Fantastic overview of all pennies discussed.... 1-cent pieces were discontinued in May 2012....got too expensive to produce.

Due to the massive amounts of pennies produced over the years, the vast majority of Canadian pennies will only be worth their face value or copper value for a very very long time to come. Only the rare ones are worth keeping

Hi from Australia I have us quarters dimes 1 Phillipines ,1 2006 Canadian was watching other videos when this one popped up so I started watching nearly fell out of my chair when you started showing the three 2006 ,I have the plain I checked it’s non magnetic as good as the one you showed in your opinion what would it be worth ty
If it is plain, it's supposed to be non-magnetic, so you have a standard penny unfortunately

one of the few that miss the penny, for the last year i found some varities one is with some extra metal under the first 2 and also some doubling of the date, i have a few that have some extra metal on the o in 2012 on the side next to the first 2. Also once opening up a roll of unc 2012 cents all the coins had black spots on them.

There’s nothing rare about 1967 nickels

My oldest Canadian penny 1933, 36, a lot of 40's. 1/2 penny. Hong Kong money, Australian, Bahamas and Singapore

1931 is not a rare year, and Canada has not had a bicentennial yet.

You could try your luck on ebay, or bring it to a local coin shop

It all depends on the condition of the coin. A 1911 penny could be worth anywhere from 50 cents to $30
What about a 2003 P magnetic penny? Is it valuable?
The "P" is for plated steel, which means it is supposed to be magnetic. If yours has a "P" and is magnetic, that is a normal penny which is not valuable.
You should show the obverse for “ No Fold

The third coin shown at 3:03 is a standard penny for that year, it is not worth anything.

I have a 1954 Canadian penny with a die crack that protrudes and one that is inside I literally cannot find anything about this Penny anywhere if anybody could help me out that would be awesome
Oh cool, I collected Canadian coins for a while and I have both the 1922 and 1925 pennies, with the first being probably in F or VF condition and the second is barely readable with a huge scratch on the back.

i have a 1925 and 1926, the 25 has a 100% purple toning on the reverse and nice rim toning on the obverse

@@CanadianKingCoins funny story about where it came from, i bought an old roadside motel and as we were renovating it we found tons of silver and rare collector coins along with old 1800s silver purses and other old goodies stashed inside of the walls...i couldnt believe it! the guy that previously owned it used to buy silver and gold from an ad in the paper...supposedly there is a bunch of gold buried on the property but i haven't found it....yet, lol...there was A LOT of old canadian coins, even got a 1926 near 6 nickel that might graded 64+...all in all, im pretty sure what we found paid for the whole property (over 150 silver dollars and just TONS of other silver coinage)

The “shoulder fold” portrait is higher relief, so it shows a visible line or crease or something down the Queens dress from the shoulder.
“No shoulder fold” is a lower relief portrait, so the line doesn’t show up.

I also have 1937 dot Canadian nickel and 2 1947 dot nickel.
“1937 dot” nickels are not a special variety, that dot was just a part of the standard design in the date lettering for that year

If it’s non-magnetic and does not have a “P” under the Queen’s head it’s a normal penny.
There were magnetic and non-magnetic pennies made almost every year from 2001 to 2012. All of them are perfectly normal except the 2006s I explained in this video

@@johnerickson1605 there are only 3 of them known in existence, and all of them are proof versions that were taken from the mint by employees, so all 3 of them have a clear line of ownership over the years. The 1936 dot pennies were never released into circulation like the regular 1936 pennies, which themselves aren’t very rare today.
If you actually found a 1936 dot penny, not only would you be a multimillionaire, and make history, but it would begin the biggest mystery in all of coin collecting, as to how this coin went unaccounted for, and then was suddenly discovered out of the blue.
Don't believe me I know that I have one because that is what it is and there is a very small dot on it you can handle see it
@@johnerickson1605 if you want to ignore everything I just said, and you’re so sure you have one, you’ll need to contact every news agency you can think of and tell them about your find, because you’ll be the most famous collector of the past few decades.

i am not joking i have the full collection from 1920 to 1972,,,including the1922 1923 the 1924 1925 1926,,,and the 1947 maple leaf and the other 1947.....howmuch it worth anyone knows
If most of them are in good condition, you could probably sell it for around $75. Only the 1922 to 1926 are really worth anything. Everything else is almost worthless
