I'm a single mom with one child. She is 18 next month and has had a very independent spirit her whole life. She plans to move out of state. It's a bittersweet situation. I'm already mourning the loss while having moments of looking forward to my journey of finding me again outside of being mom.
Some days I cry like a baby and other days, I'm coping with it well. This is a tough life transition. Thank you for putting this video out!

Video would be much better if you had a father who had also been a single parent. It diminishes the experience of the single parent to have a co-speaker who had a stay-at-home parent as a partner in raising his children. It’s a very different experience and his opinion/ advice is not as helpful as opinions/ advice from a single parent would have been.
