! LoL!

Hi, Big D. I'm hoping you can help me. I'm a 60 year old terminal cancer patient. When I was 5, my dad took me to Canada for an overnight fishing trip. Dad's gone now, and I will be too soon, but I would really like to have a set of coins (penny, nickel, dime and quarter only) from that era (anything from the sixties) purely for nostalgia's sake. I do not collect for value, so well used coins would suit me fine. I live in Texas, or else I would go there and get them for myself, but I can't. Could I solicit your help in acquiring a cheap set of Canadian coins from the early sixties?

I have a 1960 in my collection
I got some penny roles and went through them. with a magnet found some 2006 that were magnetic and some that were not. Got the idea that precious metals were not going beyond 2006 however I found three pennies from 2003 that are magnetic. Did they already start non precious metals in 2003 and then went back to precious metals? Of the three pennies from 2003 the obverse is different. But they are all magnetic. Do I have something?

@@44Aroda I saw some at a coin collector store. But I think they were 2012. No metal value. I doubt the bank would give them out. Try nickels. USA still uses copper and nickel. Any nickel before 1982 is maybe 20 cents. after 1982 before 2000 also has value.

My son has 3 Canadian pennies that are steel or silver. Years are 1964, 1971 and 1975. The one from 1964 was Queen Elizabeth's first pic. The other coins have the second pic. Are they valuable? I can't find them on the net at all.
I’m sorry this is a late reply however , the weight of those years should be non magnetic and 3.24 grams. None made in steel or silver.

I've found Canadian pennies in bags of wheat cents ( guaranteed to *only contain wheat cents,... yah, right!) But I've found a 1933 "George", a 1960 and two 1967 "Dove cents". So I'm totally Okay with it. Finding a Paso would be surprising.

Hi, I'm from Canada loved your video didn't know all that, just a note: you and your followers , the Canadian penny from 2006 I'm not sure, anyway you will find some that are magnetic and others not in the same year. Here the good part..if it is non magnetic and has a logo under the Queen you can get up to $5000...if it is non magnetic but has no logo under the Queen it's goes down fast. There are some good Utube video on this...Good hunting ppl.

Yes and no. Most of them are not worth much more than face value. Any from 1920-1936 are hard coins and can bring good money depending on the date. King George VI type are worth keeping. I personally keep all the Elizabeth's of the first portrait type. After that it can be hit an miss with a few errors and varieties being worth good money (do some research), But most cents after 1963 are worth... a cent.

The royal Canadian mint doesn't call it a portrait, instead it is referred to as an effigy. The last effigy, the crownless Susana Blunt effigy Canada broke with the tradition of using the same effigy as the UK.

There's a difference in the size of Queen Elizabeth face it's bigger on the 1968 coin that I have and on the 1960 coin it's smaller which indicates a mint change
