    Why not machine spacers instead of using washers. Digital caliper will tell you exactly the measurements to mill some spacers for the rear differential!

      We made this suggestion, among many others and passed it up the food chain. We will be receiving a completely revised/updated design sometime mid to late next week.
      When this customer initially ordered this kit, it was very new, and by the time we got around to installing, there was about a year or so of time that had passed, so in the production cycle many changes were made, and Apex has offered to send us the completely revised kit that solves all of the issues we highlighted. We will be covering it in an upcoming VLOG episode, so stay tuned :)

    Damn, that Apex fitment is disapointting. I was about to purchase the full track kit for my s30, but now I have my doubts. For 10 k€ that it would cost shipped it everything should be spot on...

      @GodzillaRaceworks  Před 7 měsíci +1

      We can't speak for the track attack kit, as we haven't installed one, but as far as this one is concerned, we are waiting for a revised crossmember to install that solves the majority of the issues we ran into. We are expecting it to ship out by the end of this week, and it will be covered in one of the upcoming monthly vlogs.

      Yeah, I need to get some proof that it actually fits before I make the order. If the frame is fully welded, painted and prepped the last thing I want to do is start cutting it up again. It's ok, if you know in advance that you need to cut the frame in order to make a certain diff fit, but customer should be aware of that.

      @GodzillaRaceworks  Před 7 měsíci

      @@pvainola Fair enough, we'll see how the revised design fits, and we'll make sure to report any benefits or drawbacks we find.

      Maybe wait to see the conclusion of this 240z before you make a decision. We have some good stuff coming up.

    Rear Differential design is horrible. Design the part to fit the car, not build some crap and then cut up a car to fit

    • @GodzillaRaceworks
      @GodzillaRaceworks  Před 7 měsíci +1

      To a certain degree you are correct, however this was not modeled as a direct bolt-in kit. It's a retro-fit kit, and despite some of the fitment issues, considering the 8 year span of the s30, you're going to have to accept that a 370z differential in a 50 year old car isn't going to fit up like an OEM part.
