    Hello
    great video but could tell me if when your bike is running does the middle cowl that covers the rad cap gets hot, as I have noticed on my 600this area gets quite hot even to the touch and i don't remember it getting that hot before?
    And I'm just trying to confirm or not if others with the same bike suffer the same.

      Hi there, thanks for the feedback.
      I honestly can't say I've noticed it being hot, it doesn't seem right that the heat should transfer to the fairings. I actually plan on finishing this series tomorrow and putting the bike back together for the final episode so I will have a look for one once the bike is back together. 👍

      I flushed and replaced the coolant and I have noticed the same thing, the fairing on the right side is noticeably hotter. I haven't yet figured out what it is yet.

      Ahren Quddus it’s weird I even emptied out the coolant and refilled and bled again but still the same.
      I wondered if the thermostat isn’t closing as fast or the road cap is seeping pressure, just seems very odd and thought I was going mad.

    • @aoq2857
      @aoq2857 Před 3 lety

      blusta24 Ya my first thought was that the new coolant was doing a better job distributing excess heat from the engine, but that makes sense too. My only hope is that the heat doesn't do any damage to the fairings.

    how much coolant did you end up using?

    • @FrontWheelUp
      @FrontWheelUp  Před 3 lety +1

      The bike took just over 3.5 litres, that includes filling the reserve tank. 👍

      Ahren Quddus hello mate, i think it was 3 litres and I used Honda’s own hp coolant.

    @seinfeld11123 Před 3 lety +1

    if you flush with 50/50 white vinegar /water, you only need to flush with that once, cool drain then just water, cool/drain that then new coolant. :) but good job man.

      @@FrontWheelUp dude I just did a pairs delete, spark plugs and coolant change. let me just say honda give their mechanics 4 hours to do that. I would honestly PAY THEM it took me almost 9 hours and I am good at fixing stuff. the worst was bleeding my coolant I could not get all the air out fuck me. I ended up leaving it on the stand on a big hill so the radiator was seriously higher. and the next morning I still had to start stop 12 times cause it still had air.
      in the end I just put the cap on and said fuck it if it blows it blows. lol

      @@seinfeld11123 maybe your had gaskets is gone or you have a leak somewhere would explain why you constantly had air in the system? Or you didn’t bleed system properly?

    • @seinfeld11123
      @seinfeld11123 Před měsícem

      @@jimmyboimazarti1234 no there is lots of spots for air to build up on them. the air sits in the water/oil cooler plates, and then and the standard thermostat opens at 100 degrees C which is stupid. you can buy a HRC thermostat which opens at 70 degrees, i have since changed it for that. and it was much easier to bleed with the thermostat opening much earlier. otherwise with the 100C one you can barely start it before it boils over. but yeah all fixed mate. thanks for the ideas tho :)

    Can someone tell me the regular temperature on this bike? My bike during trafic jams goes to 223, and then goes up to 228/230😢

    • @narutostarfox44
      @narutostarfox44 Před 9 měsíci

      Mines the same but it never typically went up past 222/223. Just recently it's hitting 228 which is why I'm flushing the coolant
