This is beautiful but I will not give the government any credit because they can do better than this. Look at our national sports stadiums and is the government saying that they cannot redevelop at least two to meet international sports stadiums? Meanwhile, we always say Ghana is a soccer nation. This is a disgrace. The original plan was to construct a $400 million 50 thousand capacity stadium which was to come with tennis courts, boxing arena etc. They failed because they could not raise the money. When Zambia hosted the games the last time, they built a new huge stadium which today serves as their national stadium. We have failed in spite of the extension of time given us. That is why we went for the partially built University of Ghana stadium, and put in some money to complete it for the games. What is at Borteiman is not the original stadium that this uninformed reporter wants us to believe. It is a mini complex of small aenas for the various disciplines. It is shame on Ghana. All the countries that have hosted the games have built modern stadia for it. Ghana is the only exception, but our cheap politically motivated illiterates parading as journalist are hailing mediocrity. Shameless villager.
