That head kick was a trap, deliberately set up by Leon. Not a “car accident”. That was a head kick disguised by the left, knowing Kamaru tendency to lean and parry with a left coming towards him.
More of a Kamaru fan here but definitely not a fluke. Fluke to me is a decision/early stoppage. Kamaru was sent to the ghost realm.

There's a video of his trainers studying a Usman fight on a tablet and the quieter one makes the observation about Usman dipping to his one side and actually comes up with and acts out that combination. The video then cuts to him drilling Leon on that exact combination.

He literally took a felon's side after Colby got sucker punched. And then shamelessly kept doing Masvidal interviews where he kept showering him with praises, tiptoing around the actual act. Ariel chose the more popular star for his own business, and he is acting surprised.

It would be great if Leon could squeeze in one fight before the Trilogy with Usman - just so he can make some money as champ because the Trilogy will be one extremely tough fight. He could fight in December and then if he's still champion fight Usman in March next year. So, who should Leon fight? Mazvidal, Burns, Covington or the winner of Diaz vs Chimaev?
He will lose the Trilogy. I know it was only 2 fights, but, Kinda like when McGregor lost to Diaz, then, Mac came back and "won" the rematch.. I honestly thought Nathan won both fights.
There is no doubt in my mind or anyone else's that the best fight for him money wise is gonna be Khamzat/Nate but with the timing and recovery involved I don't think the timing aligns well, leading to Masvidal being the best fight due to history, maybe he could make more off a Colby fight but he is deffo gonna struggle on the ground with Colby. Best case scenario, December comes round and he fights Chimaev, but most likely it will be Masvidal imo (if he ends up defending the belt before Usman)

I'm trying to figure out CHAEL'S work here, because I'm sensing a work. I'm sure despite being a wrestler, he is well aware that Leon threw that punch in order to get usman's head where he wanted it, so him pretending otherwise is suspect. Maybe he wants to downplay Leon's skill for some reason. But I do agree with him on one thing. I am sure Dana and the ufc are trying to figure out how to get chimaev or Covington in there against Leon. Personally I think he shocks them and beat both.
I don’t think he’s downloading the KO at all. He’s just saying that the dip is why it was a KO, which is true. That’s NOT implying that the dip had nothing to do with the feint.

the best play for leon is to call out masvidal, say he doesn't care about his losses, and demand revenge for the three piece and a soda. he will probably out strike masvidal, make more money, and get sponsorship money for another year. on top of that, usmans getting old and hes been complaining about his knees for years. also gives him time to work on his wrestling. while hes doing that, he could suggest usman fight belal, usman will decline, then he can use that as an excuse to try and get another easy fight.
he could then call usman an entitled crybaby, demand he fight someone, which buys him time to work wrestling and usmans aging. then maybe hope tony Ferguson wins or wonderboy wins. i think usman and Covington wrestle him and win on points.

From the looks of camp footage I would say that was one intentional car wreck.
The only thing that changed from the plan was Usman had eaten so many left jabs that when he saw the right/left combo coming he dipped it without Leon committing to the strike and allowing for even more balance and strength in his kick.
Usman got setup and defeated as planned. When you practice a specific finish and GET THAT FINISH, that isn't a car wreck, that's a well planned execution.
