I want to. We got our passports but my child is disabled. Not something I signed up for and other places aren’t as accepting of these issues and I will need the services cause I have my own issues now smh

Hey there mama. While moving abroad with a disabled child may come with additional I still believe that you can. Remember that there are families everywhere you go and there are local families who also have disabled children. That said, there may be resources in the city you choose to help make the transition easier and to help create a great life abroad with your child. I recommend researching and joining local Facebook mom groups in the area(s) that you're interested in and asking about different options and resources that could assist you. You may be surprised at what you find out! Don't give up-- where there's a will, there's a way. :-)

I want to do this but i'm a father and don't have sole custody. Do you co parent or are you the sole parent?

I have sole physical custody but not sole legal custody. Thankfully, I have a very good relationship with my son's father and we've been able to raise our son without the help of the courts. He was fully on board for our move to Mexico (after several conversations about the benefits, of course) and even assisted with the Power of Attorney paperwork so that I could make all parenting decisions for our son while abroad. You too can do it, but it helps to have the cooperation with the other parent if you want to make it easy for everyone involved. 🙂
